I know it's a good business,and great re life for the machine,serving an important sector. It does pain a little bit not to see it yarding logs.It's Like taking a wild bird and putting in a little cage to live a new way. Thanks my friend ❤. This old video 2010. There actually not much original 158 in these machines 😳 . The shafts ,drums, and more are modified. The last 208 was build from scratch as we have made too many changes to adapt for Gravel industry,, and the machines are very costly to rework,, to the standard we want. But totally know what your saying my friend,,, they are Awesome Yarders ,,wish they were out there pulling logs . I personally feel the big towers make more sense than how things are done today,,,, unfortunately the contractor gets the shit end of the stick . What's the difference in using this machine versus a regular Dragline? Or what benefits does it have over it? I think these are fascinating to watch...a bit slow - but interesting none the less.
Skyline Excavators, can go further and deeper . This machines winch has been heavily modified from original logging winch. It also has an interlocking winch,, so better on fuel,, horsepower savings ,,, do more work with less HP.
