Rare original 12" mix, by Steve 'Silk' Hurley, featuring Madonna's vocal in error. Only included on the cassette and vinyl formats of UK compilation album 'Now Dance 92'. The CD features the standard 7" mix, with Kim Basinger's re-recorded vocal. This audio is ripped from the cassette, not ideal quality!

How many versions of this song are out there and from which albums? I have four versions. Where does the Prince of Darkness version come from? It sounds much different than the Born to laugh at the Tornadoes Version

The song was recorded for Born To Laugh At Tornados originally, with an early demo featuring a pre-fame Madonna. When they decided to release a greatest hits compilation in the 90s (Hello, Dad...I'm In Jail), they had some old tracks remixed by the likes of Steve 'Silk' Hurley. They re-discovered the old demo and asked Madonna for permission to use her old unused vocal on a new mix - she denied permission. They instead got Ozzy 'Prince Of Darkness' Osborne and Kim Basinger to re-record Madonna's bits, and released the results as a single to promote the compilation. In the process, the mixes using Madonna's vocals were accidently used on some promo copies. Her full vocal version appears on the Now Dance 92 LP and cassette, plus the Dub Mix, which is found on follow up single, Somewhere In America (There's A Street Named After My Dad).
