@@bernabex2fasting is most definitely starving yourself, you're 100% right by your statement. But the difference lies in the purpose and programming. Fasting is intentional, with time limits, and eventually has an end date. Foods eaten within the eating period have to be intentional. Whereas the other side of the spectrum is an unhealthy relationship with food. Thinking that food is the enemy and abstaining yourself from it and calling it fasting is not purposeful.

Excess glucose is stored as fat, as such avoid all carbohydrates because they become sugars, avoid all types of sugars, fast foods and junk foods. Is that easy to avoid heart problems, obesity, diabetes and cancers.

eating disorders are in part due to junk food. these foods are engineered to hack ur brain. it's similar to cigarette addiction. millions of dollars have been spent on creating the perfect food item that's palatable and tasty and makes u craving for more. realizing this alone will help a lot. slowly reduce junk food is a good start

If you struggle losing weight, fast.. for several days. Then break your fast with bone broth (no, it wont seem satisfying, but thats ok). Then some time later drink your favorite flavor of kombucha. Then a little bit later, eat some eggs fried in coconut oil. Listen to your body. Don't overeat, especially after fasting. If you want more food, you can always have a little bit more after a little bit of time passes. Let food always satisfy you, not overwhelm you. Eat organic only.

@cherylween4973 Well, if you fast for 2 or 3 days, yeah, that's probably true. But extended fasts, which is what I was actually talking about, that isn't true. Unless it is true, which is why I was asking you where you're coming from on that. To clarify, if you're saying somebody breaks their 25-day water fast, and they don't need to break it with bone broth and then eggs, from my experience and understanding, that's wildly false. But I'm open to being wrong if you explain yourself.

It depends on the exercise. It usually is not possible to exercise two hundred more calories than the amount you have eaten in a day. You would spend half the day exercising. You can try high intensity interval training and burn a lot of calories but your body risks more injuries that way. Over the course of our lives, we gain about 2-3 lbs a year. Do not make your health about a number on a scale, but about your overall wellbeing. If you are skinny and miserable from stress, it is worse than having an extra 5-10 lbs on your body. If you are happy but obese, you risk many diseases threatening that happiness. Get out into the sunlight. Choose a side salad instead of fries. See your doctor once a year.

You would think the opposite as a coping mechanism with less food. With less food the body should store what it can for future exertion potentials. With more food it knows you found a source of food which doesn’t find the need to store at that time. Thoughts? Just an observation

Calorie deficit is only a short term way to move your set point. Can take years to do this and only if you stick to it. If you go back to eating more calories you'll gain it back twice as much and twice as fast as a survival mechanism. The calories are irrelevant, its whether or not you create to much insulin.

The animation at the end of the clip made it seem like the goal should be zero bodyfat. That's just not possible. The body needs a certain level of body fat percentage to survive. Somewhere around 5% to 10% is absolute minimum for most people, I'd say. But i don't think anyone could sustain that over time. If a man manages to keep around 15% he should be super happy with that. For women it's higher.

I was cutting calories to 2000 per day and weight was slowly coming off. I recently switched to 2 meals a day of meat cheese bacon eggs and vegetables alot of butter, olive oil and mayonnaise these meals were well over 2000 calories. The weight now is melting very fast. I think it's all to do with insulin being low

Do the math first. Find out how many cal/day you need based on sex, age and activity levels. From there, just cut out 200-400 calories daily. I used an app to keep track, it’s pretty simple 👍🏽 good luck
