Javier Salazar '06 Dallas, '08 Lakers, '12 OKC and even Warrior bandwagon fan think that game 6 of last year finals was rigged so don't complane about it. Just thinking that the NBA (or only the ref) fixing game like soccer.
this is just disgusting, i still cant understand how shaq and kobe are not embarrassed.. i get it they werent on the scam, but they HAVE to see how fuckin obviously rigged this was. Shaq's always talking shit about the kings aswell, fuckin bullshit. I wonder if they had a clause in their contract not to talk about that kind of stuff or what, but if i was on that lakers team id be really embarrassed and apologise even tho it wasnt probably the players' fault...
If they were not in on it then why Kobe Elbow Mike Bibby in the nose in the closing secs of a 1 point game ? If called fair he would of eliminated them ? Are you saying Kobe in Incompetent or in on the fix knowing the ref would call it for him ?
2002films the ref would call that for the Lakers not for Kobe. Im saying I doubt any of the players were in on this. If anything was rigged it was by the league or the refs. League would want the Lakers in the finals=more money. Refs would want Lakers if they or their friends bet on the Lakers(same as it was with Jordan and the Bulls, doubt Jordan was ever on it tho he is more suspicious due to him actually being addicted to gambling). NBA players dont rig the games, they'd need to have the full team behind them or if the coach or anyone found out they'd be taken off. That Kobe Bibby moment is just basketball, no player is going to say "oh yeah sorry that was a foul, let them get that one and let them eliminate us". My point was why after Shaq retired and now Kobe, neither of them have talked about it, admitted it being handed to them or apologising or whatever.
Kings were balling out that year offensive juggernaut..and Bibby was a star in that run. Wonder where he's at now. Just wish Christie would have got benched in the 4th or told not to shoot those horrible shots.
that game was rigged,(im saying that as a lakers fan) but you cant pin it all on that one game. the kings missed a lot of chances in game 7 and blew a big lead in the 4th game
I was 18 years old then, and this was, and still is, the best series I've ever seen. The robbery that took place in Games 6 and 7 made my blood boil, and I'm not even a Kings fan. It was just fucking sad.
Jamming InDaStreets yeah, you're right. cuz Jason Kidd and the Nets weren't a joke since kobe& shaq's star power wasn't enough to give the Lakers their 14th NBA title
I agree 100%. I watched it live. I wasn't a huge Kings fan but lived in the Bay area at the time and a friend asked me if I wanted to go. We just sat there in disbelief. We drove home after the game and just kept saying over and over, "Did that just happen?".
sadly basketball is a sport of momentum. And a crooked ref COULD easily sway the momentum unjustifiably. But what do you want the Lakers to do? they're there to do a job, and if the governing forces are in their favor, then that's shitty, but not the Lakers' fault, it's the Higher-ups fault, the players are innocent. and so if the Kings were wronged, it's not on the Lakers, it's on whoever orchestrated the officiating malpractice. People can make really bad judgment calls, just analyze pilot errors, or poor police decisions, it's hard to be on the receiving end of injustice, and it's easy to blame when taking a loss.
It's easy, go through whatever process necessary to get a crowd to rewatch the entire game start to finish.. refs are like cops, they fuck up often and unintentionally. we can petition and acknowledge officiating malpractice if there is any to recognize, and do so by rewatching the entire game with hundreds of objective onlookers.
NathTheProGaming At the time of me posting this comment it was Game 2 of the Thunder vs Spurs series when at the end of the game (about the last 10-20 seconds) there was horrible officiating and calls that weren't being made. Webber was calling that game and sounded very upset and when I heard him ranting on it, all I could think of was when it happened to him in 02 lol
i stopped watching ALL sports event just because of finding out this rigging in EVERY sport. i played and watched basketball in my entire life. i also watched many other sports, soccer, football, tennis, baseball etc so sports is my love. randomly i investigated rigging issues on sports a year ago, after digging out many "rigging" issues on sports, not just this game, not just officials, not just players, but involved billionare team owners and the connections between team owners and betting companies, etc, i stopped watching sports for good. i cant believe how much time i wasted in my entire life. it is all for marketing, money etc... i love sports and i will play my whole life, but watching it, HELL NO. i m done.
@@bilgin89 soccer is not that rigged if that was true we would have have seen real madrid vs Barcelona(messi vs ronaldo) in the ucla final this game alone would have gave UEFA more than a billion dollars it would have generate lots of money for both teams but it never happen
The thing that really gets me is that it's as though the Kings realized and understood exactly what was going on. It's all over their body language. There were so many bad calls or missed calls favoring one team that it's unbelievable.
@@metalmacabre9991 that’s true, however I watched that entire series and the Kings knew they were gonna beat the Lakers. The Lakers knew the Kings were gonna take the series, and they couldn’t stop them. The Kings needed one more to move on to the finals. Game 6 changed everything for the Kings, you could see it by the 3rd quarter they had this look of complete and utter shock the entire team. The Kings knew they got robbed that night, anyone watching that game knew they got robbed that night. It was heartbreaking to watch, as a lifelong Kings fan it’s hard being a Kings fan. But definitely the best fans in the nba imo.
You left out the refs not calling Shaq illegally stepping over the free throw line on every free throw that series. Also the refs blew calls in game 4, which would have put the Kings up 3-1. I still can't get over it. Loved it when Doug Christie punched Rick Fox during the preseason the next year.
@@prezlamenprah1164 crazy how with all this rigging stuff, sacramento still shot 204 freethrows this series and had one of the most calls in their favor in a playoff series in NBA history. Lakers shot less freethrows than the Kings and it wasn't close
Wow, okay, I've never noticed that before, but you can see it even here in the little riot. Where Shaquille throws a free throw and just stands a full shoe length over the line.
WOW, big respect to you!!! I had no horse in the race, but LOVED NBA basketball my whole life. TBH, I was a Duncan fan, and usually rooted for underdog. After what I saw in game 4,6, and 7, I lost all faith in NBA! When Bibby hurt Kobe's elbow with his broken nose and blood, I realized the Kings has NO CHANCE!
Ummm... Tim Donaghy admitted during his investigation by the FBI that this game was one that he fixed. Why is this even questionable or labeled a conspiracy theory?
I'm a Laker fan and I cant believe how bad those calls were. Shit I feel like that 3 peat was a lie. ( I was about 7 or 8 when during these years so I did not pay that much attention to basketball back then.)I feel bad that Chris Webber did not get his ring. The refs/NBA were wrong for this. I wish that the NBA was actually fair and the refs would be more accurate with their calls.
not gonna happen my dude. NBA is a business its all about making money, LA were the most marketable team at that time, no way the NBA werent going to cash in on the shaq n kobe show while it was running
I lived in Sacramento at the time, but wasn’t in to basketball, but my coworkers were and were watching the series, so I did too. Even a non-fan like me could tell it was rigged. I remember at one crucial point, the refs blew the whistle on Divac every time he got his hands on the ball.
@Kyle Haughy hahahaha yeah bec. The ref help kyrie in 3's on curry face in last min. Curry 3 attempts 2 missed got locked by a power forward kevin love
The Lakers during that era were getting away with everything, and even getting calls when defenders weren't even within a foot of a Lakers player. I'm glad that Lakers hype/bandwagon period is over so real basketball can be played.
@@willemdafuck High FT doesnt mean Rigged, Watch Mike video on was the 2006 finals if it was rigged and he even said it wasn't rigged, Wade attack the rim and drew contact all series long. The refs made some bad officiating calls on both sides, but no one way was it rigged.
@@rajivunome Bleacher Report: Disgraced former NBA referee Tim Donaghy said he believes the Dallas Mavericks were screwed out of an NBA championship during their 2006 matchup with the Miami Heat. “Basically, Dallas was up in the series,” Donaghy said on the Forgotten Maverick Podcast. “With that being said, the way it was back then, was that the NBA would come in in order to extend a series, to go over plays that they felt should have went in Miami’s favor that didn’t and that went in Dallas’s favor that shouldn’t have and they started to program and training the referees to look for certain things.” Donaghy went on to accuse the NBA of manipulating the series to extend it, which in turn led to Miami's comeback. "I think basically Dallas basically got screwed out of a championship in that situation because the NBA started to manipulate the series to make sure it was extended and Dallas could never recover from it,” Donaghy said. Keep in mind this is the ref who plead guilty to fixing NBA games. Got 15 months in prison.
@@willemdafuck Key Word "He Believes", If you actually watch the Finals and watch Mike and other people vids that broke down the finals, it was clearly wasn't rigged. Did it had bad calls? Yes But If it wasn't rigged, there was many calls the refs made that gave the Mavericks opportunity in the game to come back. Are you going to blame the refs for Dirk Choking at the FT line in game 3 when he missed the free throw which could of gotten the Mavs 3-0?
As a lakers fan this game was definitely rigged, you cannot even lie and say it wasn't. The NBA just like any other sport most of the times rig games for the favorites to generate as much money as possible before the season ends smh. Anything that generates millions of dollars with politics is likely to do things like this.
This should be the shortest “What If?” episode ever. If the Kings hold on to win Game 4, David Stern has three games rigged instead of two. No way in Hades that Stern was going to allow Sacramento to be in the finals over a big market team. Was the 2002 West Finals rigged? Does a bear shit in the woods???
Had the Kings won game 6, I think they beat the Nets in the finals and win their first championship for the city of Sacramento and never fall into the discussion of relocation.
This was the saddest series and game I ever watched, I LOVED those Kings teams with Bibby, stokakovic, Webber, unsung hero’s like BOBBY JACKSON, Doug Christie, Hedo Turkaglu I just love them
The 2002 Sacramento Kings are one of my favorite teams of all time! I wish more teams would play like the 2002 Kings. Instead we have teams just stacking their rosters in order to win a Championship. What ever happened to team work, unselfishness, and fundamentals?.?.?
The 2002 kings were probably too unselfish for their own good... Bibby and webber were taught to hit the open man all year but in that series they clealry had the advantages and confidence while the other guys were struggling especially in game 7..sometimes you just have to go for 30+...put the bench on your back for 1 night and play 46 minutes.
He didn’t ref that game but did say it was definitely rigged. He said the NBA and stern wanted it to go to 7 games and so they did. Tim Donaghy doesn’t have a lot of credibility but I actually believe him on this one
in all honesty, the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals was very controversial between the Celtics and Heat. Besides this Lakers-Kings series, I have never seen a more blatant showing of calls going a teams way. The call against the Celtics in this series were absolutely ridiculous. Especially in OT of game 2 when Rondo drove to the hoop and would've gone up by 4 but got literally smacked in the face by D Wade. ridiculous calls.
When Rondo hit them for 40. Then on the game winning drive they let Wade clear as day slap Rondo straight across the face. Remember it like yesterday. Not to mention I think Pierce fouled out too.
+filthy boi The NBA rigged that series for the Lakers to win then got caught fixing it so they stopped rigging it and the Celtics won 4 straight not to mention blowing them out. Then in 2010 they rigged the Lakers to win. I may sound biased but you can see the ridiculous calls on the Celtics
Remember to follow me on twitch guys! My profile is www.twitch.tv/mikekorzemba. I'm going to live stream throughout the NBA playoffs and we can all talk basketball and hang!
One of the toughest losses I’ve had to watch. Kings backup PG Bobby Jackson was from my hometown of Salisbury, NC. Everyone was so proud (and still am) of Bobby and his accomplishments and thought they were headed to the finals. Even though it was a loss for my team, it was one of the best series I had seen on tv.
A1 Video Gamer I'm a lakers fan so I just enjoy the fact I got 6 in my life time. cuz it's gonna be years before we celebrate again. But kings...if you sign Paul George then it might be something special. give it 2-3 years.
As a Kings fan this was the hardest thing to watch. It was so blatant that someone in the NBA wanted the Lakers to win and they made it happen. I knew a bunch of Laker fans at the time and they were loving it but they definitely knew there was some shady shit going on.
Parth and the Boston Celtics in the 2010 finals versus the Lakers. Refs called enough fouls in Game 7 to put the Celtics in the penalty with 10 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. Ten minutes.
This was just the final 3 minutes. The whole game was terribly refereed all in favor of the Lakers. Look up "The greatest tragedy in sports" on RU-vid, it's a breakdown of the whole game.
I saw this entire series live with my friends, and we all could see that it was rigged - it was so obvious. You can't "rig" a game exactly, but you can give one team more chances than another team by the way you call the game and they DEFINITELY were messing around with that kind of stuff
I was 9 years old at the time and a big fan of the nba and kings it broke my heart when they lost. I didn't watch a single nba game after that until 2012.
I'm a SoCal guy. Big Time Lakers Fan. Wish Lakers could win It every year. But seeing this really Pisses Me Off. Damn Shame how those Kings Players/Fans were SCREWED out of the Title. No Way the Nets beat THESE Kings. SMH
Watch game 5 “Lakers Fan” Game 5 was rigged for the Kings to win to set up game 6 Then look at the stats sheet for the series. Kings shot more FTs than the Lakers in the series (with a prime Shaq)
I love your videos man . But i do have 1 critic. I went on your channel to find more videos like this. But i got lost in nba 2k videos?! I feel like you should have 2 seperate channels so each one has more of an identity . One for gaming One for conspirancy sports videos. Its confusing & hard to find certain videos.
I remember watching that game and was absolutely stunned how horribly that game was called. I remember Bibby sitting on the bench trimming his finger nails and his shoes off before the refs threw the game for the Lakers. The felon ref who specifically pointed this game out as a rigged game was right. Guess what, criminals work in criminal organizations, it doesn't mean he was wrong. Not only does the NBA want the most popular teams in the finals but they also want to extend games for as long as possible. More games means more revenue. Simply math.
bravo2060 that shit was rigged too Draymond Suspension terrible Game 6 officiating, the Fagaliers were basically handed a tainted title victory by the NBA and the Refs at least we got our redemption Warriors 2017 NBA Champions bitch😂😂🤣🤣4-1
+2KEnteral I wouldn't say I'm glad he's gone. you're making it seem like he was a bad commish when you put it that way, when really he is the reason the NBA didn't fold in the 70s. If he hadn't taken over from Larry O"Brien in the early 80s there is a 99.9% the NBA would have folded. But I do admit Stern was a little bit corrupt in his own way.
As a Kings fan, I think the league's main motivation was they just desperately wanted a Game 7, regardless of who eventually won. This WCF was extremely popular and was considered the real Finals. And yes, I do think the fourth quarter was actively rigged rather than abysmally officiated. The Bibby-Kobe thing gets all the focus but I think it's probably a good no-call, as Bibby has him around the waist. The most egregious officiating errors are the Webber offensive foul, the call on Christie when Kobe jumps into him and Webber blocks the ball, the foul call on Pollard against Shaq's hook shot, and several you didn't show, including one sequence where Derrick Fisher clearly scrapes Bibby's arm on a jump shot in the late 3rd, Bibby loses it, Kobe grabs the ball and has a layup on the fast break where Pollard is called for a phantom foul. It's a fucking shame that Bavetta and Delaney got away with this (Bernhardt seems innocent and just had a bad night). The final joke is that Golden 1 Center is on "David J. Stern Walk".
I remember watching this series as a kid. It was the second time I ever saw a true fix. First time you can't forget game 7 of the wcf the year before vs the Blazers, I haven't seen anything like that and still haven't. Lakers were a great team but the Kings and Blazers had them beat both years. The fix was in for the Lakers.
Houston 2019 against Warriors!!!!! Missing all those shots on purpose smh the losing team knows the fix is in. They're all millionaires, what do they care about lying to fans and people spending their hard earned money to support them and see them win it all??? They just care about their own pockets. Sellouts
@@QueensNewYorkguy bro that 2019 was not rigged, that was just the playstyle of the rockets, theirs this quote that fits in with that team "live by the 3 die by the 3" and how could they rig their own players when harden wanted a ring so bad and now will go down as a great player with no ring
