At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Outstanding ideas. :D As a citizen of a country that produces a _lot_ of waste, I hope that these systems get employed here in America and in the rest of the world. Things _have to_ change and they have to change _soon_. We can't live the way we do much longer. Using our waste as a resource and cutting our environmental footprint to zero is going to be hard but it's going to be necessary (among other changes, mind you) if we want to be living in something other than a wasteland at the end of this century.

A world class vision for the future, especially given where this vision is emerging! And as all visions its fulfillment lies not in the technical details but in the the human beings who must come together.
