The prosecution admitted that they have placed the wrong folders in the wrong pieces of evidence. she did absolutely the right thing and I don’t know why your panties are in a twist because of her insistence on justice.

Unfortunately, Federal judges can be removed from the bench only by impeachment in the House and conviction (by a 2/3 majority) in the Senate. And we all know only too well that (most) Republicans would never vote to convict a Trump-appointed judge, no matter how corrupt she is.

@@jollymycology6391 You can't put him because we don't do those types of things in the United States. Everybody deserves a trial of their peers, even Trump. Putting somebody in jail just because without a fair trial is the kind of thing they do in North Korea, China, and Russia. Being like those countries is not worth putting Trump in jail over. People that are counting on him to lose because he has been convicted in court, why? Isn't him saying that he wants to be a dictator, suspend the Constitution, locking children in cages, using the military in the United State, which happens to be very illegal, enough for you to vote against him in the election? Should we want the courts to do our job for us and cause him to lose?

It's a case of who has the authority to do so, as you realize. So the various criminal charges go before the courts. If a judge in charge of a court is corrupt, the country needs to know how to, as you say, "put an end to this criminal behaviour". What are the choices, given the laws that govern the land? There are times when a democracy might function better if it were actually a "benevolent dictatorship". (Not that I'm suggesting it!) Democracy is hard, particularly in our time, when "good" and "truth" are considered relative terms. Of course they are absolutes, but our present culture has decided that each individual has a right to determine what "good" and "truth" are. Look at how many people are parroting the idea that you have "your truth" and I have "my truth" and we are each to honour our own decision about what that represents. That's how Trump is able to declare that the criminal insurrectionists in jail are actually "patriots". He just makes up his own truth. He and his followers do not seem to recognize there will be a Day of Reckoning, which is getting ever closer. It will not be political. If he had any idea what's in the bible that he promotes for $60, he would know that he and all other liars are on a short rope. Let us hope their lives get turned around. The two opposites are not reconcilable. Because this terrible tension is going to go on until the Prince of Peace comes. (If you long for the good old days, when most people knew the difference between Right and Wrong, and they knew they would be punished for wrong-doing--so do I!) Who can you count on anymore? The clergy? (not as a group, but there are still some great teachers online here, I'm thankful.) Police? (Again, not as a group. They are following their individual inclinations and in many cases get confused over what's wrong.) Judges? (Obviously there are some who are really trying, but they are bending over backwards to give Donald Trump a "fair" trial and in so doing, enabling him to stay out of prison, avoid accountability, and potentially (UGH!) win an election. Your SCOTUS? One could wish, but they seem to be a biased group unable to determine right from wrong. We realize we have entered a new era of human history where the United States, the super-power, has been overtaken by lying and deception. It cannot rid itself of this evil, even if the coming election has a desirable outcome. Evil has taken up residence, furthered by the man Donald Trump and his minion followers and enablers. So I will just go a little further, here. I believe the US is coming to an end of its super-power status. Particularly once Europe unites into a strong unit. Donald Trump will have set the stage, and his enablers and election donors went right along with it.

I think that by "everyday Americans" Jeffries means law-abiding, hard-working Americans.
