Enjoyed your video of the Isle of Skye. It was great to see the Isle in good weather as well as in poorer weather. One can tell that you enjoyed the Isle even though it was cold and rainy. The ultimate seal of approval!
Im so sorry you guys ran into so much rain!! I was visiting around the same time as well and somehow was blessed with some unbelievable views! I haven't stayed in any other towns in Skye other than Carbost, but thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Best to take and RV/Caravan up when the tourist season is quiet, as I understand traffic can be heavy otherwise, and "ideal" overnight parking may be difficult to find when it's busy. 💖
We got one day of sunshine so we were definitely happy with that! But it's really all based on your luck really. We would have loved to do a camper trip but unfortunately all the campsites were closed for the season! I can imagine it would be tough to drive those though when it's peak season and busy.
I visited in September of 2022, and the entire time it was sunny and great weather. We weren't able to get to skye then, but now we are visting this upcoming February 2024. Really nervous about the weather, but it kind of adds a level of excitement
Hope you enjoy your time up there! I'm sure it stays just as beautiful, no matter the season! Definitely bring layers if you plan on doing any hikes, that wind can be brutal !
