17-year old Tess is travelling to London to keep a very special appointment. Her father, a nuclear scientist working for Y-Bana, an Arab state, has returned to England for a short visit and they plan to spend the time together. Dr Gerald Buscombe and Tess check into a hotel - and he is given the ominously-numbered Room 13. The following morning not only he, but the room itself have disappeared. As Tess searches frantically in a suddenly-hostile world where no-one will admit to having seen her with her father, a sinister web of intrigue unfolds. Why has Buscombe disappeared? What dark secrets of Y-Bana are contained in the mysterious Passenetti file? And why are the Y-Banians so anxious to suppress it? FINAL EPISODE

Thank you so much for uploading this! What a fantastic serial! I'm amazed it's fallen into obscurity. I watched loads of teen dramas between 1977 and '85 but for some reason I don't recall this one at all... It may have been written for teenagers but many of the scenes - particularly the interrogation ones - would easily have suited a more adult audience. But back then us "kids" were often treated to much "tougher" fare than today's TV output.

Thank you for this. It's such a pleasure to see these wonderful programmes that I missed first time round. They tower above the dross that's being served up to us now. The lead actress plays her part so well.

Well...the end was anticlimactic, stupid and very disappointing. Sorry I wasted my time watching 6 and and seven eights episodes for a stupid ending.

Thank you so much for uploading this. I was 7 when it first aired and it was absolutely enthralling. I had the book copy which unfortunately got lost in a move. But I read it several times. To see it again after over forty years later has been wonderful. It still stands up well as a drama and the cast are excellent particularly Lucinda Bateson's Tess. Thank you again. Now, does anyone remember Barriers? Also shown on ITV.

I remember watching the 1st episode of this as a 9yr old and it's stayed lodged in my brain ever since. I couldn't remember the name of it despite searching for it numerous times over the last 20yrs of the internet. I finally found the book last year, and now I have the whole series! Thank you for uploading it! Where did you find it?

And everyone lived happily ever after - apart from wotsername from the hotel who got abducted a few episodes ago & was never seen again. Hope she's ok!
