So this is another fairytale reference which Ren loves. This time it’s Jack and the beanstalk. Ren is Jack (also in Screech character) and he’s basically shit talking the giant. He’s out having fun running in the streets. The Squid games is another cultural reference to big against small. It’s a classic underdog story.
If some one has not suggested, Power or Ocean by Ren yet then there ya go. Those are 2 of my favs. Like Home Free, it's hard to go wrong with, Ren. I know this is a bit older now but it takes me a minute to get around to all the reactors I watch. But thanks for doing this. I love seeing all the different perspectives on the music. The Morgan Freeman bar refers to his character - an incarcerated killer - in Shawshank Redemption. The entire song - about beings who "lose it" - is Ren losing it on this track, with a lot of flexing. It's fun. Ren's "retakes" are all instrumental tracks of well-known songs that he wrote all new lyrics for. They're a fun challenge. Not many people would try to rap over a 90s EDM classic like Fisher's "Losing It." Ren's "Bittersweet Symphony," "All My Life," and "Right Here, Right Now" are all awesome retakes.
