Wastewater: Where does it go? 

I live in Australia and I had no idea that my sewer went to the Detroit River

They should teach this in schools

I worked at a wastewater treatment plant for 25 years. I can say honestly I had a shifty job! But I also say damn proud to help clean water

Yooo Detroit's wastewater treatment process is amazing. Chemical treatment of wastewater is so common in the US that I didn't even know there were good alternatives in use anywhere here.

This should be taught early in school! A random conscious acknowledgement of my running water while I was brushing my teeth brought me here.

Please don't dump cooking oil down the drain!

My grandpa is the president of the water district in Ranger/Eastland, Texas, walked me through the plant and taught he how everything works. It's pretty cool

The guy at the sewer plant told us when they got through with the 💩 water it was cleaner than the river they send it into. We told him to drink some. He wouldn’t.

The stuff they are saying you shouldn't do is COMMON SENCE. There really are way to many uneducated people in this world and also people that generally just don't care.. Sad world we live in and is the reason the world is in the state its it.

Filipinos should watch this and pay attention to the problem of sewage system in our country.. After watching reporters notebook (documentary about the problem of sewage system) I became more aware and curious on how this problem should be handled..

I always had this concern about waste water. Water just wonderful element that amazed me. Thanks to those who care about it.

I really appreciate this video but am disappointed that Nestle is advertising their water before this video. In Ontario, Nestle is taking its waters from our water source, bottling it and selling it. Since it takes about 3 times as much water to make a water bottle as what the bottle holds, making plastic bottles is a poor use of our water resources. This is in addition to the fact that many of those bottles end up requiring even more energy to be recycled/cleaned out of waterways/or take up space in landfills.

In the UK all drains are separated as it is illegal to have stormwater ajd wastewater in the same sewer as are sewers.

This was my homework twice this year.

Damn the Detroit river!

Rain barrel got me in trouble.. not allowed to collect rainwater even to help relieve storm drains.

I wish when I was in school our field trips where to take us here to these plants, instead of a picnic to the park and such. I this if schools would do that, this world would be a better place
