Last time i did a walking tour of Washington Square Mall was right before covid kicked off in January 2020. Here is a updated walk for 2022. It's located in Tigard, Oregon.
Thanks for the walkthrough! I live down the road, but never have a reason to go there. Seeing this video is like going there without having to go there.
Of all the malls in the Portland area, only Washington Square and Clackamas Town Center are still around. There's talk about revitalizing the Mall 205 area.
This is the mall of my childhood. I remember back in the 80’s when it just a straight shot from Sears to what is now Macy’s. No upstairs food court either.
It is a all white area of the portland metro area only a few bus lines and a commuter rail go near that neighborhood which explains why it is so perfect and out of this whole video you cannot spot one african american. Its just facts im not racist im a jew kid. all the other malls close to n.e. portland are dead and mostly vacant. Another perfect mall like this in portland is the Bridgeport village mall, pioneer place and maybe clackamas town center mall. also wal-mart pulled out all of its stores in portland because of the bad areas that grew around them and theft of the locals in those neighborhoods. One major retailer Fred Meyer plays loud classical music and displays blue flashing strobes in their parking lots all hours of the day, but only in those other neighborhoods.
