That members of byrdgang mixtape in the summer of ‘06 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 i just KNEW bundles was up next. I just KNEW he was next up in New York. I was FUCKED up when he got killed cause he was on his way. He was right there. One of the biggest “what if’s” of all time. I’m still hurt about it. R.I.P. Bundles.
That was a special time in hip hop but especially in NY. I remember meeting Stack at vinnies downtown Brooklyn, where he often shopped at. I think he had just finished shooting a dvd. And me and my man went over to speak to him. He was a cool nigga. Had great energy. He had the Porsche sitting outside. He had just got it a couple weeks earlier. I remember him asking me n my mans opinion on some jackets he was buying. I was heavy on the set n byrdgang at the time and was a fan of him. I’ll never forget that day. He was nice, next up, and if u was in the street at the time them bars hit a lil bit harder. Me and everyone I was around at the time was hurt when he left. RIP G’z. A young legend
@@tyriqnobles6959 man, that’s a dope ass story!! Me being born and raised in Detroit, I’ve always been a hip hop head and i look at New York as the Mecca so I’ve always been locked in on NY. I even put my boys up on bundles because i listen to him so much. I was telling them he was from far rockaway queens and they wondered how i got hip to him because NY and Detroit are SO FAR away. That byrdgang mixtape did it for me. I was a fan ever since. I had to go back after that and listen to the clue tapes and the riot squad shit. He had superstar qualities but you could tell he was a cool ass nigga like you said. He had that “it” factor that you don’t see in hip hop that much. I was so stunned when he got killed like naw, not stack man. I’m still hurt about it.
@@tyriqnobles6959 Yeah I remember those days stack was always at Vinnies. They had so much fire in Vinnies you had to cop quick before everything sold out. I remember stacks used to party at my favorite spot at that time this club called stero he was always approachable and down to earth.
@@eibb5136 man, i believe it. Every time my bro would hop in my whip or when i jumped in his whip, it would be playing. I put so many people onto bundles here in Detroit just from that one mixtape.
What I think played a role in was signing to a artist that didn’t have capital. Yeah Jim was popping at the time but let’s be real if cam would have signed him I think things would have been different.
I'm from far rockaway and when he passed it shook the whole town I remember it was raining the next day when I was in high school and we was like even God sad that stack died. You really got it right saying we independent from queens like stack said "From Farrock, America, 20 Minutes from Queens 30 Minutes from Brooklyn, somewhere in between"
Thats what happens when u sign to a artist that still tryna establish thselves as a top artist and dont wanna get outshined. Jim should of jus kept a percent of what they make and let cam take charge of they career he didnt care if his artist were hotter then him
@@beep6641 u feel me .. After ballin was over dipset run was kinda over.. They was still dip so people loved em but if cam an Jim came together to get max and stacks hot and got em outta the hood they would of had a whole other atleast 5 year run on top
The sucky part is that a bunch of people was introduced to Stack after the Jim Jones album features where he shined I remember skipping straight to his part on weather man
Stack Bundles is definitely one of my favorite mc's/lyricist 🙏🏽He had swag, lyrically incredible his voice his flow he was damn near the perfect mc plus he was street but a lot of times street dudes can't leave the streets when they start becoming successful. Jim Jones recognized his talent 👏🏾 but in my opinion Jim just used Stacks to ghostwrite and Jim started speaking dressing and damn near acting like Stacks....Stacks is a hip-hop legend in book and always will be Squuuuuuuuuuuuad Up!!!!! R.i.P. Chinx Drugz also🙏🏽
u kan tell jimmy neutron used stax n took/stole his identity, flow, raps, allat....look at the time he first kame out with certified gangstas he was tryin to do that west coast/cali shit til around the time he was introduced to and or soto speak took stax under his wing is when he started dressing n acting rockstarish, same goes for juelz with the rockstar gimmick
Yo man you should totally do one on Canibus, his story is absolutely wicked and back and forth, plus with the distinction of being blackballed from the industry
#RIP #STACKBUNDLES #CHINX PLEASE do a video on CHINXXXX DRUGZ NEXT!! Pleaseeeee!!! I thank you for this one … god bless his soul 😇 👼 Rest In Paradise!!!
Besides alot of BS music that was around in 06, Jim Jones Byrd Gang movement was hot, Stacks, Max, Jim, and Mel Tha Matrix was running NYC for a moment
Im just gonna say it: New York hasn't and I won't think it will for a long time recover from the deaths of Stack and Chinx. There were artists like Bobby Shmurda and Pop Smoke (who I imagine Stunted Growth will do videos on later) and they were cool, but they didn't have the charisma or lyrical wordplay like Stack and Chinx. No one from NY really has that nowadays anyway.
I can NEVER understand the mentality of not being able to leave your hood... As a buzzing up and coming rapper no less. These are the same folks on Instagram flexing Hundreds of dollars, Always got the latest Foot Locker kicks, Has a decent Luxury used car, Respectable Chain on etc... BUT Fails to buy a $150 bus ticket to another state to ensure he doesn't get Killed... Stay with a Auntie, Cousin, Girlfriend you trust just til they get a Big bag or better.... Not that hard to do for a Rapper, I recently moved from Atlanta to Las Vegas with like $3,000 I saved up working in Nursing homes 😂😂😂😂😂
Muyanzi Reid it's not that he didn't wanna leave his hood cause he could and he did . He own spots out of town and would frequently leave whenever he wanted . But when you really from ya hood , and ya family name holds weight their for generations , and you yourself is loved and you really out their running things . It's hard to just leave and damn near impossible . That's why he was pressing them labels for that million dollar contract just to get his 🐾 💦 Niggaz that ran N.y. Power Structure prolonged his career til he died .
@denny osifo ATL has changed so much from the OutKast era to this era of Trap an drugs. I use to love the ATL during the 90s. It was a different feel. But now, all these out of towners moving here an crime is out of control. Yes ATL is growing an money is in the city but too much going on there now.
Yo I’m almost in tears I miss this guy so much I’m so glad so many people still rep his name and know who he is and how dope he was… def was my favorite underground up and coming that never got the proper shine S s s s squad up sheesh!!!!
Yea nobody mentions they think it's all due to the streets. Jim wasn't gonna give that man 20k for nothing when he barely gave him a stack for performing with him
I was living in New Mexico at the time I 1st heard Weatherman....FFWD && “Make It Rain” as well as “We Fly High” was released I automatically knew his swagg was being borrowed 💯💯💯 Riot In Peace
All time legend that had an impact..but many stole his style n ran with it..Stack bundles had the whole package and was really bout that mess in the streets...Thanks for doing this segment he never stunted his own growth...the jealousy and hate got the best of him...RIP forever Stack Bundles...🙏🏽 🐐
Man I ain't gone front this channel just popped up one day and I've watched about 12 vids so far. I will say, straight up. I'm a true hip hop fan, artist, writer, engineer. I make beats and show ppl how to use professional equipment and software. Some ppl told me I'm not rich because of the stuff I chose to do for free. Idc. Life isn't what I once thought it was. But frfr. For this stack video. I'll subscribe to this channel. Most of what I've seen on this channel is from my era. Nice work. Let's see some more. What about Dead Prez. And JKwon. Wutang members. Stuff like that. I'm sure ppl 30 and older would eat these vids up 👍
I'm in the dealer throwing a tantrum like off my roof/ suede my seats/ 212 my trunk/ stop and go my feet/ Lamborghini my doors nigga I'm that Street R.I.P the gorgeous gangsta
You can't blame it all on Jim. Why was he buying a Porsche while still living in the projects? That's just stupid. Any kind of shine around the broke and hungry is gonna create friction.
In a case like this situation i wish 50 cent had got a chance to sign Stack Bundles before jim because I guarantee he would have had him in a better position. He would have done wonders with stack and made him a superstar. Just imagine if he had that Shady Aftermath G-Unit machine behind him.
Crazy I met his pops in 2013 through a homie,I didn't know who Stacks was until I met his pops & told me how sh*t went down 🧐 Not alot but the look in his eyes & his take on the passing of his son.🙏🏿☝🏿
Stack is definitely in my top 5, he was ahead of he's time swag, bars etc. Jim was jealous 100 they looked similar but bundles just stood out and had the bars to match!! i dont care what anyone says jim had him killed and done the oh so famous THAT WAS MY DUDE SPEECH....Bundles had the hood on smash.......two of the best rap names ever Stack Bundles and Juelz Santana. Just imagine if they worked together both cocky, had swag and the bars to match.
This is one of the saddest stories I ever heard in hip hop. I only heard of Stacks briefly before he died. Then after he died, I heard more and was baffled when I heard he was killed. I also, on another channel, read a fan comment about him, a person who claims to be from his hood. They typed that Stacks stayed in the hood, with jewelry and fly cars to actually INSPIRE people in the hood to "come up" and do better. The person said that he wanted to be a real life example of success in his hood for inspiration, not bragging. The story of one of his own friends killing him AFTER he prevented a robbery not only shows how good of a man he was but also shows how greedy and sick his friends were. Sorry to hear that happened to him. Rest In Peace, Stack Bundles. And yeah Jim was using him, smh. I personally never liked Jim Jones. He seemed to be a hanger-on of Cam in the beginning, because his raps were just never really good. Jim was the weakest to me in the entire Dipset.
@@daniescott3000 They ate for a little but all those beefs 50 had they barely could work wit anybody outside the camp. 50 stop their momentum once he thought he was bigger than interscope started beefing with them and they dropped g unIt. Banks didn't want to deal wit all the politics of the industry, that's why he seemed like he wasn't interested.
@@354allday Banks was lazy and Yayo was lazy, Buck was the only one grinding but them drugs were getting to him. Banks let his second album leak and put out a weaker version, and that's a fact.
