All 727's a DC-9 and a couple of king airs. Makes me miss the good old 727 a lot right now!

This is fantastic!!! So many fine airlines that are now gone but not forgotten. I miss my all-time favorite airplane too. The Boeing Heven-Twenty-Heaven - errr - 727.

Wow, this really takes me back! I loved the Boeing 727. It had such a smooth ride & was so dependable, even in bad weather. I also remember DCA back in the eighties, when there was a lot of action inside the terminal. Protesters, people wanting you to sign their petitions, Hare Krishnas . . . ah, those were some days!

OMG!!!! You caught N900TX on the ramp. That blue trim Merlin III belonged to Textron Lycoming out of Williamsport, PA, where I flew from from 1986-88!!!

Back when airports were loud! Worked @ hobby for SWA back then! I hated the noise then. I miss it now!

Thanks for the upload. Fond wonderful memories being a young person avgeek. The airline industry was so fun for a kid with regional and national product differentiations of branded airlines multiple types of mainline equipment used. So miss seeing the DC-9s and 727s. My heart still skips a beat when I see Piedmont Airlines and the original USAIr (usair) livery rebranded from Allegheny Airlines.

Love the 727! Best looking and sounding jet airliner ever imho. Eastern Airlines, Piedmont, Pan Am. 727's look great in any livery. I miss seeing and flying on the 'ol 72. Thanks for the great video clip!

the DL 727 in the video had the tip of its radome painted black, and i've seen pics of delta's early dc-9s with a similar nose treatment. when did delta make the switch to an all black nose on their birds?
