This is one of the few times i disagree with Dante. It's NOT about race it's about economic entitlement As a matter of fact her COMPLETELY unearned privilege pushed out MANY other BLACK TALENTED CHILDREN who did not get the part I'm a Professional Dancer and know HOW MUCH effort goes into preparing for an audition, (years of classes and rehearsals ). Kanye and Kim must have paid a lot for that "product placement" because she didn't show any talent. She can't dance and can't sing. She had zero stage presence. Role should have gone to a child actor who actually takes their craft seriously and has trained and prepared for such a role. I really hope they put North into some acting/dancing/singing classes before she takes the stage again. No one should have to pay to see a performance that should only be found at a local school elementary showcase.

If North did this for her school play or even a small festival I’d be okay with this. But for a huge event meant for performers who literally live to do broadway and theater that role should’ve went to someone more deserving. Let me explain the faces she was making when discussing North West: Colorism is a real thing, and lighter and biracial or even racially ambiguous children get placed on a pedestal. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the European standard beauty placed on women and girls. In this case, there are plenty of people who believe that if one parent is not of African descent, they are not part of our people. FYI, Armenia is in the Caucus mountains. Armenians are not classified as African people period.

I think the problem is she is both a Kardashian and a byproduct of a successful talented rapper. So shes expected to be both a talented prodigy but also representing her mother’s socialite family status. And since she wasn’t showing that talent, there was a lot of let down bc it’s expected that she be like her dad. But it’s looking like she’s riding on the coat tails of her manipulative mom and thats not her fault. But I do think talented kids should’ve got that role and not her. That wasn’t fair. I’m not sure if race played a role. If she wasnt black, she still would’ve got the role based on her mom. If she was full black, people would’ve still expected her to be talented based on her dad. So either way, it still wasnt fair to everybody else who worked hard to get that role, no matter the race.

It was a hot mess.....Her Parents were so wrong to do that to their child in front of the world......Kim was jealous that the world was going crazy anout Bleu Ivy, not knowing that girl went through rigorous training and dedication to dance not just with her mother but those talented dancers andddff it was her Mother's Show...Bleu took no one else deserving spot ..... Many egyptians are mostly arab. I have been to egypt many times and you can find the black egyptians but egypt was taken over by arabs so long ago, most of them look arab. Egypt was always very diverse and not purely black in ancient times either. Anyway, Norths performance was weird on many levels and her costume looks like it doesnt even belongs to that show.

This is not a race issue. This is a two parents with oversized egos telling her child she is great at everything. One of the producers of the Kardashians worked on this show too. That is how she got the job. Kayne refused to let the costume designers dress North because he wanted to get her an outfit. She needs to hear all of the criticism so she will learn she is not perfect. Both of her parents are horrible people who treat others bad. Hopefully this teaches North humility and how she should treat people better than her parents. Also that she has to work for things. Tori only worked on one, maybe two shows of her dad's. He cut her off before he passed. She did Lifetime Movies, every reality show she could get, even one about her and her husband dealing with the aftermath of his affair. She has been sued multiple times for not being able to pay bills and evicted. She had to hussle as an adult. She was given everything as a child and young adult. The play was barely shown. All that was talked about was race, nepotism and victimhood. A child of ANY RACE would have been slammed just as much! I am very disappointed with this episode!

I agree that these Broadway children work really hard to perform. They shouldn’t have allowed North to perform at all without auditioning let alone, not in the correct costume. But MONEY talks as we all know. When you’re wealthy you can do whatever you want.

People crap on her performance...everyone said, yeah she might do other stuff. Shes a kid and nobody can say what talents she might have yet, BUT its not good for her ego and perspective on the world to be told it was fine or people being neutral. She has to learn that such things come with talent and hard work. Her growing up thinking everything is easy and can be bought by mommy and daddy is messed up. She wont value hard work that way.
