Hi Gwen! You and I have really similar textures (fine, high porosity). I am type 4a/b. I also style on dry hair because it works but I’m not entirely sure *why* it works - is it because our hair is too full of water to style wet? Also would love your advice… my 4b sections are very porous and dry really crunchy even when I style on dry hair and seal with an oil. Those sections break like crazy and never get beyond 2 inches long. How should I treat those sections? Thanks!
Hi Marisa thanks for reaching out! I would detangle your hair really well in the shower during wash day so your hair is good to go when it’s time to style it! Also, use a leave-in conditioner to style your hair if you’re styling it dry/out of the shower. Hope that helps! 💕
