The judge said many people spoke with a disrespect in their voice, sorry judge, I think you meant they had a lack of respect for her. They had no respect for her because her actions earned no respect. She deserved so much worse punishment. No one care her family loves her. It’s not her family that she chose to destroy with her actions.
This justice system causes people to take the law into their own hands. That is the reason some sectors of the community do not deal with the police or the criminal justice system. I am not saying that is good but I am just pointing it out.
It’s time to remove some of these so- called judges. When it becomes obvious to Americans; that you are unable to truly follow the law; it’s time for you to go!

Barrientes Vela presented Rodriguez Park security payment logs that she knew to be false, after coming under criminal investigation.
That approach these days is backwards.Nowadays ,you have to get rid of the bad officials in government.And when I say “get rid of”,I mean the unblinking,non heart beat type!
Judges should b made to explain there decisions as to why a certain sentence is emposed in certain high profile cases this certainly Is one.. hi ho hi ho it's off the bench she goes.

@ultimatums1 Because she is guilty of falsifying evidence, which caused innocent people to be convicted of crimes they didn't commit. They were incarcerated due to that falsifying. Jail should be mandatory for the judge.

I think the judge made a Freudian slip when she said “this is a plea bargain case” before she corrected herself and said it was a jury trial. This probably happened because this sentence was definitely bargained for behind the scenes. Horrible judge, horrible sentence.

You are bang on. Criminal breach of trust is a very serious crime. The courts look at white simply. If you rob somebody at gunpoint , you have committed felony Robery. ,. If you are entrusted with finances, then steal the money, the court consider that as bad if not worse than a armed robbery. The reason being you have. " Breached the trust. ". I don't know anything about this trial. Didn't see it on You Tube or I would have watched. Looking at the way people reacted in the gallery and for what the judge says she did, she'll screw up and end up in jail!
As a judge you have the obligation to be fair and balanced. This judge was an example of what a judge should not be. She was biased and knew what her decision was when the case started. She would never do this for anyone else.
She does this for the rich, well connected, those who can enrich her and for people like Ms. Vela. You or I would serve all 6 years in jail, long probation after serving plus community service. I didn’t know you could pay $10.00 for an hour of community service. What does that teach someone. A poor person can’t afford to buy out their sentence but Ms. Vela and family/friends will pay it off. That is why Justice has her eyes blindfolded so she doesn’t have to see the corrupt judges, politicians, cops, doctors,, etc who cheat the system over and over. I’m surprised that the scales are still appearing to be balanced when the scales are completely tipped. Cheers!

If you heard her slipped up and say that this was a plead deal then corrected herself to say oh this was not a plead deal it was a trial... whatever justice corrupt.

I’ve been in the courtroom and the drunk driver who was underage and killed my friend, received a 10 year sentence suspended and 10 years of probation instead because she had “her whole life ahead of her” according to the judge. Never mind that my friend’s life was violently taken away by walking home from work. How is that justice?!
I see this in Philadelphia all the time. 10 years for murder suspended because they have no room in the prison. I couldn't believe how packed they are. They have every square inch used. They have 4 person bunk beds with 6 inches between them. It is insane. We really need to build a lot more prisons

I believe suspended sentence means if you break the 5 yr probation, you go to prison to complete the sentence....plus additional sentencing for a new offense. She won't be able to hold any type of state license or job.
What it means is they're not going to pay attention to her because she is not important. But if it's me or you it means MTR which means motion to revoke probation or in her case felony probation
@@lyonellthearchangel A lot of regular people get suspended sentences and/or straight probation, especially if you have no criminal record.. In fact, i'd say the vast majority of first time felons do.
Most non-violent first-time offenders get probation. It is the courts' way of giving you a final chance in life. If you break the terms of the probation, you could end up serving the sentence. I think that's fair.

This is Justice in America when the defendant and the judge are friends, how can you really expect any type of punishment. Two felonies a conviction and you still get to go home, corruption at its finest!! There wasn't ever going to be jail time for this defendant, especially when they judge and the defendant has a girls night out!

One thing that drives me nuts when I see live courtrooms is the court reporter typing away taking down all the words of each participant. The reason it irks me is that in this day and age with video so cheap (and not prone to mistakes) that the courts continue to utilize fallible humans to record the proceedings. One reason is because the court reporters (about $160K/year) have a strong union. We could have two video cameras recording everything for a fraction of the cost....one hard-wired and one on battery back up. Between federal, state and municipal venues these court reporters cost us, the taxpayer, billions of dollars a year. Plus, if you've ever tried to get a copy of the minutes of a court proceeding from the stenographer you'll know it's like pulling teeth. You hafta kiss their butt to get it and then they charge you an arm and a leg. Waste of money.

This judge is sick. Why would she refer to sex crimes against children as “bloody guts” as if the child and the family haven’t been through enough. No there’s no harsh sentence because the judge participates in such sick crimes against children. I’m asking GOD to expose her in the name of Jesus!

I never knew a prison sentence could even get suspended. I thought they only did that with jail sentences. That's insane. They let her buy her way out of prison. That sounds oddly familiar... American justice at it's finest.
