Ep 4 is my favourite, I shared the same frustrations with this ep! I love how you play this game with so much empathy and understanding, most playthroughs don't really care to understand why Daniel acts the way he does, or how his choices will impact him. Love seeing articulate decisions

I think it’s really interesting that this episode and the previous demonstrate how Sean and Daniel thrive in different environments. Daniel did a lot better in Beaver Creek with his grandparents, because he’s a kid and it was a stable safe environment where he could be around someone his own age. Sean in contrast was pretty bored and lonely there. But here, despite the rough aspects of it, he fits in with these people. He really bonds with them and - as the choices given allow you to do - he becomes more himself here. But Daniel doesn’t do as well, being the only little kid who still has to behave like an adult.

This is my favorite episode in the game. It depicts Sean's desire for more freedom and Daniel's desire for a more normal life. I wish this game had more options with spending money as well as a variation where the heist went off without a hitch.

When I finished this episode when it came out, I had a lot of mixed feelings and was also just in a state of shock. After all they went through especially Sean, this small community they joined in was a breath of fresh air for him since he's with people with similar woes and he felt connected to them. I kinda treated it as a parallel to episode 2 where Daniel was able to make connections with his grandparents, a neighborhood kid that's the same age as him and albeit briefly even Mushroom (dog) while Sean takes more of a backseat. In this episode, Sean gets that much needed peace while still thinking of his brother's welfare and well being. But unfortunately, Daniel didn't see it that way and given the environment that he was in, he was easily influenced by people around him for the better or for worse. This kinda cemented why I enjoyed the LIS franchise as a whole. As a middle sibling, I saw myself in both position as an older brother but also a younger brother to my older siblings. It's such a relatable feeling to get envious when our older sibling who was big part of our world/life suddenly takes a step back and enjoys on their own. While the intention wasn't there, it does sting being ignored and I personally learned this more as I grow older myself. I appreciate the commentary Kasta and I hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes

Just found your channel and I am loving your thumbnails and the way you play this game. LIS2 is by far my favorite of the LIS series.

I think one of the things that's really interesting about this game is present in you talking about the frustration you feel. Not frustration at the writing, as you said, but the circumstances. And I think that's very intentional. Think back to the first episode, when Hank accuses you of stealing. The point of that isn't just whether or not you steal (though of course that does effect Daniel) but that *you will be accused of stealing no matter what*. Because even if you play by the rules, even if you do as you have been trying to in this playthrough, and try to be honest and teach Daniel to make good choices, the world doesn't play by those same rules that it expects you to follow.

1:10:25 You could tell by Daniel's demeanor when Sean greats him, where things are headed. A nine year old given the choice between hanging with someone that lets them do whatever they want. Opposed to someone laying down the rules. It's pretty much a no brainer what they will choose lol.

Wanted to add in on the saving up for a trip part, ye younger me(swede) wanted to go to the US so bad. But sadly traveling within europe is cheaper and quicker(flighttime) so often took precedence. And the older i've gotten the less i want to go to america. Mostly due the "american dream" we were sold here via movies and tv shows is quickly shattered by reality. I still want to go, but i won't spend a 4-5k+ $ savings for staying barely 2 weeks. If/when i visit i want to visit several states and several locations, which as you can imagine makes it increasingly expensive. Heck it's even expensive for you ppl in the US to travel across state lines at times for a vacation. Imagine that but then wanting to visit more than 1 state from europe to us. Us europe peeps tend to be abit spoiled in those regards, due europe is much smaller and prices in each country varies wildly. So in some countries you can live rather well with 1k budget for a month and see tons of fun stuff, others 1k is basically the ticket and hotel and food. But it's why you often hear ppl saying they love traveling across europe. So much to see, but also cheaper and shorter distance to travel. And in many cases better ways to travel via train or buss. Not having to always fly is a big plus. That said most eu countries first goal of travel when asked is usualy US. But often leaves disapointed due how expensive it is and how hard it is to "see everything" within a given state. Due most states is larger than most eu countries.

why is this women so fine?

For some reason I could not stand Cassidy during my playthrough. In my mind, she was an adult, and since Sean is 16, I saw her as creepy, not cute lol. I refused to do anything with her. Said no to the tattoo, no to skinny dipping, and no to going in her tent. I think when she mentioned going to the lake, i said "ew no" to myself outloud lol. I also had drawn Finn instead of her too. I am so glad I didn't entertain Cassidy bc that whole romantic scenario (including after the sex) was horrid to me. Anyone else felt the same or am I the only one? Lol

Making good decisions isn’t boring gameplay. One thing I appreciate is that she thinks her decisions through and talks about why she’s making the decision. Making foolish choices doesn’t make the gameplay more interesting, it actually makes it more frustrating to watch in my opinion lol and I appreciate her for making decisions because she wants to make sure Sean remains a good influence in him. It’s also important to figure out when it’s necessary to use Daniel’s power and when to deal with an issue without it because using it often will make Daniel use it anytime a problem occurs instead of dealing with it head on the way normal humans have to do. In this case I think you got the best outcome you could’ve gotten given the choices you made so that was good.

I dont know if someone is gonna read this but im a big brother of my two little sister and i always been there for them until i was around the age of Sean i was not the worst but i was really in my tennage buble and one of my sister was always on my back cause she wanted to play with me and i was always saying No i started to realise older that she just needed to pass some time with his brother and that i was a douche so i started to say yes almost everytime she asked me to play cause i didnt wanna make her sad and not too long ago my sister die she was healty and the day after coma and 3 day after it was too late. She was 11 years old so life is strange 2 is a special game for me cause it reminds me of my relation with my sister and i love her more than anything so yeah sorry if this is bad english is not my first language and i hope you have a good life take care of your sibling for me ❤❤❤

The best episode in my opinion

oof the flashback scene always makes me feel guilty as an older sibling myself who wasn't always the most charitable towards my little brother. You can't go back in time, but it's never too late to remind your siblings you appreciate them!

One of my favourite scenes in this game is when you choose to cut your hair instead of ponder to Daniel. The difference isn't huge in outcome for the episode, but Sean having his sick Mohawk is so cool and the conversations are awesome at the fireplace during the cut, plus some great humor.

The look on your face when Daniel pulls the tree out of the lake 😅 The midnight swim is probably one of my favorite romance scenes in gaming. The ending is also really strong. And the "derpy" wolf tattoo? Adorable

Daniel THINKS he has control over his power...but anger and jealousy make him lose control. he is begin to prefer Finn over Sean and dislikes Cassidy which is a misguided view...he is jealous of the time sean spends with other people just like he expressed in the flashback. problem is now when he gets emotional it is harder for him to control his power...and sooner or later that is going to be a problem...

1:17:12 You don't lose any points with Cassidy if you do nothing. In fact the opposite is true, you lose a point. She becomes somewhat annoyed if you intervene.😅

@3:24:34 there is 2 more episodes maybe because mexico isn't the final destination, there is that mother thing, too. @3:26:30 i was certain you didn't have control on the upcoming events, it's more about dealing with relationship more than influence upwoming "robbery", cause HE decided (not finn) he was about to do it. there were no turning back so advanced in that plan, with all the risks taken to reach that point.

how many chapters will you be a fugitive? we knows it's not your style to run away from the police like that! i like the way you can purchase chapters individually, and giving 5 or 25 to the devs according on how much you loved the experience enough to fund several chapters.

characters are continuously talking, it's a trend that i'm not a very big fan of.

you played very wisely on chapter 2 but you were definitely not aware of the disctration finn set for you in case you leave daniel from a blink of an eye. having sex with cassidy at this precise moment wasn't the right move. sean is young, he will meet thousand nice women in his life, but at this moment his priorities in my opinion should have been daniel, to face responsabilities. i know he had a crush on this woman, but life is hard, especially where you have a kid you're responsible for. if you're a parent, kid are always more important than your own person. it's unfortunate but it's the way it is. this cassidy disagree to come with sean on his journey, and it was obviously nothing more than a one night stand. so this girl wasn't important.

FUN FACT: At 2:38:05, I got my username/online alias. When I first played this game, I played it right when the last episode was released in 2019 on Christmas Eve. I finished the game at 5am. after playing all afternoon. When I got to this part I always imagined myself as a 'lone wolf' dude. When I read this in the journal I became obsessed at how cool the pun was and decided that starting 2020 I would be named Swearwolf. Kept the name since, and always get 'What We Do In The Shadows' comments lmao. Unfortunately, 'Swearwolf' was taken in lots of cases.

This episode is so good. Its so powerful and i think the true turining point in the story. Love you empathy and thought process behind your decisions. Ive played Lis and watched so many playthroughs and yours is by far my favorite, you have me stop and think of thinhys i didnt before. Amazingly stunning and frustrating episode, and its like that no matter what you choose sp dont fret.

There are no perfect decisions in Life (is Strange), especially if youre on the run. What did you expect Maggie? If you look at it cynically, only being egoistic gets you somewhere.

about 1h40min in, i'm glad to see you liking cassidy as much as i. I'm slightly biased tho as she's nearly 101 of my first gf. We sadly grew apart so no bad blod between us. Just rings nostalgia for me.

She says "boring vid" but i enjoy it! Maybe could cut out some of the twnt minute walking for collectables and just show us her finding them but i like hearing her thoughts on why she picked one major decision over the other, get to know her a littlw better

It's interesting seeing a playthrough siding with Cassidy. I believe the first time I played this episode I chose Cass. But since then whenever id replay this game I have chosen Finn. Honestly I feel he's a better fit. It's nice to see Cass's side again though.

the begining flashback when you are sean back home is probably the most important part; blood is blood...daniel may be a brat but so was Sean...Sean has to priortise his responsiblity for Daniel...that goes double now that his dad is gone and that daniel has this power.

I love how Kasta and I had the exact same look upon the wolf tattoo reveal. It's like the face you make when you eat a nasty vegetable but you're telling yourself it's good for you LOL.

i don't think your decisions would have made a big differences. because the ending has to be the climax to make you purchase the following episode ^^ don't forget you're playing a fugitive, not a good samaritan! stop blaming yourself there is no hundred different possible endings, otherwide there should be hundred different versions of episode 4 😂
