My 4A hair is low to medium density and medium length. The wash and go is my go-to style at this point but I use a leave in, a cream and seal with olive oil. I also shingle which takes longer than raking but my very defined results last two weeks without refreshing. I don't use gels because they are drying on my hair and create tangles. I also do not stretch my hair because I embrace shrinkage as an indication of healthy curls. I allow my hair to get bigger as the days go by and it remains defined until wash day. Your hair is long, thick and lush so maybe my method won't work for you.

I love your hair! The shrinkage is real! Have you tried stretching your hair with either a blow dryer or banding it to get more length?

Your hair looks GREAT but your hair shrunk up sooooo much lol I personally dont like that, especially since my hair isnt long yet so it shrinks up to my scalp 🤦🏽‍♀️ great look !!
