Explanation: Scott cannot stop himself from making everything sci-fi. He doesn't care about the fact that FNaF takes place in the 80s while trying to give paranormal stuff scientific explanations.
I really love the fact that “transcends dimensional barriers”, “performs necromancy”, and “built different” are all in the same thought. Now I want to make a character with that as the basis 😂
Now we really need a puppet origin story. Because it always seemed so unnatural. How unbelievably skinny it was, never seeing any endoskeleton or wiring exposed, and it floating around. What truly are you? What makes you so special?
Secretly, the Puppet is haunted by Charlie's from other versions of the timeline, all trying to save both the version they find themself in's Charlie as well as the other missing children. The narrative problem here is that, due to the series being what it is, they can't save anyone.
N cannon to modern FNAF if u take a look at Eclipse in Ruin 😅. The daycare attendant has strings, Eclipse just flies apparently. The second or maybe 3rd playthrough I watched, pointed that out n I was never able to actually spot the string otherwise. So yeah, flying n floating in modern canon. Pretty sure that also happened in Help Wanted 2 but I don't remember.
Plot twist: the puppet is actually just a very skinny magicans that just happens to experience high blood pressure and collapse near charlie that night
Honestly, the idea of the Puppet never having been Charlie is great from a horror aspect when you consider the perspective of the potential other spirit. Imagine it was anyone else (likely a kid considering the series we're talking about but not necessarily). Imagine dying and ending up inside of some Puppet and trying to do what you can for other victims in a situation you wouldn't understand as well without the connection to the people involved only to get trapped and repeatedly shocked because some man believes you're his daughter. But you have no idea who he even is and he gives you a speech that's not actually meant for you as he literally sets you on fire. Honestly, with how insistent Henry was about his daughter existing in the way he wanted (at least in the books) he probably would have been willing to convince himself that any kid who looked similar enough to her actually was her. Kinda like what Eleanor did with that one girl (i think her name was Rochelle or something like that idk).
At this point, there so much events not told I don't know where Shadow Bonnie come from There highly possibility Cassidy was the frist one to died, she died in accident at the Circus before fredbear family dinner She is likely the real daughter of William Afton, and Elizabeth was created to replace her, William is trying to rebuild his daughter since the started Cassidy is positive ghost she was there for everyone, the one after william without a doubt is the crying child All games gameplay are made in based in what the vengeful spirit suffer
@@Ozeglion Elizabeth didn't go in fnaf 6 to help William, but to cut him into pieces, she is one saying to William, "the one you shouldn't have killed" , she is angry because William killed someone she cared During dialogue between OMC and vengeful spirit you can listen William scream for help in the background, he asked for henry and mike help, but not Elizabeth help, even she go there save him, why? Its because the one tormenting William is the vengeful spirit together with Elizabeth Glitchtrap is a anomaly trying to help William afton escape The endo mimic and vanny they want to eliminated glitchtrap Because this whole thing its a game and glitchtrap is breaking He was able to escape thanks Jeremy help in hw2 Cassie whole route in painted yellow signs point the route to the mimic and draw by Vanny for Cassie
@@AngelTheory-M …That answers nothing You aren’t even explaining anything, you’re just making these claims without even saying how you came to these conclusions in the first place Also, you seem to be forgetting that Elizabeth quite literally said to William that she’d ”make him proud” at the end of Pizza Sim
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Also, the ideas that there's either someone also possessing the Puppet, there's two Puppet, the Puppet time travels somehow, or Charlie never possessed the Puppet at all are ABSOLUTELY INSANE yet perfectly fit the kind of thing FNAF does on a daily basis. The big reason why I love and hate this franchise so much.
"Especially if he's a jester" The 3D security puppet you buy for the simulator part of Fnaf 6 does have some jester hat-like protrusions coming from it's head, and doesn't resemble either pixel depiction of the puppet. Granted, that could be a redesign of the puppet like the Rockstars are redesigns of original Freddy and Friends. Are Sun and Moon really the spiritual successor of the puppet? The puppet has always been associated with children. Whether guarding them or handing out prizes in the prize corner. Now it's been upgraded from child security to a full-on Daycare Attendant (not that it's doing it's job any better, given he kicks Gregory out and throws him to the wolves (though, also granted that was after Gregory narrowly escaped the leopard). Maybe Sun and Moon aren't as out of left field as we thought.
I think the general consensus for theories where the puppet is the last one possessed is just that the other kids were wandering spirits and Charlie bound them to the animatronics (there’s a whole thing here connected to that tales story about how ghosts can’t move on until their bodies are found iirc)
I mean, apparently at this point in the series Afton has his super advanced murder clown robots to suck out soul juice, and canonically Bonnie doesn’t abide by the laws of reality, so a flying puppet doesn't sound that farfetched in a world that created Faz-Goo and mimics
Another possibility for the "already haunted" part could be that it could still be Charlie, right after dying. We assume that Charlie dies right when the Puppet gets next to her, but maybe the timeline of events could be this: - Charlie is locked outside, the Puppet is not possessed yet, just doing what it's programmed to do - Afton kills Charlie in that dumpster thingy, her spirit moving over to the Puppet - The Puppet is now possessed, and move towards Charlie's corpse (why? I dunno, she just died, cut her some slack) - And finally the Puppet slumps over on Charlie's already dead body. Doesn't really explain the floating part outside tho, but hey, haunted robots and stuff
This is an actually good explanation for that while keeping the same story, I could totally see Scott saying smth like this to tie the loose ends Imagine Charlie's spirit wandering next to her body thinking what do I do what do I do. At the end she's just a scared child, her instinct is to find someone to help. She'd go inside the Fredbear's looking for someone to help her understand or do something. But she's a ghost, nobody can see her. Which breaks her a lot At the same time the Puppet by programming is trying to break free sensing the green bracelet is out of its limits. Charlie sees this and decides to just go to it (And personally this would fit really well her need of support, because as we see the puppet is made to care especially about her, it could probably be an animatronic Charlie's really close to, if it's not entirely made for her). At this point she just wants to get noticed. I mean you just got killed outside a crowded place and nobody even noticed, that's just emotionally breaking. She goes out with the power of the strong emotions she's feeling at the moment (And this explains the floating, moving without strings and all). She moves to her body while feeling extreme sadness, and when I see the puppet crawling near the end I just picture the image of a child crying in complete despair, having lost everything. The animatronic itself loses movility because of the rain and stays there since Charlie's "adrenaline" rush ended and she stays there in the ground crying until somebody finds her body later that day or even the next And honestly is so heartbreaking. She is ny favorite character and now I have imagined all of this with sm details I'll just take it as what happened
Classic FNAF, picking apart the smallest details and spiriling it into the massive implications, while also destroying existing beliefs for no apparent purpose! Count the toes! Where’s the strings? Etc. On the two spirits idea, imagine if sammy is canon to the games and they both died and were put in the puppet. Wild. Also, on the death arrangement thing, you might like looking into dual process theory, it’s an interesting video.
this title is insane but I've actually wondered this before a while back but I didn't really have a reason to believe it so I stopped thinking about it
I remember someone pointed out that Lefty might have eaten the wrong Puppet. Could be a design oversight (kinda like how Mangle is missing their Endo teeth in UCN) but it could be a neat idea to explore. Might even tie into why the Puppet masks no longer has any tear streaks on the Tangle (unless we're supposed to believe that the tear marks vanish once Charlotte was set free). On a different note, I now wonder how Jim Henson is gonna show the Puppet moving in FNAF 2 since it's too skinny for a suit performer. Whether they show them using a string/track mechanism or walking like in Help Wanted, I'll be interested either way
Maybe the puppet didn't look like how it was in the 1980s. Maybe it was like a toy plane made to look like the puppet. I am probably reaching. RC airplanes were a thing in the 1980s.
6:50 Or the Puppet was the first to actually haunt the animatronics, the others were simply dead til Charlie showed up and remnanted them. That also fits the Candy Cadet thing, Charlie could have focused her power on one kid and fully brought them back to life Eleanor style, but instead she split it amongst the 5 and they haunted the animatronics
there has been a trend of technology in freddy's becoming more rudimentary with time (up until pizza sim), starting off in the 80's if not sooner with springlocks, the funtimes and potentially flying pupets, to then basic endos with facial recognition linked to police databases, to just basic endos with basic suits, and in the end battery powered animatronics
Yes yes yes yes yes yes this has been my head Cannon ever since the retcon got revealed in FNAF 6. Sammy was the first soul in the puppet and then he went and got his sister so either there's two souls in one animatronic or there's a second puppet somewhere that Sammy put his sister soul into. I'm glad I'm finally not alone. When you are controlling the puppet and the minigame, the fact that you're controlling him implies that he's already sentient, which means he's possessed.
I was gonna say something similar, and Maybe Puppet is so powerful because of having 2 spirits [like good old Fredbear]. Following this rabbit hole, some claim Shadow Freddy is CC manifesting the Springlock Fredbear Suit [or it is his agony] and Golden Freddy is Cassidy in charge [like a Vegeto/Gogeta thing, I have also heard this used to explain purple hat v black hat for Fredbear]. Taken together, Nightmarrionne, Green/FNaF 6 Puppet and blue FNaF 2/3 Puppet could be Agony, Charlie dominant and Sammy dominant.
It's so funny to think about the fact that the security for a popular restaurant in 1983 was just a flying puppet that was advanced enough to go outside in the rain but not strong enough to pull up some boxes or make any alert or sound for help xd
i love you theories! and honestly this one could fix the timeline issue of Charlie being the last to die, maybe the puppet got possessed by someone who died at Fall Fest, and that could maybe be the reason behind "a wound first enflicted on me, and one that i let bleed out" possibly Henry's wife, which is why the puppet went to protect his daughter in the alley, and why she helped the other MCI victims, she's a mother trying to protect children, maybe William killed her when she discovered something at Fall Fest.
@Imtrying_girl imagine if a Fall Fest game comes out. We finally meet Henry and Williams wives and it gives us so much lore and background on these characters, like maybe William was already tampering with animatronics for some nefarious reason, his wife was blind to it but unknowing to her she was helping him by running the festival, and then Henry's wife caught William up to no good maybe trying to ruin Henry's career, but he tries to stop her from telling people and then he kills her, a fire starts and all the evidence is lost
@@thescorpion1012 Yesss for sure, I think the fire killed Henry’s wife and that’s the wound first inflicted on him. And perhaps they put her in the puppet?
How is the Puppet the last, but also the one to gift "life" to the MCI children? I might have an answer to that but there's not a lot of evidence, just some sort of outside the box thinking What I think is misrepresented the most in this debate is that death = immediate possession. We've seen in some Fazbear Fright stories (can't remember which one exactly) that ghosts can linger around as long as their bodies aren't found. What I'm thinking is that maybe Susie was the first victim indeed, but she and the other MCI kids just remained around as ghosts until Charlotte died, at which point she possessed the Puppet first, and then brought the other kids to the animatronics? Idrk to be honest it's also 2am thinking here
Since I first saw it, The Puppet has always been one of the most fascinating characters in the game to me, and I really hope to see more of them (Him? Her? I've lost track lol) in future installations of this beloved series especially since a large piece of the story seems to fall upon its shoulders!
I do think that there are two puppets, because I think in Security Breach you specifically buy "Security puppet" which is A: differently named then actual puppet. And B: Makes possible sense because the two have different designs.
I mean it does seem very emotional... crawling in the rain to be with a dying child. Does not seem that is base programming so probably already haunted yes hehe
Something I just noticed in the 8-bit mini games. Prier to the child's death, the puppet had rosie cheeks. After their death, the puppet had crying eyes. Does the crying eyes of the puppet means it's possessed?
Hey yall! Ik this has NOTHING to do with the vidio, but can you guys help me? A few days ago I decided to play fnaf 1 again, and so, I did. But there was an issue, I died to foxy, ON NIGHT ONE. As far as I'm concerned, he comes on night 2 or 3, and then before I died, the "ITS ME" text popped up, but no golden freddy. But the rest was normal. Was my game bugged or am I just dumb? (Nah, this comment got pinned, and got 45 likes? Thank you sm! Also thanks for the responses too❤!)
Foxy NORMALLY doesn't show up on night one UNLESS you NEVER use the camera. There is a hidden timer and if you never use the camera for the night, he bypasses all requirements and attacks.
@@maahentertainment6307 You just got incredibly unlucky. Foxy has a VERY low chance to move later on in night 1, as for the "it's me" it isn't tied to Golden Freddy, that is just something that has a random chance to happen for the spooks. I'm almost certain I've gotten the it's me during the phone call.
@@simplyhoodie I'd like to add to this. The "it's me" text and flashing images of Freddy and Bonnie are surprisingly frequent for me, happens up to 5 times each playthrough sometimes multiple times at night. But that's just a small aside, I'd like to mention that Foxy is "disabled" technically up until like 3- or 4 am, I don't really remember which, where his AI value gets increased by 2 or something, meaning that foxy, if the cameras are used sparingly CAN move on night 1, and that happens almost every time I play cause I rarely ever use the camera on night 1. If you don't use the cameras at all on night one Foxy would usually kill you during the ladder half of 4am or early 5am, or not at all if you're really lucky, but as long as the cameras are used sparingly he shouldn't move more than maybe 1 stage. There are many many videos on the AI of fnaf 1 and it's really interesting, so if anyone reads this absolute paragraph of a reply and they haven't checked out the world of "technical fnaf" I'd highly recommend it :D
I get the impression Scott knew the puppet was going to play a big role in the core narrative he just didn’t know how. I actually really liked the big twist in fnaf 6 I didn’t see it coming and it was tragic.
The puppet is great! I totally understand why you love him, I love him now. I never had a definitive favorite of the fnaf catalog of characters but I know now that he is my favorite. I hope to see him return someday soon.
Imagine if in the minigame the puppet had obvious strings and when he gets outside, you have to rip yourself off the strings (by pressing the right and left buttons repeatedly) to flop down to get to charlie in the alley. Or have it where he gets on all fours before slowly having to pull itself with his arms. Helps feed into the whole sad rogue ai thing
The fact that the Puppet can somehow FLY has bothered me for a while and I'm happy to see I'm not the only one that's being haunted by this detail. Also if Henry really did just delude himself into believing it was Charlie and the twist is executed well then Henry might just go from being my least favorite character to one of my favorites.
I had an AU where Charlie's mom was an employee that unfortunately suffered a fatal springlock accident that led to her possibly haunting the animatronic that was(possibly) her daughter's favorite, i.e. the puppet in this scenario. Is it accurate? Nah, idk anything about the lore anymore 🙃 But at least it makes a little more sense to me😅
"Sometimes a story is just a story. You try to read into every little thing and find meaning in everything anyone says, you’ll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once - wasn’t pretty."
On the "Puppet died last" part; I like Dual Processes' idea that the missing kids didn't fully possess the suits until after Charlie died. She died next to the metal she possessed so once she woke up she would have seen her dead body and understand what's happening. After finding the other spirits, she chooses to stay and help them
You're one of my favourite channels! So entertaining, "varied" (as far as FNAF goes lol) and it just scratches that theorist itch in my head. Thank you so much for making content!!!!!
Wow, those are some pretty cool observations! Now I've got a bunch of "what ifs" in my head. Also, I liked when you went off-script. Had me chuckling for a bit!
I genuinely have an obsession with your videos I love them so much, I always somehow check RU-vid right after you post it’s like I’ve developed a 6th sense
Hello how was your day nice i agree wasn’t expecting this but happy surprise getting to watch one of your videos today made my day and sorry for the 2 comments yesterday it glitched hope you have a good day and favorite stich punk is 5 also just saw the post curse you notifications
Omg you have no idea how much i've been thinking about this, specifically how is the puppet hovering, and how high can it go, and did it get more air mobility after Charlie possessed it. Can it fly? Will it fly? It's the true mystery of FNAF. Also congrats on being verified, i didn't even notice that.
Phone Guy said it 'could go anywhere' in FNAF 2, and he doesn't know about haunted animatronics until the FNAF 1 era. 1:58 We really don't know that given that the sprite in the mini-game is brown. It's possible it could be, or maybe it's Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria. Maybe it's even like a proto-Freddy location from the early 80s. FreddyBear's Family Pizzeria or something.
This was an insanely good video. I actually wish Mat would react to this. It's excellent food for thought and I love theorists going back to old "established" lore and looking over it with a new perspective.
are you more excited or worried at how their gonna handle the puppet in the sequel? or is it a mix of both, personally from the lack of puppet love I'm kinda worried lol 😬
You open up with , " my baby" I would say something but ( let me go evil mastermind here for a second.) ( twirling my exaggerated mustache) I read your fanfiction so I know how you feel about the puppet. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhaha haha haha ha ha....... Or at least have a good idea of how you feel about Mari.
I like to imagine that the Crying Child either is, or is sharing the puppet with Charlie. I liked the Crying Child is the Puppet and I never considered Charlie and the books to be all that canon, so I like to think it was the Crying Child going out to save Charlie so he didn’t have to see another victim die from negligence.
Oh boy. I'm so thankful i didn't watch this before i went to sleep last night (like I usually do). This video requires me not being tired in order to process everything.
Thank you for playing a clip of the pizza sim ending speech i feel like that was fanservice specifically for me lol Also the "two of every character" phenomenon is not something i really noticed until you pointed it out, but yeah that is really weird. I suppose its one of the narrative formats scott really likes, having the "evil" or "reversed" counterpart of a character literally be the same character, its an interesting trope but i do think looking back that it is kind of overused. Golden Freddy and Evil Golden Freddy(?), William and Springtrap, Michael and purple Michael, even baby and scrap baby kinda. Its like his way of showing that an event has changed the way a character thinks, by also changing how they look. Like somehow the way a character feels about things dictates how things and themselves appear. I know it probably sounds like im just writing an in universe explanation for redesigns, but frequently we're shown that redesigns come with personality changes too, so maybe its just the other way around? Changes in personality result in changes in appearance? We know the act of posession can change the way things look in universe, babys eyes change colors with the possesion, id imagine michaels do too (otherwise why would showing off his glowing strangely colored eyes in that ending be noteworthy) with ennards more literal possession, and if security puppet and the marrionette are intended to be the same animatronic, then the puppet gains its tears from possesion. Maybe more drastic changes can come from this too, idk. We see as williams physical state decays with springtrap and scraptrap, so too does his personality, becoming more open about his intentions, and reveling in the thought of someone being scared of him, perhaps his appearance in pizza sim is his appearance changing to fit his idea of himself, a terrifying monster made for killing, with sharp teeth and a giant bone weapon for his arm (maybe the big head is because he thinks hes so smart lol), point is, well idk what the point is actually, but this could explain alot of inconsistencies ig. Maybe nightmarrione is the marrionette but in its emo revenge arc idk lol
This is going to be my first comment ever but its been on my mind for...ever since i saw this the first time (a few days after it was uploaded) but anyways explanation aside; The puppet was meant to give gifts to the kids (well that's what I believe since they are stationed at the prize corner) and during the give life mini game, the puppet put masks on the kids (masks are also given as prizes/gifts i'd assume.. Easy way to make more money or something)... That doesn't mean it's haunted, it means it's following programming.. There might be something that imply it was possessed before that but i don't know, feel free to correct me, I'm just trying to give a logical answer to that section of the video... but the floating puppet thing I cannot explain, most likely an oversight in my opinion.- btw if you do read this thanks for your time, and amazing video.
First thing, that's Freddy's. Cakebear isn't Fredbear, it's Freddy. We know that because the model is always referred to as Freddy and the murders, of which we now know for certain Charlie was the last of, was at a Freddy's, seeing as we know it happened in 1985, with Fredbears closing in 1983 the same year that Freddy's opened. That's Freddy. This is Freddy's. Second, there is an unspoken aspect to the lore that I have been shouting into the void since people started misquoting the books to justify nonsensical theories. In other words, since the books came out. Agony isn't just red flavored remnant. Remnant isn't just soul juice. Agony does not require a soul, or death, or anything. Agony is exactly what it sounds like. It's pain, not human pain, but the pain that an object feels. It's provenance. It's trauma. Pain is an animating force, witnessing something traumatic offers some maligned form of life to the objects that witness it. It's why Spring Bonnie was so intent on killing even before William was sealed inside it. It's why the Funtimes, without being infused with remnant, are so volatile and angry. It's why in that very same minigame Freddy slows to a stop as he watches Charlie die. It's why the puppet continues to drag itself towards her body even though her soul hasn't entered it. There are two steps to hauntings, two very different forms and two very different sides to the animatronics. In one part it is the soul that continues to animate the body. In the other part it is the body itself who, buy some traumatic mechanism, has seen too much, and become aware.
About the whole "Freddy's in the 90s was a major downgrade," it's worth pointing out that Bonnie is floating on the "CELEBRATE!" poster, and that he "does not conform to the laws of time, space or physics."
I have a theory: Fnaf takes place in the same universe as tf2. Think about it, in both universes robots with ai exist even back in the 60s, ghost exist, magic exist, souls exist, hell and heaven exist, there is a way to collect souls, both take place in america and, the most important, scout is the victim of the bite of 87 as god told him. Perfect and we can even say if you want that it is merasmus that is maintaining the souls on earth for his own amusement.
Love the puppet cope! And I think it's probably an oversight, but move over goldenduo, it's twinpuppet time! Sammy and charlie puppet? That would be crazy- the mini game security puppet doesn't exactly have stripes does it ;}
My GAAAAAAME theory: What if The Bite of 83 actually happened before Charlie's death, and after Chris(Yeah, I call CC as Chris, cuz this name is cool and very fits to him+CC, Crying Child, Bite Victim & etc are sound stupid and lame, PROBLEMO?😠) died, he actually at first possessed the Puppet himself. He saw how his dad(possibly going crazy due to losing his son. Yeah, I'M STILL wanna believe that Will isn't so jerk, who killed his friend's daughter......just for some stupid remnant) tried to kill Charlie, so he decided to save her, but it was to late. After that, he left the body due to it was broken, and Charlie just possessed instead. Thats how they met each other in afterlife, and become frendz😊
