First off great review, very professional and it covers many good points. HOWEVER. The battery life on these is perfectly fine, not the best but also not terrible which is how you described them in your review. I got 5.5 hours with transparency mode on the whole time, 75% volume. For anyone on the fence due to battery life concerns, they do in fact get standard battery life, nothing to write home about but also not trash, which is what 3.5 hours would be.
I own these earbuds and have found that the battery actually lasts a long time, and i work in cold temperatures and that barely affects the battery life
I had a much different experience with battery. I consistently get 5-6 hours (5 hr 46 min avg) with ANC on. I tested this with two sets of LA2P. Might be worth trying a second set or exchanging these. I know that’s adding more work so no need to listen to me.😂 A creator’s life is already busy enough. Either way, awesome work Mark!
@@mikeevans7381 I’ve seen them. To be clear, I’m not saying Mark is lying. I’m glad he is bringing this up. I’m only saying user experience may vary. That is why I shared my results as well.
These have really good range, I work in a store and have to walk from one end to the other, it can go over 100 feet and still not bug out, or buffer. I upgraded these from the Soundcore life note and I can definitely tell the difference :)) I definitely recommend these headphones
I'm genuinely surprised by this review. In the past year I've tried the Boltune BH020, Soundpeats Truengine 3, Tronsmart Apollo Bold and these. The sound quality wipes the floor with all of them. The EQ part of the app is fantastic and I've found ideal settings for genres from Drum and Bass to Folk. The transparency mode is marginally better on the Tronsmart as are the touch controls. The app really helps take these to the next level. I'm very happy with mine and highly recommend them.
I've had the liberty air 2's for over a year now and fell in love with them after trying many other brands and types. So I bought these considering they are a newer version and I like them but honestly I could have just stuck with my liberty airs. And yes I agree I could have done without the new type of charging case it seems less durable. And both cases have wireless charging.
I got the original Liberty Air 2s for christmas and to begin with, I was bumped when these were announced after New Years. But the more reviews I watch on the Liberty Air 2 Pros, the happier I become with my buds 😅 Noise cancelling isn't a needed feature for me in earbuds anyways, for that I use my Sonys, so I am really happy for my buds!
Hi Mark, glad your head is back in the game. Could you see if your Q30's noise cancelling mode has the same problem as mine ? I am hearing amplified wind noise. So I am guessing the external mics are susceptible to wind noise and passing this through to the drivers. All the best.
also for anyone still interested, the EQ shift issue when switching to ANC or transparency mode no longer exists, they fixed it with a firmware update.
@@mightmave those are the exactly ones I purchased. I love them so far, no complaints. I'm coming from jlab anc and they just amplified your surroundings so much that it made the person on the other end of the phone have a hard time hearing you over the background noise.
@@victorstark8993 hey Victor I'm really not sure about the Galaxy buds but I'd say if you can get these at a good price, go for it. At the time I got mine for 50 and I have no regrets. I really like the pebble style case, sleekness of the year buds and all the options you get in the intuitive app
Great review! I'm looking for a earbuds and these are one of my possibilities. However besides confort/fit for workouts, one of my priorities is call experience, especially not having that feeling of being speaking "under water" when using both earbuds. Can you tell me if the ambient mode does the trick and/or some options that my "save me" from that feeling? Many thanks!
Great review. However, I would disagree with you that the call quality on these is better than the originals. I noticed quite a bit of fading in and out on your test of these over the originals. Good to hear you again, though. I would say good to see you, but I doubt you'd believe a blind person on that score. :)
can you review the Status Audio Between Pro please, because I enjoy your honest and detailed reviews and I have wondered how good are 3 dynamic drivers inside an Earbud
The battery life makes no sense especially from Anchor. I'm seeing a lot of complaints on Amazon about these sooo I think after watching your content I'll sit back for awhile. Thanks Mark.🤔🇺🇲👍 And I also want to say that your problems with these buds is absolutely legit Soundcore can do better.😎
Me personally would not call them "Budget " headphones because it is cost £130. Definitely can find more expensive headphones on the market, but the "Budget" to me means my Taotronics Sound Liberty 79 which is cost only £33, and for the money tat is still a WOW!. Not sound as good as the Soundcore ones, but sounds good. Not amazing, but good. So that is a budget. :D I was thinking about to buy the Liberty Air 2 pros, but I think I am waiting for Anker's next earphone product.
Sir please please please please help me choose between soundcore life dot 2 nc and soundcore liberty 2.. Main target is clarity of calling both indoor and outdoors.. Please reply me soon
I have a problem with the liberty air 2 pro, when connecting with the Ldac codec it does not provide any sound, the firmware is up to date, any solution?
Dude , thank you for the good review >> I really like your videos but want to ask , would you prefer it over Huawei freebuds pro in Sound quality , mic and ANC function ??
Although I listened to the video.....the bouncing logo in the back is what caught my attention. I spent the entire video having an anxiety attack waiting on it to hit the corner of the screen 😂😂 great video
The worst thing about it for me is the big difference of sound signature between the normal mode and nc mode. How can you not manage to make them equals?
How would you compare the Huawei Freebirds 3 - with a 14mm driver.. the sound signature by what I understand is the best I've heard. Can you do a review on it pls
I’m having a problem with mine when I’m working out and listening to music it cut off and on. When I emailed sound they said that they can’t help me that is really disappointing
Good video… the one thing I’ll never get over about these reviews though, is that when people praise a product, it becomes biased, but when the presenter states a negative quality, it’s a personal preference? I don’t think people shop for specifics to a certain extent, but when the tws market is absolutely flooded with product, it will be a matter of price point with overall features. Even mega-tech giants like Apple can’t compete with the audio market, so they rely on style and design instead for their products, which is a big mistake for audio enthusiasts and amateur audiophiles. Anyway, it’s a good effort on your part, don’t get me wrong, but I’d like to see more generalized informational videos, rather than opinion videos on products. That way, consumers will be more informed about products, rather than biased. Keep your head up, and have a good day.
This is my first outing with your channel, and I am well pleased. Coherent, instructive, informative, especially for a layperson like myself. I appreciated your candour and your considered opinions. Will be back for more... until you blow it. ;-)
I got a pair of these like 4 months ago. And since the beginning, whenever i use noise-canceling, i can hear, like the sound of an electrical-signal interference. It is always present, but depending on the volume of what i am listening to, it is not always noticeable, but usually it is.
Hi! I really like your honest review. I did know that the soundstage changes (thanks to you, but still decided to buy it) when I bought this pair of headset. I'm happy to say that they fix this issue. It's works like a charm know.
Hi bro, I love your earphone and earbuds review, but you need to add the following points in your review without which I feel it is not complete. 1. PLEASE TALK ABOUT MULTIPOINT and other cool features, I feel that is a must in all future earbuds and cannot go back from it. 2. Compare the sound quality with AirPods pro or xm4 in-ear just to get a feel of how it compares to the top sounding buds out there. 3. WHen talking about active noise cancellation, just let us know if you can hear the outer noise when you go for a run. That is the maximum use for me at least :p
I've just bought a pair of these and am quite disapppinted with the sound quality. The only earphones I've had before these were Apple Earpods(the basic wired earphones of Apple), and these Liverty Air 2 Pro are my first bluetooth earphones and they sound noticeably worse than Earpods. I did expect wireless earphones to be a bit worse than wired ones when it comes to sound quality but considering Earpods just cost around $20, I'm quite shocked how underwhelming the Liverty Air 2 Pro are. Will the high end wireless earbuds above $200 at least sound better than Earpods, or is this just a limitaion of wireless earphones in general that one has to accept?
Great vid mate, was thinking about these and everyone is raving about them, you just saved me from spending on these. Will stick to the liberty air two's and the pro two's.
Anecdotally, I did not have the battery problems you're having. I return them because there was only four touch controls available. I didn't rigorously test it of course. Is this consistent with the battery life others get?
The one more dual drivers with THX certification go on sale for under 1:30 sometimes. That would be a decent option too. Although that doesn't have great battery life it has everything else.
these things sound INSANELY GOOD... I'm only using them straight from the Android phone audio (not the soundcore app... my phone is so full of other apps & files that I didn't have enough memory to install it), so I just use them on a basic, stock level ( THEY STILL WORK FINE WITHOUT DOWNLOADING THE SOUNDCORE APP!!! it's not entirely necessary)... I use my default music player's EQ to pick a general setting that I like ( which controls all audio output (music player, RU-vid videos, etc.) to these (or if I were to use line output wired headphones) & they sound AMAZING!!!! heavy, loud, crystal clear... & I listen to a lot of my music VERY LOUD!!.... they sound great!... seems like with continuous use from start to finish, I probably get about 4 solid hours of playback use... again, very loud! & crystal clear... once in a while some issues with connectivity, but usually easily solved & that may be just my phone running super low on memory/RAM...
@@Pamven Yes... the connectivity issues seemed to have stopped now... like I said, i suspect it had to do with my phone's memory almost always getting maxed-out... but overall, Yes!
@@QUIZFILTER No just a would-be consumer 😅 Might get them for when school reopens, I need something lightweight and a decent alternative to the Airpods
I would not say that the static/clicking is as low: it is there with any ANC or transparency with voice passthrough (which is ANC with transparency on certain frequency). I was intending to have these for ANC on and music off, as a way to get some quite time, but with the static, it is quite unpleasent for me - it is only in the left earbud (it is the slave one of the pair, i guess). I wrote to Anker and they did say that the firmware udpate should fix this and that it should come out in March - March is halfway over and still no update. Otherwiste I really like the sound profile. If your ears get dry or you go out in the cold, you might find them not so secure in the ears or not so sealing, but most of the time, the are really nice to listen to. Compare to Liberty 2 Pro, the have little less kick, however ANC and price justifies that for me. The touch control is increadibly fimicky though: I blame me having dry hands, but yea, sometimes double-tap won't work, sometimes tap-and-hold won't. Mic-wise, it is mixed bag, quite enviroment is just fine; loud outside ( and with facemask on) is just noise-canceled all over the place - at least from feedback with people I called. If you don't need ANC on low or no volume or you do not have such sensitive ears, go for them. Otherwise I would wait to the end of the month if the upgrade comes through.
I have small ears so most earbuds don't fit, even though these may have a smaller battery I think having it not fall out every second or not having to hurt my ears stuffing it in, is much better than having to charge it a bit more
Buy these, I did. Very good! I have stopped looking for other buds after I bought these buds. There was no mention of HearId, which adjusts the output of the buds to your individual ears after a short sound test.
