I had a 25 dollar gift card from a school event and just picked this up. I love the art deco styling of the game so much and the mechanics seem really fun!
Great video. I think this would scratch the "Monopoly" itch (though that hasn't come around for a long time) - essentially, this feels like more of what I would want Monopoly to be. Interesting that I haven't heard of the game before now, but maybe not terribly surprising based on how many games are released each year (5,000 is what I heard recently - wow!). Not a lot of games offer what you've mentioned and include a cityscape that is built as you play. Pretty cool. Are you an Amazon affiliate? I'm thinking a lot of people like myself would click a link like that and every little bit helps :)
Great point--I agree this scratches the monopoly itch, and I'm guessing it might scratch the "Foundations of Rome" itch as well, for those who don't want to spend hundreds or don't have the shelf space... I'm really amazed with how nice the components are in this game! Man... I remember looking into the Amazon affiliate program a while back, and it was really cumbersome to become a part of (I think at the time, they had recently added a lot of restrictions on joining...) I appreciate the suggestion and the reminder--I guess I need to look at it again and see if it's something I can set up. Are you an Amazon affiliate?--would love some tips if you are. 😎
@@BoardGameCasualChannel I did jump through all of the hoops and got it set up for my Pen Connection channel, but it hasn't done much for me at this point. It's been long enough that I'm not sure I'd be much help, but happy to try, lol. It's definitely something that would build and pay off over time, but nothing super immediately beneficial.
