always remember that live it's always different than on videos. even simple sounds that don't sound anything special in videos can hit hard live and make the crowd move

Man this is an ancient battle, back then it was all about certain sounds and combos that popped I could hear in dlows first beat his timing was slipping a little and his pitching was off. Alex was a monster back then

Alexinho style was meta back then, also the battle took place in France So there is a Little bios going on. Different time when what dlow does wasnt as much appreciated and Alexinho was already a goat

While I wouldn't say this (or any other beatbox battle) is rigged. There was ( and sometimes still is) a problem with judge selection. 3 of the 5 judges (at least) are French as is Alexinho, but they aren't just from the same country, they are really good friends with Alex too. People often say it's easy to not be biased but they often forget subconcious bias is a thing. It's one reason that I personally think Judges for the beatbox events should be chosen *after* hte contestants are finalised, so they can choose more neutral judges for the selection of participants. Although, I do seem to be a minority in that aspect. haha

Completely agree, I think there is a severe lack of world class judges though. Good beatboxer does not equal good judge sometimes as we saw with pacmax at florida.

definitly not rigged, alexinho was just way cleaner in this battle (also as you said alexinho knows him cause they are both french but i dont think that influenced their decision). Also Cliff, are all of these videos reuploads?? I swear I watched all the videos that came up lately allready

I'm sick of people who have 0 beatbox experience try to call battles "rigged". You can have an opinion but dont try to call rigging if you dont even have any beatbox experience.
