Next season they have to present us with the summoned heroes, as the main world's conflict revolves around them. Which means season 2 will have to return to the time where Makoto was summoned and see what makes their journey different. I do wonder, however, whether or not they are going to adapt the little chapters of the events as they happen on earth. (Makoto's parents know where he went, as he left a letter for them, but his classmates don't like misteries) Not the most important content and not at all relevant to the main plot, but I still wonder.
What I think is, Makoto was able to speak with Lance/Mitsurugi cuz the Dragon Killer used the ring of "anti-goddess blessing"(that is how I call it). And Makoto able to retrieve back his blessing after he got away and time passes while he was knocked out, maybe the ring has an AOE effect where who got caught in its radius makes the hero lost his blessing. Also, I notice that Makoto still has the blessing of Tsukuyomi, so I guess it is cool that the ring only nullifies the bitch goddess' blessing. And what I also think is that the bitch actually cursed Makoto by unably level up and talk to "hyuman" but he can learn its language but it will turn out blurry or maybe radio static sound thingy when a Hyuman hears him. I am glad that Makoto was son of Hyuman from that isekai world, trained in our world, and blessed op skill by Tsukuyomi. That is my theory, I am going to watch the anime after this, then the manga. The fight was dope.
@@decemberfrostpaindine7987 I don't know if there is actually an answer yet to Makoto's lack of leveling. But many RPGs make it more difficult for you to level up the bigger your basic stats are. Makoto, however, has been powering up since the beginning, as he has been consistently doubling mana up to the point he was stopped by Mio and Tomo. And remember, Makoto is a hyuman who has been training on earth with human techniques for years, he has just been supressed on earth since birth.

How do you know the cut content will be in the next season typically cut content is lost to time when adapted to anime. With a rare chance of it coming back as a flashback. Slime Diaries is a rarities from what I heard for anime's cut content making into the light of animation. Note: This is second hand information for me as I'm an anime only. However, I have seen some videos about My Villain Academia Arc's cut content, and Shield Hero's cut content.

If anything, Season 1 is worldbuilding and we see from Makoto's perspective what the world is like and how the goddess calls him to a conflict he knew so little about. The heroes subplot is not relevant for Makoto's Season 1's journey and it's best to stick to the tone to be surprised with the MC. Season 1 is about Makoto messing up because of how much he doesn't know. Season 2 goes to everything that Makoto has missed (remember Makoto's lack of knowledge of his surroundings costs him 2 lives, so he makes a pledge to learn more
Notice the woman asked "you understand what he just said?"? Mitsurugi is a dragon so he speaks demi human, the lady is a human and still doesn't understand him.
the goddess protection: the goddess gives humans her protection which ups all of the humans stats for example their agility their defense their power even their luck it even stops humans from feeling alot of pain when they get hurt but the MC never had that from the start thats why their goddess blessing canceling didnt have any effect on the MC
It's not just Buffs that counts as Blessing, there are other stuff as well, though they would be only known when the other 2 Heroes plot is covered. But yeah, basically Makoto never got any Blessing from the Goddess, he only got an one Ability which had 1 restriction. Which is why the Ring didn't directly affect him
makoto saving the Rembrandt family is very important, it'll be explained in the next season. him helping on giving them the cure made makoto realize how scary curses are in this world, that's why when he learned that the forest ogres also use some kind of curse he didn't let them enter the mist before they find a cure
@@Sup_D I'm pretty sure Tomoe's the highest in defense and only a certain rainbow dragon could do something about her. Remember Tomoe literally shitted on one of the dragons that was against Makoto.
@@the7thresponse684 Wasn't the Sand one supposed to have the highest Defense (Tomoe is the Invincible Dragon, but not because she has highest Defense, but because of her techniques as the Mirage Dragon) Also, I was counting the power-level before Tomoe had form the Contract. As before contract, she and Sand were on almost equal power.
Just to "fix" 2 misconceptions: 1) The ring's effect is temporary, and limited to a certain area. 2) Lancer and Makoto could speak, and only between themselves, even under the ring's effect, because he still had the knowledge and proficiency to speak (I think in this case whatever language Lancer was speaking was what he used/learned while speaking to Tomoe, as both are Dragons), thanks to the goddess "curse" (as in, he learned the language through the curse, but kept the knowledge while the curse was lifted). 3) This is an speculation of mine, but I'm 90% sure Lancer and Sofia made a pact like Makoto with Shen (but I guess a 50/50 one).
For point no.3 im not sure if it is 50/50, because Lance seems to change shape which should be when there are dominant one as I remember. I would think more of 70/30 which is "parent/child" level of contract (or 60/40, if there is one)
No, 50/50 they will retain their form but share their powers 50/60 is when the inferior one will have the parts of the dominant one, for example if you make a contract with a dragon you'll have scales or something, 70/30 is child and parent which is why lancer has child appearance even though he's an old dragon and 80-20 is servant contract which is shen and makoto's pact same with mio and shiki 90/10 is the 10 will have no will they'll be straight up puppet and 100/0 is food, they just eat the power.
I think you missed it, but that young looking kid was the dragon that Sophia "killed". He could understand Makoto because he wasn't speaking common language. You can only speak common language with the Goddess' blessing. To be fair, the holes here are that 1) Sophia can speak common language after cancelling the blessing 2) Makoto can still speak any language despite the blessing being removed, remember, it may seem like a curse, but the ability to speak all languages except common is one hell of a blessing. Of course I haven't read the novel, so maybe I'm misunderstanding something.
The truth is that Lancer and Sofia could avoid all that disaster if it weren't for that they acted like the pretentious jerks that they are. Although it is important to note the small detail that 99% of the people that Makoto meets seem to be assholes by nature ... It is important to mention that the anime compressed things quite a bit, the most important points skipped are: -The story of Rembrandt (Tomoe read his mind) and the presentation of his family. -The Pov of the heroes, since the entire context of the war is built in its scenes from its presentation. -The matter of the forest ogres and their method of execution was not fully shown, which shook Makoto quite a bit. Among other details. Also, you misinterpreted the scene, Sofia never understood what Makoto was saying, his inability to speak to hyumans cannot be "removed", he does not know their language because he does not have the blessing of the goddess (language comes from there). Lancer understood because he is not a hyuman but a dragon, he is one of Tomoe's "brethren" after all (He is the "Blade Dragon").
To be fair they cut out the real reason Lancer and Sofia try and kill him which is because they didn't realize he could speak demon/monster so when they were conversing with each other the revealed "actual plot" however they did believe him when he said he wasn't the goddesses minion when he explained himself however that meant that he understood everything they said to each other and then had to kill him to keep the "plot secret"
the MC didnt have any blessing from the start other than understanding all languages other than human thats why he was learning the human language, also the blessing canceling wasnt permanent it was just for that one fight, but again he didnt have any blessings
A lot of people are comparing Makoto to Rimuru. IMO, both of them have the same capabilities and growth rate, but Makoto is definitely holding back. He was afraid that if he killed carelessly, he would lose his humanity when he returned to Earth. In Rimuru's case, he can do whatever he wants because he can't go back.
That girl Sofia the guy with her said his name was lancer but that’s the name of the greater dragon that she supposedly she killed. So I think she actually made a contract with him and didn’t kill him that’s why he yelled when he cut the sword.
Remember the ring that exploded in Makoto's realm was smothered by the Arachne and had Fragment's barrier to contain the blast so Makoto only thinks that's how powerful his rings explosions are. He doesn't yet realise he's made a lake.

Lancer / Mitsurugi / Boy Scout isnt human. Tomoe said the Dragon that was killed was named "Lancer" meaning Sophia "Killed" Lancer aka "Made Lancer her Servant" like Makoto did with Shin. Thats why he can understand him. Meanwhile Sophia cant understand him because shes human. He never had a goddess blessing, he had a curse. Lancer even says "Hes cursed by the goddess" this ep.
So the curse they were talking about was they thought he was cursed by a seal thing type that lowered his power and when they broke the goddes he got stronger and the goddes blessing is... could be a spoiler so ye...
The thing is, this story has one Main MC (our boi) and 2 sub MCs who are the heroes. They were summoned by the Goddess after she threw Makoto to edge of the World. The studio purposely choose to not show them because they wanted to focus on our boi's side more. All of the War stuff we got squeezed in at the end? That was all on the 2 heroes sides and is a good chunk of world building that's missing from the Anime. If Season 2 comes around, they will focus on those 2 and why they are here before going back to Makoto. Otherwise the story will fall apart.
This isn´t an spoiler, just remember, he's curse is that he cannot talk with humans but he can talk with literally every other creature, the kid its a Dragon, he can understand him, she doesn´t
Nah don't feel bad for those scumbags, she's supposed to be a hero, she pretended to kill the dragon/Mitsurugi and now she's siding with demons, AND they tried to kill him when he was just talking to them and saying there wasn't a reason to fight. They deserve much worse and I hope they get it in S2.
demons are the creature horned humanoids. They were trying to enlist the demi-humans the same demons in the wasteland near Shin's altar gate using Shin to scare the Orcs. Also another demon trying to enlist the ogres. The one that the Lynch killed befor being defeated by Makoto....

The Dragonslayer lady couldn't understand him, but her partner, the Dragon could still understand him, since he isn't human and can speak other languages than just the Human language. The MC only studied to learn the Common Language, since Emma knew enough to teach him, but the 'Gift' of the Goddess actually prevents him from speaking the Human language, but not necessarily from understanding it.
Yeah, they should've gone with 24 episodes instead of 2x 12. The pacing probably would've been better and more consistent. Though maybe they want the animation to be polished, thus creating a break in-between the series... (So that it won't look rushed like some parts of Kumo desu ga)
Did they change up the story? In the manga you got to see what was going on in the human kingdoms and their war way before Makoto got teleported to the battlefield to fight the sword chick. Like that human hero arc seems to have been cut unless they want to show it next season.
that little guy name Mitsurugi is not a human he is a dragon that why he can understand what makoto say and that why the dragon slayer says "did you understand him" it because the god didn't give makoto a blessing but she give him just a skill to understand all language expect human so that rings didn't works at all to makoto
nah that special ring to nullify the goddess' blessing is temporary, thats why they're kind of disposable magic items created by the demons against the heroes.

Awesome reaction guys, loving it and looking forward to season 2. I'll help you guys with the hype, no spoilers just info: At 20:00 you were talking about the bug (goddess) gangsta move. Don't forget, way back in episode 1, Makoto was supposed to be the ONLY hero summoned. The bug snagged 2 more heroes in the process when the god Tsukiomi was going through the transport paperwork with Makoto. Before Tsukiomi disappeared he was not happy about that and asked Makoto to look after them if they meet. I bring this up because the anime skipped the 2 heroes but they have to bring them into the story in the next season because of future content. Hope that helps with the theory crafting.
The only solution would have been to make it 24 episodes, but it might not have looked as good and a second season might not have been as likely. Honestly I loved everything they did show, and I can only hope the war storyline is as compelling next season.
The thing about those two being able to understand Makoto after he got stripped (temporarily) of the one single blessing the Goddess give him is probably something I like to call... a plot hole. Of course it could also be because of his contract with Tomoe, just like she can understand Japanese 'cuz of the contract maybe Makoto can talk to other Dragons and be understood. After all Sofia still didn't understand him. Plus to give you an idea how much stuff has been left out (and because now it wont be a spoiler) when Makoto was falling to his... painfully bruising landing? the god Tsukuyomi stopped his fall temporarily, to give him a pep talk and all that, Tsukuyomi ALSO told him at that time that the Goddess took two other people from his world (without permission) and asked Makoto to keep an eye out for them and help them if needed. Pretty damn important plot point (especially now) don't ya think?!? I mean a lot of stuff was just little things but still... at least it looks like they'll cover the important stuff next (half) season.
The understanding him wasn’t really a plot hole. Remember he was ‘blessed’ (or whatever you want to call it) by the goddess to have everything but hyumans understand him. Sofia didn’t understand him and Lancer did (Lancer isn’t a hyuman but a dragon) so it all checks out

Ok, for those who are just coming across this reaction video like me. Our hero Musumi, already had some power but, it was constrained on Earth. Remember, his parents are from his Iseki world. Then he was blessed by the Japanese god Tsukuyomi. He only got language skills from the goddess.
mc could've killed them easily but he held back. even against his first encounter with MiO in her spider form he was holding back tremendously which is why she beat him. tomoe said if he fought MiO at full power he would've destroyed the demi plane. That was before he started using those breathing techniques to increase his power. the fact that MiO took on human form after making the contract with him proved that mc was alot stronger than her because the contactors will only take on the form of the stronger one of the two contractors. also MiO and tomoes levels are way higher than that dragon slayer girl with the big sword. they mentioned her level in the earlier episodes when tomoe and mc went to the guild with MiO. they mentioned that the dragon slayer girl in this episode was level 920 and she was the strongest adventurer in the world prior to MiO and tomoe joining the guild. tomoes level is 1340 and mios is 1500. either of them would've bodied that dragon slayer chick. the only reason they did well against mc was because he was holding back a bunch just like he did when he fought MiO.
I just want to say, but makoto has no idea how to use his mana that is the size of an ocean, That's why makoto always wears his rings to hide his power and to hide from the goddes, because they see him as a threat. If makoto learns how to use his mana he could've clap this two.
I will say I am disappointed that the anime does not play up how INTENSELY Makoto underestimates the unfathomable power he wields. Also, that last attack started tiny, just a water infused arrow for freezing. By the time he goes through the gate to the demiplane, the arrow starts to from into a giant spear, right after it makes a small hole in the clouds. Anime looked great, bit they could have stuck 100% to the written stuff for that scene.
its hard to find fault how they should condense or which one to cut while optimal choice should be 24 eps. The animation honestly is way better than my expectation and its just the pacing that a bit problematic. Even in the earlier episode, there is alot of things that just glossed over that leave room for confusion.I thought its fine since there is only 12 episode but seeing how rushed the ending is, 12 just doesnt cut it. Hoped they do this series justice and explain skipped content in 2nd season but compare to arifureta who suffer from both pace and animation, moonlight is way better.
The goddess never gave him a blessing just the ability translate any language other than humans, because he supposed to be ugly. You can't speak language that goddess blessing.
so many key information has been deleted in anime that should be able to give context on whats happening currently. And so many misleading info, storywise this anime is good but they rushed it. This is literally the reverse opposite of slime on how they adapt the anime hahahaha.

I just want to let you guys know since you like isekai there's a new one out that just dropped today call the world's greatest assassin, ( sekai saikou no ansatsusha ) and the first episode was a banger and for once the person who is isekai is not a hero
When I read the battle in this episode.. in the manga. when there were just like 4 episodes out. The battle felt more impactful in the manga in my opinion. It is partly because the anime is kinda rushed and skip a lot of information in dialogue. Ofc I was still happy that my favorite part from the manga was animated and really happy that you guys reacted to the series. I wouldn't say this is my favorite anime but this is one of my favorite mangas for sure.

Oh a fellow web novel reader ! The anime isn't bad, i really like the colors and the style they gave it, but it skip way too much story. They even removed rembrand's flashback, wich is essential to understand the character.
About Sentence structures in Japanese, they are very similar to sentences in Indian languages, which have a different structure than English sentences.
