I would tell you the best part staying at a hotel near the airport, you get to see the airplanes land or take off , that’s my favorite part of the airport

I just wish they extend AeroTrain to the other gates

Now both airports are connected the Washington Metro

@@throughmyhand, there is an airport in unincorporated Anne Arundel County, MD just south of Baltimore which is BWI. It mainly serves Baltimore and of course, DC as a secondary. Before the existance of IAD, back in the '50s to early '60s, people in the DC area travel to the Baltimore area and use BWI. Last year, the Silver Line finally connects IAD to help bring more passengers in and out of the airport to and from the center of the DC area. Therefore, there are 3 airports serving the combined statistical area of DC and Baltimore which are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) (since the '40s), Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) (since the '50s) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) (since the '60s). Again, DCA is made for regional travel, BWI is a balance between long distance travel and regional travel, and IAD is a world class airport for long distance travel.

After so many delays, you can now catch the silver line from the airport. Downside, it is not exactly in the terminal, so some walking is involved.

When the station opens, there is a pedestrian tunnel that links to the main terminal of the airport
