For all the shit that gets talked about him, Lush is by FAR the most knowledgable person about battle rap/rapping/references and culture, both street culture and high culture... it's impressive. Salute.
I think it'll be dope if you guys did a mini watch/react of that 'Yaki Yaki Yaki' performance at the Ether event with Lush. I really wanna know how/WHY she actually got that opportunity and what Lush in particular was thinking when she was rapping that piece of shit.
Hope 3.0 is enjoying Valhalla 💯 This event was fire af man, everyone was entertaining. Caddy, Fredo, Caustic, and Cutter all on one card? These and the live streams are sick, Avo.
RUIN YOUR DAY You guys open to suggestions or how does this work? is there a time you take a look at battles us as fans would like you to review? Thank you for all the entertainment. These are mad dope. So much insight. Lush worldly knowledge is incredible.
Drew P. Baulsach join the ruin your day fb group. they have a lot of threads on recommendations for the show, and also exclusive watch videos that aren't on RU-vid
Empuls I feel it Fam, Caddy just felt disrespected in that point cause you don't touch anyone like that to be honest but as a Real Man he felt bad and mad amends. I'm glad he did yo cause 2 weeks later our Caddy passed away. Much love. Thanks for your comment
DBD being a smooth baby in this episode… should have stayed home that day my guy.. I’m glad Illmac and Lush checked you when they did.. “you can dip at any time” “you’re on a show my man” hahahaha tighten up Dirt
I love how Lush keeps us all updated on what drugs certain rappers enjoy and what drugs certain rappers were on during certain performances. dude keeps it a buck all the time 😅😅😅😅
thanks for the series, hope it continues. I think a couple that need watched are diz vs pat and gjonaj vs psycoses, both being judged always makes it interesting to rewatch
man watching this jus brought back hella feels of when the first time i watched the rumble... i dm'd the homie about how proud i was to see him apologize and be that 3.0 it was inspiring cause the i caddy new would of took that too far... that msg was jan 22nd 5:15 .. i wake up the next day to mahtie bush from sac tell me "my boy past" im like who... i didnt believe it till i seen in on caustics an dans page... shit was crazy.. i was in disbelief.. #ripCaddy
How's, Dan, gonna come on the show, which he's previously done and knows the format, and then get pissed about them pausing the video to comment? The last half hour, when he was visibly and vocally upset about it, made watching the rest of this really not very enjoyable. He didn't care about screwing the show up, or telling the viewers (who when you make money on RU-vid are people you need) to Fuck off. He just wanted to drive home. I'm usually a DBD fan, but that was crap. If you don't enjoy it, don't do the show. Lush and Illmac killed it as usual. It's fun to watch those guys, cause you can tell they really enjoy it.
After about an hour and half, it became distractingly obvious how irritated DBD was getting. Just look at his eye rolls and sighs when Lush pauses after Caddy's "black filipino" line haha! After a while I couldn't stop observing how awkward the vibe was becoming after DBD's bitching. He should've known what to expect (especially with Lush in the room) by now!
It does fuck with the vibe a bit, but I live in California and driving from city to city is long and boring as fuck. I can understand why it made Dan a bit grumpy at the end.
Lush is literally the friend who gets in your car and tells you he’s about to show you a song that just dropped, then talks over it the entire time to tell you how dope each bar is. Going back and watching these again years later I forgot how awful he he is sitting that close to the laptop. Dude is so dope with stories but literally has to speak on every fuckin thing that’s said or brought up. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤯🔫
As a cultural note, there is a negative stigma between old Japan and Filipinos, where Filipinos are seen as bottom-of-the-barrel Asians but I emphasize 'old' Japan. Much of it stems from when they invaded the Philippines, which for similar reasons there exists a tension between Koreans and Japan. But for the most part, that style of thinking is dated. Japanese-Korean tensions are much more hostile as Korea was actually under Japanese rule and enslaved, but even that due to just a mixing of cultures and such, has died down. I understand Lush is speaking as reference to a bar about Filipinos being black folks of Asia, make no mistake there's no reason for anyone to take offense. But he made it seem like it is still at large, which as I said is partially true, but really more a statement reserved for those from the older generation. Our people are the same, it's the map that divides us.
There's still plenty of racism in Japan. It's not just "old" people it's the colonial legacy that has left Japan much much richer than Japan's former victims. Even if it was only "old" people Japan is a old country - huge baby boom post WW2 and very low birthrates now, so even if the youth are more enlightened they're a minority. Same with USA attitudes towards Mexicans/Blacks etc.
I agree that Lush is hilarious most of the time, and always brings great background info to the battles but this was ridiculous with the pausing. Lush literally paused every 2 seconds to talk during this entire video, and it did get annoying to me. Him and IllMac are my two favorite guests to watch, but Lush paused way, way too much in this individual video..
