You didn't even mention the utter confusion on the face of the defender as he was working to comprehend that assist. He's like "Wuh! Where'd the ball go???"
@@coreymouton3900 That is correct and nobody sees it yet. The casino gamble isn't JUST going to fail, it is going to fall flat on its face to make an exclamation point on the fact that Texas isn't going to let a parade of OUTSIDERS (Cuban & the Adelsons) strong arm the state into legalizing casino gambling. And that will leave the franchise only with its Plan B: moving to Las Vegas.
Its because of all the Europeans coming into the NBA where they focus a lot more on having the best teamwork and how to function as a team, compared to in the US, where if you wanna get a scholarship you are kinda forced to play selfish in order to show the scouts, school etc. how much of a talent you are, to make sure they sign you.
Definitely one of the most powerful displays of teamwork I've ever seen on the technical, and finesse side. The control of each team mate and their ability to read the field and each other was amazing.
Every part of this is a thing of beauty, the hustle, the dime, the unselfish perfect assist, the finish, the music, the edit, the Cuban reaction. Sublime!
Absolutely incredible! I couldn’t help but watch it over and over. This whole scenario couldn’t have been planned for, yet it came together like they’d practiced it for weeks. The slow motion, the Mav’s sideline and Mark Cuban’s reaction, just perfection.
Balling at its finest...the hustle, the awareness of where your teammates are, the unselfish play, the crazy finish, without the bs calls, the excitement of the crowd...an example of how every game should make you feel!!!
@@coinraker6497 The rules regarding traveling weren't nearly as defined back then as they are now. As long as the slide is a result of a dive, stumble, or loss of balance - it's legal. They can also slide as far as their natural momentum will take them. After the slide, the same pivot foot rulings apply to their next movements.
The fact that Ky threw it just high enough for the defender to miss it 🤯 We better appreciate him while we have him. There won't be another magician like him for a while.
@@DocHolliday3841to the right of him in the video, not his right the player who jumps man with the pants on he damn near looks eye level w the rim too haha
Mavs have had some incredible highlights over the years, but this is hands down the greatest display of teamwork, awareness and athleticism from a TEAM
Yo that slowmo is by far one of the sickest NBA clips I’ve ever seen. Especially because you can see everyone’s eyes get wide in the crowd as he’s throwing up the lob. You’re watching people slowly see a lightbulb click and then BOOM.
you can see how much quicker the actual players see the game happening. he saw it and was already celebrating before basically any of the fans had reacted.
Imagine that being a commercial for the NBA! It would go like this: "Come to watch whatever the Hell that is! No rules apply! From this year no more fouls, no more travelling, no more carrying! Watch your favorite players play like toddlers! Since they couldn't follow any rules, we REMOVED them all!"
@@7R4dicalized Not really…. He still has 27% stake in the company and he still manages everything. That’s as far away from being a fan as it could possibly get
@Noyut120 that's pretty awesome ngl! Out of all the folks on sharktank he is always the one that comes off most honest and ethical. Seems like a chill hang
This whole short is fuckin EPIC!!!! The slow mo. Luka flicking the ball to keep it away from the opponent, then diving for the ball, no look pass while literally sliding on the floor!!! Kyrie streaking down court to receive the pass from Luka and adding that silky smooth ball-handling skill-set making the ball spin in his hand ✋️!!! And then, Kyrie lobbing the rock so his team-mate can slam it home!!! Pure synergy!!! Pure hustle!!!! Pure teamwork!! Pure NBA magic!!! And the background track really takes it to a whole different level!!! Somebody send this short to the NBA and the Mavericks front office!!! The person who produced this short needs to get paid!!!
I absolutely agree with EVERYTHING you said about the description of this play breakdown. What I agree with the most is also what you said, that whoever it was who captured this on film, REALLY NEEDS TO BE PAID, everything was caught perfectly we didn’t miss a single second of this masterpiece…. PLEASE PAY THAT MAN OR WOMAN WHO FILMED THIS ACTION 💰💰💰💰
The steal was vicious, the pass was outstanding, the lob was artistic, and the dunk sealed the g.o.a.t. play I've ever seen. The music track was no joke either. Great job.
The way the ref stayed with the scramble. The way the cameras moved together as Kyrie went up. The way Gafford posed while his teammate was dunking. Everytime i see this, it's more crazy 🔥😳
This was so smooth, why its so important to know your teammates and know what they can do and to trust in their capabilities and know they are gonna be right where they are needed
From the start of the steal, to the crying, to the behind the head pass, to the in the hand ball spin, to the just out of reach lob, to the jjjjjjam, to mark Cuban celebration......perfection
@@locodoco9310your right. Idk how anybody else watches this and doesnt think thats a travel. Hes slides every bit of 3ft with clear possesion of the ball without a dribble. Travel. Ball out of bounds to the opponent.
@@locodoco9310 Being "used to" doesn't make it better, those kinds of slides are uncontrollable. Else most of the slide will be called travel. There is a reason why it changed and It's for the better. Stop with the "old is cool".
My 83 yr old retired military veteran dad is a huge Mavs fan - watches every game all year on tv - so cool that I finally had to take him to a game & it was this one!! 😎👍🙏. Priceless! ❤
