I don’t know if you know this already, but you can actually abuse the cameras in the office section. Just let Bonnie break two of the cameras, because Foxy will never go into broken cameras.
@@Theboredgod unfortunately, either a. theres a high probability of foxy appearing when your 3rd camera is destroyed, or b. foxy can attack again once all camera's are broken... basing this off actual experience
@@chitorunya for me this never happened, I think nickson updated the game so that ppl don't abuse it lol but when the game first released I found out and broke all 3 of em and passed the night ez
"Withered Chica is one of the worst FNaF designs" L opinion. The dead stare which just pierces right through you, the fact that she can't move her arms making her feel much more statue-like, the giant mouth with 4 rows of teeth, she's the one I'd be running from the fastest if I saw her.
I've never really thought much of Chica. That's the one I always think about last. This made me think though and I would definitely be the most terrified of withered Chica
That one fan made video of her is legit scary which is something that can't be said about a lot of this series. she's 100% one of the best designs in the series
I think a thing that goes over a lot of peoples head's is the fact that the thing causing the animatronics to appear is also bending the space time continuum the whole time. The biggest indicator of the anomaly is in the cutscene before the office. You can see the stair banisters to tell you that you are upstairs, but when you actually get to the office, you're suddenly on the ground floor despite never going down in the chase. When Scott first hears Nick's scream and opens the door, it's supposed to lead to Nick's bedroom, but now it doesn't. And when Scott arrives in his office, he's listening to pre recorded messages of himself that he never made. In it he mentions that he has been stuck looping through the same night for possibly weeks.(If you die to Freddy in the office he restarts the loop.) The clock in the attic is completely scrambled basically confirming that time is BROKEN. Also, I know you said it was vague but I wanted to clarify something. The basement is not Scott's memory after getting knocked out, it's Michaels before meeting the family. In the Bedroom cutscene, you can see Michael is just lying on the floor outside the basement door. Those messages are from the anomaly to Michael in instructing him as the catalyst to it's plan. Also the endos down there(Called the Fallen) are versions of Freddy's band that the anomaly tried and failed to give life to. The eyeless one is Freddy, The faceless one is Bonnie, The one with a giant mouth is Chica, and the one eyed sprinting one is Foxy.
The story is that the animatronics and Mike are dopplegangers that haunts this woods and the whole point is to to pull Ennard and take the Scotts and his family's bodies. But Mike wants it to himself only, so he helps family members survive their encounters. In the basement we play as Mike. The fellow creatures want to stop him, but being Scotts creations they have flaw of having a way out for their victims. At the end he doesn't explain the rules because seeing Creation he assums that there is nothing for him to do, but when Scott shows his gamer skills he proceeds with his original plan and using Scotts fear for his family he takes over his body. And he is burned because there was a theory that Mike burned himself in FNaF 3 location in game.
Ooo I didn’t realize that was what was going on, I never understood why “micheal” was trying to help Scott but that actually makes things make a lot more sense
I believe The Ignited didn't want the family's bodies, but only physical forms in the form of the animatronics and killed Scott because that was the agreement they made with Michael when he gave them their physical forms. But then years later, after surviving the fire, they call Nick back to them to take his body, as their body is unstable, which they succeed in.
So fun fact: the creator of Joy of Creation actually joined a creative team to help develop a completely different game. A pac man style horror called "Dark Deception". It's almost done as they're working on the final chapter, but you can clearly see his skills in most monster designs than anything else. Currently he's trying to finish one last Joy of Creation fangame before he leaves Fnaf forever and focus on Dark Deception, so I suggest you use this game to segway into covering Dark Deception. Oh, and maybe cover "It Steals" too? Its not made by the same creator but it's the same kind of game as a Pac-man style horror game and its REALLY GOOD.
wrong, he is main programmer of the team, he even got his own character on dark deception monster and mortal alongside nikson (director of the game) and pen livings (co founder and artist director) @@ladylunaginaofgames40
I still have the firmest belief that the basement level in this game is quite possibly the scariest level out of any FNAF content possible. Not saying that the other levels aren't terror-inducing, but this one just gets everything right. The dark and eerie atmsophere, the pressure being put onto you, and the designs of the endo animatronics are genuinely freaky and unnerving. Plus, adapting the "Weeping Angels" gimmick into a Free-Roam FNAF game is nothing short of brilliance.
One curious bit of trivia on the Basement level. Despite assuming you'd be playing as Scott based on the intro cutscene, we actually play as Michael. The proof here is if you die in the last major section, with the death tip being, "Open the way, Michael". Presumably, the Basement section shows Michael performing a ritual of sorts to assemble Creation for the final night.
Honestly, nah it wasnt overhyped, every bit of the game was perfection, the plot twist that "creation" is an actual antagonist hence "the joy of creation" a sadistic joy, it lived it well and it died out like any other game
Very unrelated, but your experience with this game is almost the exact same for me in Metal Gear Rising. Down to feeling a bit saddened when realizing that the game or current part of the game was coming to an end. As well as not knowing if you'd ever find another game like it. I guess we just got those kinds of games in all of us
@@insomniacloserxo Oddly enough, that feeling came about when I was fighting Jetstream Sam. The music, the clashing of swords, the various challenging but very satisfying to parry moves, it was glorious. When I saw his health was nearly depleted, that melancholic feeling emerged. From action games to horror ones, it is a sad yet also memorable experience either way. Also, they better port MGR in modern platforms.
I absolutely love this game, but the story, in my opinion, feels too meta to be within a Fnaf fan game. It would've been better if we were playing as Henry rather than Scott because since he co-created the animatronics with William and that they're attacking him because they know their killer. But, that's just my opinion.
It’s not really meant to be an in universe thing though. The monsters aren’t actually the robots but manifestations of a fear monster instead. It’s more like a psychological horror game that happens to have the protagonist be scott rather than the usual “quirky at night” style games.
@@kylele23yeah. They are made as manifestations from some demonic like thing. You do play as Scott so makes sense for the name "the joy of creations" because he made them and it is manifested into reality.
@@insomniacloserxo yeah, I intentionally let the sanity drop in the bedroom and the room turned bright White eventually and black ooze started to fall then ignited Golden freddy (?) approached me and I was teleported to a big bed in the woods, I don't remember what after because I played a while ago but yeah
32:27 I agree it’s the weakest part but it’s personally my favourite part. I love the music in the background and creation burning everything. It feels like an intense finale.
It's a shame Scott himself never adopted a different engine and 3D roaming. I really feel like some of his games would have really benefited by having an area you could actually explore.
You might also be wondering what happened to Nick. Y'know..the whole reason we can play. The memories we play in are actually Nick's memories and how he remembers the events that happened. And in each memory there's secret game overs. Having the words "COME BACK." In them. In the last memory, if you let golden freddy kill you by looking at him for too long, you'll get the last secret game over: It shows a phone on the ground, a pool of blood surrounding it. And if you pay attention to who's currently ringing the phone, you'll realize this is actually Nick's phone and we're in the present. When he bought his old family house back. The words "COME BACK." In the last game overs were directed to Nick himself. The demons calling him to come back. And in the final secret game over. There's no "COME BACK." But rather. Just some dots. Because he did just that. He came back. And died, just like his dad.
There is actually a remaster being made in Unreal Engine 5. There is just the first memory so far as a demo and it is extremely terrifying and looks way better. I don't know if there will be any differences in the story or not though.
To me, the idea of a paranormal beast taking the form of your own creations is a great idea. I'd say to me, the creatures are akin to either a Tulpa, Skinwalker, or Fleshgait type monster that has been stalking the woods around the estate and desire to live amongst humans. So, seeing a creative type, five of them take the form of these characters to psychologically torture and breakdown the family to kill and take over their lives, just like how the Funtimes did in the series, perhaps the beast themselves taking the idea from Scott himself. Mike's monster wanted to be the sole human takeover and sabotaged the other beast to have his pick of Scott himself. The others combine together to form Creation and while Scott is fighting against it in the end, Mike swooped in at the end to take his body. The end has two ways of thinking, either he drags the others inside the fire to get rid of the others and burn the body so the other beast can't escape. The other idea is mainly the family realizing their father and husband isn't the real him and the panic setting in. It's interesting to think that the ignited designs are actually a reflection of the future, since everything went up in flames.
Great video man! I did make a video of my own about this game a couple weeks ago and I did some research on the story. Basically, Michael and the ignited animatronics are doppelgangers who wanted to live in the real world and all the memory's took place in one night due to the night being looped until you are able to flash ignited golden freddy a certain amount of times. The worst part is that Michael ended up winning at the end. That is pretty much the story of this game and this is a really good video! Great job man!
There's secret pages on each memory which will help you to get the story. It's both a metaphor of being consumed by your work (Scott got consumed with FNAF and there's also irony saying that Freddy is popular to kids like Santa bc mostly FNAF audience are small kids or school age people, not adult who love something more akin to Dead Space or Silent Hill) and actual horror story about cursed forest where ghosts reside who can take your face and use your fears against you. Anyway Nikson will do a remeke of all of his TJOC games which i hope you'll cover
My absolute favourite part of the game is the menu. Yeah, seriously. I am a HUGE sucker for the dynamic music. The fact the same melody is repeated but with different instruments for each level is just….magnifique
From what I understand the basement section of this game was a suggestion from Phisnom while Nick was building the game. Phisnom streamed this game for one of his FNAF weeks and talked about the parts he helped in, and it seemed like he influenced the basement the most in terms of mechanics. Absolutely all credit to the dev and his team, of course, for pulling off such a unique experience as a complete piece; but with FNAF Plus still in the works, I think Phil's influence in the basement is a good taste as to what he can do for games creatively. I'm looking forward to seeing the future endeavors of these devs from the fanverse. I think they're packed with talent and will really explode if these games go well.
The wifi thing is probably because of the in-game leaderboards. It tries to check the database but since Unreal engine has probably been updated a lot of times, it probably broke the original code nikson made for it. Believe it or not, online compatibility is serious work. As for the story ending, according to the newspaper scott's dead body does end up getting found by the police. I think Michael swapped bodies with scott's daughter/wife which is basically killing them in the end. And tl;dr the main premise was Michael and the ghost animatronics wanting to get out of scott's games and torture their creator. (Like demons) I've played Tj;OC myself, gave up on the couch minigame. Not very fun to die 10 times all because bonnie decided to go in at the worst moment, i just decided to drop it because i didn't feel like bleeding my ears. (You have to listen to Bonnie's audio cue which mean max volume woohoo) (Btw you shouldn't have cut the basement poem, it's my most favourite part of the game) *HE REMAINS!!!* I find it funny that a majority of the community just uhhhhhhh sorta agreed that the best fnaf game involved *scott himself and his family getting tortured and killed* uhh yeah @_@#..... Scott probably just chuckled it off The Ori art is uhhhh it's very... _ecapsulating_ though I'll just say uhh just *please* don't lean heavily into the animal aesthetic. "Uh yeah" was an amazing RU-vidr..... Until he became a furry x.x
I personally found the attic to be quite brilliant in terms of gameplay. Its an interesting balance you need to maintain while managing the flash/zap thing. You need to use it on creation to keep it away, but you also need to use it on golden freddy so you can actually complete the night (i believe you need to flash golden freddy 12 times to win). The catch being that the recharge on the flash beacon is too long to comfortably keep creaton at bay while also getting golden freddy enough times to win
I've only recently understood the story for this game, and it's surprisingly simple. Short story long: There are paranormal entities being sighted in the woods, "monsters," "demons," as Scott calls them. From the newspaper clippings, we learn that these demons can take the form of their victim, an "evil dopplganger" as I believe the same clipping states. However, it seems that they can take _any_ form, and from what they say in the basement on the monitors, they feed from the joy of creation. Mike is one of these entities, but he is very different from the animatronics. The igniteds use him to get to Scott, saying that he exists to let them out (we play as Micheal during the basement). The igniteds need Mike to bring Scott to them, as they can't seem to do so themselves. In the attic, Mike says that he wants "to feel like this forever," he wants to be human, "and to do that... I need you to die." There seems to be some sort of deal between Mike and the igniteds, and once he's upheld his end of things he gets to replace Scott and be human forever. Now, the ending itself... to me it's implying that Micheal killed Scott's family, but we know that can't be possible because of the intro cutscene and Nick's dialogue between nights. However, another newspaper clip shows the headline "Man found dead in own home," and below that we read "A man has been found dead in _new renovated home._" No mention of a fire, no house burning down, but a house that was recently renovated and repeared. I believe that this newspaper is referring to Nick. I believe Nick died a while after the very first cutscene in this game. How? No idea, but this is where the logic took me. Tldr: Demons invade Scott's house, feeding from his creativity and proceeding to torment and kill him. Micheal replaces him because FNAF - Become Human. Years later the house is repeared and Nick buys it, only to later be found dead.
I just thought this was weird cuz it was about scott and his family being chased by his oc's basically as if fnaf "ruined his life" when he's like....rich now.
41:43 For real, a lot of fnaf fan games these days have the final boss be a hybrid between all the animatronics, it's kinda lazy if you ask me although Ennard/Molten Freddy and Creation get a pass for being more original when they appeared.
@@KAY5IV5_5 Lamo that got be a joke, almost no one that I've seen likes or even cares about creation. Most people are like "Oh that animatronic" when they see him.
This game is really good and fun to play but I do remember the strategies with the memories, well at least three of them (could never get past the 4th one) First memory: I would wait for Freddy to be in second stage, wait for Bonnie to knock 2 or 3 times (I don't remember the specifics), listen for Chica to appear and do what's required for her, and for foxy wait till second stage. Second memory: Wait till the cameras are available and pause either foxy or Freddy and wait for Bonnie's sound cue to play four or five times, and if Chica appears then stand briefly. Third memory: Pray for bonnie to appear in the three cameras since bonnie doesn't attack you at the door and foxy will only appear in active cameras, so all that's left is, to check the doors for Freddy and the spots of Chicas cupcakes if she appears, otherwise just do the same but check the camera's for foxy before hand. Feel free to use these strategies if it's your first time playing or are having trouble with these memories.
I know this might be unrelated but the strategy I used for the office worked for some reason. Here it is: (It’s kinda weird.) Play the night normally til Bonnie starts to spawn. This might not be too known but foxy spawns very close to the cameras starting position and you can do it without having to look at Bonnie. And for Freddy. Well just guess. I used sound cues from Bonnie too but for some reason my brain just decided: AFtEr gEt RiD Fox guEss wHErE FAZNoSe is. But yeah that’s how that went.
I think the concept itself is great, but using the real creator of a real franchise to execute said concept is still really weird regardless of how you look at it or how well done the game actually is. TJOC always bordered way too heavily on real person fanfiction for me personally. Especially when for all we know the creator might not have even asked for Scott or his family's permission to make the game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. I really hope the story is changed in the remake to not be so...weirdly meta.
Quick note, it's not creation's advance. You need to flash golden freddy in the final section for the flames to advance. This section still takes long when you understand that though Just golden freddy I mean. This section isn't liked by many people, so I wonder if it'll be changed for the ignited edition
I have been binge watching your content for the last 3 days, and I am absolutely loving the quality and the amount of work you put into this videos. Also you have a very cute laugh
I've always wanted to play this game but always ran into not having a computer strong enough to run it. I tried my dad's computer and it literally broke upon opening the game. Maybe one day though, I can't wait for the Ignited Collection
Yeah, This was overhyped to hell and back. As soon as Scott and his family were the playable characters I lost interest in the game and story. Not only that it feels like a minigame collection and nothing like the teaser demos suggested. I guess they couldn't get enough mileage out of the free roam gameplay also the ending was pretty mid overall meh game
How do you think Withered Chica is one of the worst designs ever, and you call people out for liking it. It’s honestly one of the best designs in the series
i completely disagree with your view on the withered animatronics . . i think they all look uncanny, especially freddy, and thats the point of them, they look just okay enough to be animatronics but just something about them is wrong
The thing that always got me about this game was the animatronic footstep sounds. In the originals, the animatronics just kind of...appear in the cameras. In the Joy of Creation (especially the Basement level) the heavy metal footsteps rapidly approaching really always had me on edge.
I feel like this video forgot one BIG part of the game, and that is the Jumpscare and Sound department. The "GWOOOOOOOUGH" everytime an animatronic catches you just fucking throws your heart out the window, and the jumpscare of The Creation is epic by itself.
@@xeibei4804yeah it sounds like a goofy ass anime/cartoon laugh, I can believe it honestly, I've seen plenty of people think that stuff works irl without being cringe, Idk I don't wanna assume, it could just be a funky laugh I'm just scarred from that one dude lol
I love this video but I 100% disagree with the criticism of withered foxy and especially withered chica. IMO her design especially in those fan made youtube vids is one of the scariest ones in the franchise.
On memory three at least what i remember, foxy can't appear on a Camara Bonnie has destroyed which really makes the night fairly easy in my opinion, i could be totally wrong about this and misremembering it but that was at least true for my playthrough.
44:22 it’s because fnaf 1 Bonnie lacks eyebrows - his design is creepier than the others because of the no eyebrows. Just look at him standing in the halls on the cameras, or even his jump scare. The others having eyebrows humanizes them in a way, and their placement gives them a more welcoming facial expression - Bonnie has none of that
So the fact that foxy has red lights makes sense becuase the bright light of white could mess with him like how you ward off withered foxy in fanf 2 with the flashlight.
ill be honest, when this game came out i was sorta meh about it, i really liked it but i was more focused on other fangames coming out at the time tbf, return to freddys, fnati and other og fangames interested me more, but i really wish i was into this game in its hayday
If you're gonna get creative with the animatronic designs anyways, I'd probably have had a least one where a partial corpse can still be seen in the inside.
I think you hate the withered animatronics because you’ve misconstrued what they’re supposed to be. They’re not the same robots as the FNAF 1 animatronics
I can't take any game where Scott himself is PART OF THE HORROR(tm) seriously. The Return To Freddy's and this are both just too goofy for me to take seriously(and the voice acting is overwrought imo; I cannot physically listen to any of it without imagining the VA screaming into their desk microphone), and if Freddy Krueger can't do 'what if he was in the real world' horror effectively then Freddy Fazbear definitely can't.
I’m surprised this is a FNAF fan game. The game looks like it was made by a multi million dollar company, The voice acting is great, and it’s one of if not the scariest not only FNAF fan game but FNAF game.
If you are reading this comment before watching the video, please I implore you to watch the video. There are spoilers that I'm going to say that I don't want to ruin for people who haven't yet seen the game or video. The ending of this game, there was so much emotion put into it. This is one of the only fan games that I've ever played at that has genuinely made me feel like I was going to cry. You can just feel the emotion the amount of pain in Scotts voice, screaming for his family, the panic the fear in his voice as everything is burning around him. You can hear his pain, his tears, everything that can be portrayed in a moment like that as the only thing he cares about is his family's safety. The scream in his last moments are soul ripping as the house collapses around him. There's also the portion after everything is over where "Scott" walks out of the house to meet the family, you can immediately tell there's something wrong. The repeating line, "You're safe now, that's all that matters" as the family slowly comes to realize that this isn't their husband, their dad. It pulls on your heart strings. This game is so well done that and I am floor if you haven't played it yet to please just take your time and place yourself. There's no other game quite like it.
That voice actor deserves so much praise with how well they did his final lines, genuinely was one of if not the best voice acting I’ve ever heard in any fnaf fan game
@@insomniacloserxo honestly though! The lines that were said at the end have stuck with me for years as probably one of the most chilling moments in even many normal games honestly. I really hope that voice actor is going to be going to do field of that pays them extremely well because they deserve all the praise and recognition that they get
Why do i feel somewhat responsible for the making of this video, sure you had the project on the backburner for a while but i find it concerning that i recently mentioned TJOC and it's here xD
40:11 i think Withered chica is kina scary. Its the gaping jaw and no hands with souless eyes. Like i got the feeling of if i get close enough shes gonna bite my head off. Uncanny. And withered freddy. Oh god, HES HUGE. SEARCH UP HIS HEIGHT THAT THING IS A GIANT. thats why hes scary to me. As a short teen that thing is my worst nightmare. Also withered foxy, is eh like insomniac said. Just fnaf 1 foxy but worse
Withered Chica is such a powerful design. The sunken piercing eyes and the locked limbs make me squirm. It's jaw is one of my favorite parts. It gives off a "all I can do is scream" vibe. Chica really looks broken beyond repair. Even Bonnie is mostly in tact.
