Olympus OM-D E-M1X was launched in 2019, breaking away from the original principles of Micro Four Thirds which was all about making truly small cameras yet delivering powerful performance. In fact, E-M1X was larger than most full frame cameras, DSLR or Mirrorless, and the benefit of true portability and carry with you everywhere was abandoned. This was also the first jump Olympus took going deep into wildlife photography, emphasizing on birds and nature. The specialization of outdoor, wildlife theme did not go very well, which was extended well beyond the time Olympus Imaging was shut down and was taken over by OM Digital Solutions. I cannot help but wonder if E-M1X was the big mistake that led to many future complications, and I want to discuss this topic in this coming Live Stream. Come join in the conversation!
