Here is one of six Bridgeport Rangers that Waste Management took ahold of through the Benz Sanitation acquisition. Oddly enough only two of these older Autocars were ever actually repainted into WM colors, while their other two Autocar Bridgeports and newer Mack LR Bridgeport remain in Benz blue and their Volvo VNM Bridgeport retains its dealer wrap. Given that Bridgeports are quite uncommon in the WM fleet I had been wanting to track down one of these repainted ones for quite some time, which ended up being rather difficult because a lot of the trucks in the WM Kern County fleet circulate between their 4 yards so there’s no telling where one might be on any given day. We finally managed to find this one handling trash in California City one morning.
