It was my first Wrestlemania I watched after I quit watching WWE literally after Wrestlemania 27. Fucking hated that shit. It was great and had an amazing time. The 2 Bloodline main event matches, 2 womens matches, Intercontinental triple threat, Seth vs Logan Paul, or Mysterios were really cool. 8/10 for me
@splatzilla6064 no! I didn't see my #1 superstar Undertaker losing the streak, I missed the Rock vs Cena twice, Daniel Bryan hype. The Shield and Brock Lesnar taking over WWE, Roman apparently being super fucking hated 😒 so hard in around 2014-2017(?) The amount of times he was main eventing WrestleManias and won the Rumble. Missed seeing the Women main event WrestleMania, as well as them being a greater roster/matches to compete that were traditionally only for the men (chambers, money in the bank...). Missed Sasha Bank, Charlotte Flair... I missed on a lot of historical moments in WWE for 12 years 😢 but I'm happy to he back and witness Roman vs Cody twice in a row
I'll say it again. WRESTLEMANIA 39 CODY RHODES VS ROMAN REIGNS match brought me back into loving Wrestling. Who to love and support, but who to hate and loath. The last time i watch WRESTLEMANIA was from pandemic era. I have never been this excited for Wrestlemania 40 because of watching weekly shows daily. It has been a fun journey afterall.
I showed a friend of mine who likes MMA and isn't normally into wrestling the IC title match. He really liked it. Even if it's not a legit fight; you have to appreciate the physicality of three big guys just BEATING THE PISS out of each other!
Basically wm in 2020s except 36 was much better than 2010s wm like 2011 except hhh vs taker, 12 except hhh vs taker, 16,17,18,19. Best 2010s wm were 2013, 14, 15 and best match was triple h vs Undertaker trilogy
@@Raywrites_books 2013 WrestleMania was far better and enjoyable than every mid 2010s wm from 2016 - 20. Only good side about late 2010s was it has better women's match compare to early 2010s because it was divas era. 2013 match cards were super solid matches like shield vs randy, sheamus, big show, triple h vs lesnar, taker vs punk, rock vs Cena were good. Rest midcard matches like delrio vs swagger, ic championship was decent too. In short 2013, 14 and 15 were top 3 WrestleMania of 2010s overall. After them it's 2017 followed by 2019. 2019 is remember for moments like kofimania and women's main event but 2017 had just better match cards and overall better WrestleMania than 2019. So 2010s wm in my ranking are 2014 =\> 2015 > 2013 > 2017> 2019> 2012 only due to taker vs hhh and cena vs rock > 2018 > 2016 > 2011. Now top 5 matches of 2010s mania are Taker vs hhh wm 28 Taker vs punk wm 29 Taker vs hhh wm 27 Hhh vs sting wm 31 Hhh vs bryan or Bryan vs Orton vs Batista wm 30
36 would’ve been good as well if it had the crowd. They did the best with the hand they were dealt mostly- though I’d say Lesnar and McIntyre should’ve had a much more drawn out Main Event instead of basically exchanging finishers.
@@markjagger2412 it was better than Rollins vs lesnar 2min match there SummerSlam was much better made Lesnar real threat and Rollins top face but 2mjn of Lesnar getting defeated by someone like seth is pure joke when he dominated Undertaker, hhh, cena even his match wild Goldberg at WrestleMania was 5min
Wrestlemania 39 holds a special place in my heart since it was my first wrestlemania I’ve attended. I enjoyed every bit of it except for the women’s tag matches, theory and cena, and Bàlor losing to edge. I really wanted Bàlor to win.
Yeah balor should’ve won but edge winning wasn’t really a wrong choice balor winning was just better im just bummed still that balor got injured cause that match could’ve been special and they clearly had a lot of spots planned out
@@shortesnameofalltime edge winning was definitely more than wrong choice 1st edge didn't need that victory lol 2nd it's totally buried demon balor character by losing totally clean that no one gonna take his demon character serious now. I would've no problem if finn came in normal jd character instead of demon and edge won the match since jd finn is weak as hell
I believe that this year's Wrestlemania will TOP last year's just based on the match card right now and the results of those matches, but 39 is definitely a top notch Wrestlemania OAT and one of the best in modern history
yeah this was the rocks time probably but scheduling didn’t allow it so they just handed cody the L, which is fine tbh it adds more depth to inevitable end that is cody pinning roman for the championshop
This isn't how I remember the Omos match , I remember him throwing around Lesnar everywhere until he started waking up at the end, pretty fun match imo
If you think WM 39 Main Event was overbooked then youre gonna pass out at 40 cuz no way Kevin, Sami, Seth, Rock, the Usos, Paul Heyman and Solo dont get involved.
Ngl, as a person that was actually at WM39 himself, the pure energy in the stadium was amazing, the matches were amazing and like it was just sooo good (full biased because it was my first PPV as well I attended 🤭)
I, like a lot of people, was bummed out a bit after the ending of Night 2 but I've grown to like the ending over time and the payoff is gonna be worth it if Cody beats Roman at this years Mania. All of Night 1 and the rest of Night 2 were amazing though, one of the best Manias overall imo, and the first Mania I watched live after getting back into WWE with the 2023 Royal Rumble
@@pleaseshutup7053 that'd be stupid imo, not just because i want Cody to finish his story, but because another year or more of Roman having 1 match every 3 months is gonna be so lame. I like Roman's current character but the way they book him sometimes is annoying
@@pleaseshutup7053 it's ok to like Roman and not liking Cody, but having Roman win at WM40 I think it's very stupid. Having Cody win two Royal Rumbles in a row, being in two WrestleMania Night 2 main events in a row with Roman and lose both times will just make all this build up kind of meaningless. I would've been ok with Roman to retain against someone else (even if he is showing up less and less), but after this big build up they are doing, started after Royal Rumble 2023, going with Roman champion again would kill it all for me. I think the best choice is having Cody winning and make this the starting point for the Bloodline break up, leading to a non titled Roman vs Rock at WM41. This makes the title appear more on TV, Cody finishes its story and Roman starts one of the biggest feuds of his career with The Rock.
@@al24-01 I like Cody but the ridiculous Cody fans ruined my interest in seeing Cody win at wrestlemania. I would much rather see Cody lose then win mitb and cash In at summerslam
I've always said and still stand by that if Cody, Asuka, and Finn had won last year, Mania 39 would be in the same tier as X7 in terms of GOATed Wrestlemanias. Night 1 is perfect, but Night 2 just fumbled in some areas, but wasn't bad by any stretch. Still a top 10, maybe even top 5 Wrestlemania. Also, everything post Mania 39 in terms of the Bloodline Civil War and the Rock doesn't need the championship to still work. They can just fight over the Tribal Chief position, which is a more personal prize for their story.
Roman v cody is a 5star match according to me and yes i was completely on board with the outcome a d i am clamouring for our tribal to crush cody and send him back to mid card dungeons. 100 % sure that rhea v becky will suck. Charlotte v rhea was mind-blowing though
santi i hope you read this message and put thought into this. they should do a daniel bryan movement for chad gable. i know triple h is not able to wrestle anymore but i was thinking chad gable should have a match with a superstar who managed to not get a wrestlemania spot and wrestle them on night 1, have gable win it and move on to night 2. even though this is not a MAIN EVENT spot but this would in my opinion be a good idea. lets say gable wins the ic but in a submission hold with michael cole chanting “tap out gunther, tap out gunther” over and over again.
@@wavyzay360 nah it should've used only if he was winning but since he lose he should've come in normal jd character. Him losing in demon character clean literally ruined his gimmick now that no one gonna take him seriously just like how fiend lose to Goldberg in 2mins
Im ngl, WM35 was the first mania I ever got to attend. And it was right before 36 which is when the world shut down. And it holds a special place in my heart. Granted I feel the miz should’ve won, but I loved every match, the outcomes. And it was the first time I got back into wrestling and was so behind Kofi and Seth winning it made me so happy. Seth cs Brock was the first match and it’s the one I waited for the most. And I was crying and yelling “3, 3, 3!!!!” When he did the first curb stomp. And I cried when that 3 count came and Seth won. Same for Kofi. Having been a wrestling fan since I was 5 and now 19. I can say WM35 is my favorite mania
Wrestlemania 39 was the most anxious and emotionally connected I’ve ever been with wrestling in a long time. It all delivered especially because I watched the show at a wrestling bar with a packed house which elevates the energy and the passion for the event. If you’re looking to watch by yourself don’t, try and find a spot nearby hosting it it’ll make it hit better!
31 is one of the best man 32 was shit with some moments 33 was mid 34 and 35 same mid with some moments 36 to me is a guilty pleasure 37 was good 38 was better than good 39 is a classic.
I started watching you in like October-ish, and had no idea you've been posting for less than a year. Your videos are so high quality that it feels like you've been doing it for years.
In regards to balor and edge if u take the injury into account it was such a fun match. i was more concerned with how Finn was than the pacing, but I’ve only watched it once
Yep in my opinion top 3 WrestleMania of all time the roman vs cody match alone the tension and the match itslef the storyline and the usos vs sz and ko definitely the Best man
If Edge would lose to Balor who is completely covered in blood form the beginning of the match it would be really bad. How can you lose to someone who is bleeding so much while you are ok, It`s stupid and unrealistic.
In the buildup to Mania I was laughing at the fans that were criticizing the mens tag team showcase match. I knew that match would be a banger. If you look at the talent involved. The high flyers in Ford and Ricochet, the monsters in Strowman and Otis, the explosive heavyweights in Dawkins, Erik and Ivar and one of the best wrestlers in the world in Chad Gable. I knew this match would be insanely good.
I don’t throw the term “burial” around like a lot of people do, but the burial of Demon Balor is one of the biggest booking mistakes in recent WWE history
Disagree about the main event. You could have had Cody win and still did the bloodline breakup storyline. If anything it would have made Roman's dissent into madness much more effective. Also, having Cody go into a title fued with Brock after this would have made more sense than the fued we got and having Cody over Brock in that scenario would have legitimized his title reign.
I stopped watching WWE in 2015 after it started getting stale and decided to come back in 2021 after keeping up loosely in that off period. I wasn’t fully in until WM 39 because of Charlotte v Rhea. It got me back into WWE, insane match
For the Becky/Team Beasties vs DMG CTRL I actually 100% agree with you. It almost seemed like Bayley and Dakota didn't wanna go ALL OUT against Lita and Stratus and it really showed. And I 100% agree that Stratus should have turned here. Rhea v Charlotte was amazing, one of the best matches in wrestling history. I like Bianca v Sasha a BIT better, but it's still an S Tier Match. The Women's Tag team Showcase was trash and as a women's wrestling fan it's matches like this that used to give women's wrestling a bad name. There was so many instances of missed spots, wayyy too much miscommunication. Poor Nattie looked so frustrated, because she KNEW this match was just bad. Ronda and Shayna doing nothing, getting injured and STILL winning did absolutely nothing for anyone. See I liked Asuka v Bianca, because it was so slow and methodical. I liked that it wasn't fast and high impact. I liked that Bianca and Asuka got to show that women could be overtly technical, which we really hadn't seen in awhile. And I definitely think Bianca going over clean was the best call. I do agree that their NoC match was better, but I think this match was still good-great.
I definitely enjoyed WM39, then again, I enjoy every PLE even if people didn’t like it. I finally get to enjoy PLE’s after years of not being able to watch PPV’s
I think the same thing is going to happen to Cody. All the bloodline members. Everyone coming out to the ring. Cody eats a rock bottom, spike, then a spear. But this time he kicks out for the shock factor.
Honestly, Cena vs theory was a basic match but it was decent. Brock vs Omos was actually waaaay better than it had every right to be and I wouldn’t say it was a squash since Brock was getting tossed for most of it and the crowd made that match really enjoyable. Bianca and Asuka was decent but yeah nothing special. The main event was fantastic regardless of the result
The idea that if Roman lose they couldn’t tell the bloodline civil war is just flat out wrong. It actually would make just as much if not more sense if he did lose the title. First off it makes the Brock vs Cody storyline make sense. But on the bloodline side you can have the same things happen. Roman feels the USOs didn’t do enough, jay and jimmy are growing sick of being miss treated especially because Roman isn’t champ anymore. This leads to the that amazing jay jimmy Roman segment were jay super kicks Roman for jimmy, they then have the tag match and win. This is the only part were it isn’t as great cause it’s not the first time Roman’s been pinned in forever but it still works. Then they have jay vs Roman. By not having the title on Roman you don’t have to have the stupid and poorly written jimmy turn. Roman can either go over clean given he’s lost his last two matches, or solo can cost jay. He’ll maybe they change it a bit and he’s special guest referee and he hasn’t decided on a side yet. At first this seems like bland booking but Rember solo wouldn’t have costed Cody so it wouldn’t feel nearly as played out. Roman wins and does whatever untill around rumble time were you lead to rock vs Roman for head of the table. Cody can face whoever and we avoid all the questionable bookings we have had, like rock almost over stepping Cody or the jimmy turn. Hhh and wwe clearly know what there doing and have kept the shoes entertaining and well written overal, but Roman going over Cody at mania was just fucking stupid
I heard that Finn wanted to finish the match even while bleeding. I mean i understand protocol is important but shit if the man wants to fight like that i wouldve said fuck it and let the match be done. HiaC is supposed to be the most brutal so have at it
Are we forgetting how solid 37&38 where? I remember how everyone loved those shows, it’s not fair to say 39 was the first good Wrestilmania in a bit when those shows exist.
I went to 39 and it was ok IMO. It def couldve been better. Didnt have any suprises. No one wanted to see Shane. We all were waiting to see LA Knight and that didnt happen.
For some reason the colored weapons took away from the feeling I got from the HIAC match. I jus didn’t like the fact that he grabbed a red kindo stick and a red chair like why was that necessary
Why every wrestling related youtuber have same opinion on everything 😂, i didn't like the result but demon vs edge was still a crazy match , i loved that but i didn't see a single guy on RU-vid who said that it was a good
Snoop was definitely quick to react but credit should be given to referee Jessika Carr who was the one to swiftly tell him to do the People’s Elbow. She’s the one who saved the segment in my eyes :p
In my opinion I wanna see wrestlemania be just one night to much filler matches make the card feel less special rather have 4-5 hrs of a solid match card
39 was good but there was shane fuck up and finn getting busted open..prob one the best there been ..but also subjective of 2 nights...night 1 was perfect (10) night 2 was say a 7 ish..so takes it to a 9 ish out of 10
Santi, you think they use gables shoulders not being down in a storyline to make this a triple threat and take the title off Gunther without him being pinned? Or does it not have the same feeling if chad doesn’t pin Gunther
