Effluent Discharge or Reuse: The treated water, known as effluent, is then discharged into nearby water bodies, such as rivers or oceans, where it can safely mix with natural water sources. Sludge Treatment: Throughout the treatment process, solid materials and sludge are generated and separated from the wastewater.
