martymcdie88 can you imagine a young Bill Hader watching Happy Days and Future Bill Hader shows up and says one day kid your going to create a show that will win Henry his first Emmy.
The way that Henry looked at Bill as he walked away says it all. It's almost like the relationship between his character Gene and Barry in the show. They genuinely care for each other. Also Henry has to be the most lovable person who ever lived.
zombiezqueen yeah the interviewer was great, he allowed Henry to shine. Even though the environment is rushed they made time for a genuine moment in the end :)

Mr. Winkler deserves this award because he doesnt view this statue as an idol. It is just an award for all of his hard work. Very mature of you Mr. Winkler (And congratulations).
I met Henry once and I will tell you that the way you see him here is exactly the way he really is. Just the nicest, most genuine guy you ever want to meet. And about 4 and a half feet tall. Okay, that was a joke, but he is much shorter than I thought he would be (And Bill Hader is quite tall, which makes this even funnier on the show).
Henry is one of the most likeably, affable and genuine actors in Hollywood, which is known for insincere people. Entertainment is brimming with disingenuous people, while Henry Winkler sets an excellent example of humanity.
Lol Henry is so adorable in a "loving grandpa" sort of way. When he was using his phone at 2:58 you can hear him pressing numbers lol. He didn't even know what was going on with the phone anymore lol 😊😃

He’s such a beautiful person. My son and I were lucky enough to meet him and as a father seeing & hearing the way he treated my son that day he touched my heart.
I’m sure the Barry cast & crew love their job. Respect & kindness come from the top. If you have the humblest, nicest people running the show (Bill Hader & Alec Berg), you get the best & most creative results because everyone just gives their best & beyond.
Yay! If anybody watched "Barry" one great scene for Henry: Barry is quite upset after killing his friend Chris. Barry's in a back room after acting in the final play. Henry comes in, praises Barry on his performance. Barry is in the throes of emotions throwing chairs, etc. Henry finally realizes how serious this is & tries to get out of the room before he gets hit with a chair or something. Look at Henry Winkler's reaction & the bobbing of his head as he's exiting the room. F'in HYSTERICAL! Well deserved award Sir. Well deserved.
@@bobbykirshtein8765 Yessss. That was great acting on Bill Hader's part. This show turned out to be (to me, anyway) the breakout show of the last 5 years. Loved EVERY minute of it. Anthony Carrigan (bald dude) blows me away with anything that comes out of his mouth. Cannot wait for next season. So so glad it was recognized for its excellence.
@@benconnor3206 He really is soooooo talented. He writes, directs, produces & stars on Barry. Actually started crushing on Bill during 1st season. Been watching him for years of course on SNL. Then he left to pursue movies, now this! He's just the bomb diggity in my book. LOL

Henry Winkler is truly nice , I ran into him on paramount lot, I was an extra , just walking to another building & we passed each other , he said hi & gave me a lovely smile , I didn’t realize it was him until about 5 min later , & then was so happy I ran into him again a few hours later again & I said excitedly “ hi, I didn’t realize it was you , , & he smiled & said “ oh you’re so sweet , I’m just Henry , “ he was so sincere & kind
Winkler has been an unexpected highlight of so many shows. I'm so glad he got a second wind this past 20 years. From AD, to Childrens Hospital, to this - hes always a delight.
Such a sweet, genuine, kind human being. I feel bad for his poor wife - hope that break heals quickly. Listen to him - it's all about his co-workers, and his kids, and growing as an actor and person, over the years. Congrats Mr. Winkler - well deserved.
The Fonz. Man, I'm so happy right now. I'm so glad. And he seems like the overly-proud aunt who shows you off at everyone whenever she can, Bill being the shy/nervous nephew. But it's cute. I love this. I love this so much. My heart is warmed, my skin is hydrated, my debts are paid. This is so cute.
I had the pleasure of talking with Henry winkler at a play years ago. He sat behind me and he commented on my jacket i was wearing. We spoke for awhile and he was truly a nice guy all around. I have read many stories about how great a person he is. Well he really really is a nice man!!!!
I just watched this series over the last couple of weeks. Such a strong show. The way it deconstructs morality conflicts makes you care for people who would really be considered unredeemable. All of the key players wanted to get out of the mess their lives had become, but the reality they were a part of and the weaknesses in their own judgements just kept pulling them right back in. I've never felt so sorry for a hitman/serial killer/mass murderer before. They call this a comedy though. I suppose that is meant in the fashion of the Shakespearian comedies. There is really nothing comedic about it. Its funny that way.
something about this guy, so sweet and genuine (pretty funny too).just has this glow they everyone kinda needs in there life. it makes me happy to see him so proud of his award.

I was so lucky to have met Henry Winkler back in the 70s. He was so nice! Got my picture taken with him, but my brother stole it. I was around 16 years old at the time.
