Mahomes has made the AFC championship game every year he has been the starter and is now going to his 4th Super Bowl already. If I was in the football market, he would have been the only player I would have bought the last few years

I don’t mean to bash, I know a lot of work went into Cards HQ. But man, if you’re using this as a studio for RU-vid…it looks like an outdated library in the background. Please reconsider this going forward. Really liked the aesthetics of the old studio with the wall and the memorabilia in the background.

Before the playoffs I bought tons of Mahomes. Because if he didnt make it this year he would eventually again. Selling 2 of his rookies PSA 10, 9, numbered PSA 10 pop11. He is always a smart investment

I don't understand the hoopla behind Panini releasing those cards with a no autograph stamp. No autograph stamps go back 20 years to the original Donruss in some iconic sets like contenders. It was pretty much done then for the benefit of set collectors, rather than insert a redemption that'll likely never get filled they release the cards stamped with no autograph so set collectors could still put it in to complete the set. If I remember correctly Sean Taylors contenders rookie auto was stamped no autograph.

The 2017 Prizm Mahomes has very similar pop counts to Brady’s 2000 Bowman Chrome. Some could argue these are their “go to” rookie cards or most popular. Brady’s PSA 9s are 2x what Mahomes PSA 9s are so in my opinion thats the cap on this investment IF everything goes right for Mahomes 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have always been a Mahomes fan even when he was slinging the ball down the field at Texas Tech. I thought he could be the next Tom Brady so I picked up some of his rookie cards cheap and still have them today. I bought a box of 2017 Contenders Football early and kept it sealed tell I sold it last year for $5000. I feel like if he wins this Super Bowl and is named MVP his cards will skyrocket in price again! Congrats on the grand opening! 🙂

The problem is, and I’m sorry to burst any bubbles or rain on any parade but, sports cards are not good investments and they were never meant to be. I wish they were bc I have a lot of nice cards. Yes there are circumstances where certain cards make ppl profit but cards as a whole are horrible investments.

Mahomes is the 1st player to expect even though Purdy and Stroud shocked the hobby but in the end experience do matter....CONGRATS CARDSHQ SHEESH!!!!

This is what happens when people don’t know their history of cards or think they are experts in the hobby. Donruss / Playoff used to issue NO AUTOGRAPH stamped cards all of the time in redemptions that they couldn’t fulfill. You would get the NO AUTOGRAPH card as well as a bonus auto from another player to fulfill the redemption the player was never going to sign. They stamp these cards so that unscrupulous sellers don’t forge a signature or go to a signing and get the card signed and claim that the card was signed all along from the factory. The first NO AUTOGRAPH cards I remember were in 1999 Playoff Contenders Football and I still have the Cecil Collins card.

I'm old school (42), I really miss Topps Football, maybe I'm a brand fan, but I only buy Topps product. I remember in the 00s, always getting those packs, they also had really cool promotions with them (remember them). But I own a lot of those cards, sans no Brady's, granted I was biased (Don't like Michigan and a Colts fan), but absolutely I wish I could go back and get em, but hindsight is always 20-20.

I don’t think it’s a bad investment because you can get the other players’ rookie cards for a reasonable price. AKA buying up alllll the CJ stroud in September and October. If you had a HUGE bankroll I could see investing in Mahomes. But outside of that gotta let the dice roll lol

I sold my d rose Rc /10 gold hyper plaid from Topps Co-Signers and I've yet to see another one since I've been back into collecting over the past 7-8 yrs which is kinda crazy!! I sold it back in 2021 I believe n wish I had it back n although I did good selling at a 4x higher price then I bought it I still can't believe I sold it def a rare rare Rc of his being out of /10 it's obviously gonna be the hard to see again if ever!!😣 n yea lot of cards I wish I didn't sell including the optic rated Rc of Mahomes along with a number of other Rcs of his I sold damnit but the way it is folks!!

Dude said Mahomes went to 6 straight AFC Championships in a row and “Brady never did that” LOL. Brady went to 8 in a row from 2011-2018. The last one beating the Mahomes Chiefs in KC. Also, a dynasty is 3 super bowl championships in 4 years. Always has been, going back decades ago. Not 2 or 3 super bowl wins in 6 years. Mahomes hasn’t won 3 in 4 years yet nor might he ever. Mahomes is excellent but try catching Joe Montana first before the Brady comparisons.

The NO AUTOGRAPH on Wemby was a smart move by Panini. Panini can't have a blank space on the cards. If there is a blank space on the cards, people can sign fake auto on top of it or Wemby can sign it. Now there is a big word, "NO AUTOGRAPH" on it, no one can sign it.

Call me crazy, but for me it’s time to buy Mike trout, something is telling me this year the angels will surprise everyone.

I feel this off-season, the QB's to buy would be Jordan Love (Packers) as the one to watch in 2024. The longshot only on the cheap might be Bailey Zappe (he was the darkhorse performer in 2022 before Purdy took the spotlight as Zappe took the bench to Jones). As a "Hmmm..." maybe he is going to be the starter is Aidan O'Connell for the Raiders, as it seems he had a great pre-season and earned his starting position towards the end of the season as an underpriced rookie compared to Stroud, Young, Levis and even those other unproven prospect QB's the past few years.
