Well done, my brothers in arms! (Some of them Veterans, like me). Dignified marching; steady step, no exaggerations; their bearing impecable. And mixed with the people, and some marching schools too, with no demands of militarism for them. Unlike countries like Perú, Bolivia and others in the total America, or China and their automated marching in Asia. Not necessarily an event as marcial as what you would see in England, nowadays, or in Chile, South America, but a happy, dignified festivity where the people seem content with what they see, and take part in. I happen to be a Chilean by birth, who spent 30 years in the United States Army, became a Veteran of two conflicts (Vietnam 1971; Panama invasion 1989). And enjoys watching military parades, which I've seen in several countries, to include Chile.

There is no advantage in military unity, nor in marching. Discipline in the army contributes to victory, but other things such as: logistics, the righteousness of the way and faith in leadership The rest is just that An army that marches well is not a guarantee of a victorious army!
