I was meant to get this video up in December 2023, however I have been extremely busy with work commitments, so here we are in January 2024... This is my state of the watch collection for the end of 2023 Thanks for watching..
An absolute fantastic collection Peter & many thanks for sharing with us all. Great admiration for your Rule of 8 , parting with watches you love video is a must watch for all.
Nice collection and it was nice to see the man behind the voice. I admire your willpower to stick with just 8 pieces in your collection. I struggle to keep mine at under 20.
Finally a watch RU-vidr who hasn't just boring luxury watches such as Rolex submariner, Omega speedmaster, Tudor BB, etc. You have interesting watches as well and good taste. 😉. Lots of watch youtuber hasn't got GS what I don't understand why. To me the GS has more exciting watch than Rolex for example. Here are my watches, affordable condition. And arriving my new watch: Laco Squad Mojave 39 MB. Yes, I like the colours. 🙂 ru-vid.com/group/PLUDJmQwD4edmBGa3lN4ZjRDM9xjuLmZvQ&si=V6NG2hnFdg-zUyNu
Damn mate! First seconds in, i imagine of you, the face, thinking "How will i tease him (..again!) for that?"... [BOOM! IN YOUR FACE]... there's your face!!! hahahahaha Enjoy Peter, whatever you love, in good health and happiness all around you! Cheers bro. PS Hey, too much (Greek???) blue... 😜
Love the collection Pete, thanks for the video. I also have a SLA043 (no. 555) in my collection and, during the summer, it gets more wrist time than anything else.
Really rounded collection Pete and love the fact that it's unique and personal to you. No snobbery..some nice mix of expensive and affordable models and plenty of variety. I'd happily wear any of them. Maybe a chronograph might be worth adding. Keep up the great work. Love the channel.
I have a couple of affordable under $500 Seiko watches that have been antidotes to wanting anything else (for the most part)...my SRPE93 Turtle (my favorite) and my SRPK31 Seiko 5 Sport (my everyday wear). There's just something about a Seiko design language that speaks to you on a subconscious level as if designed by a wizard with magical enchantments.
I agree about the BB58 bracelet. I love the look of it and the BB58 blue but the bracelet is utter rubbish. I used the clasp on an uncle Seiko Jubilee style bracelet. It looks very vintage. Big fan.
Great collection and nice video. Agree the Seiko is the best looking watch you own. Its stunning. Also on the free straps, nobody minds RU-vidrs getting freebies. Not at all. Personally I just think reviewers should be more cognisant of the fact it is a payment - and it will obviously colour the review. If you slate a strap the freebies may stop - brands don’t want negative press. Or you sell the free watch/ straps and essentially you’ve been paid cash for a review. Again that’s grand - but own the fact your review is shaped by it and the reality you’ve invested no capital of your own in the item. It’s classed as sponsored content, appropriately, for a reason. Hell of gift for the daughter too! And a win win for you both! Excellent.
I’m excited to see the SLA043 is your favorite watch! Love mine, which I have on a Meraud blue tropic strap, which looks great and is very comfortable.
Very nice, though you need to get yourself a Quartz so actually know what the time is 😂 You obviously favour straps over bracelets. Straps are more comfortable but I think having an expensive watch on a bracelet sets it off, completes the package, looks the goods 😎
Excellent watch collection. So.. if that Sinn is going out, I guess u must have something in mind to come in? Will be interested to see what fills that spot.
I absolutely love your Meistersinger Metris... particularly on the brown rally strap you showed. I am also fan of the Sinn 556, particularly the white, black and brown dials. Finally, I like the Tudor Blackbay 58 (not boring at all to me) and the Omega Aquaterra. Such a solid collection Peter. I'm amazed by your willpower to keep only 8 watches, specially when you receive watches by the dozen for review... Cheers mate!
I always find it a pleasure listening to your perspective on pieces Pete and thank you brother. Love the collection (and the bond we have with our 62MAS's 😉) And if we're talking about statement pieces and Breitling, couldn't agree more. Great bargains for them out there. Aaaand I'll bang on that Tudor FXD drum until the cows come home! 🥃
You Legend...haha I keep coming back to that FXD, but somehow keep getting distracted with everything else that catches my attention 😊😂 Be well and thanks for sharing bro 🥃
I love your collection, not every watch, but it feels like a real human beings collection as opposed to a hedge fund manager. Feels like I can relate to you. Keep it up.
I still love my first generation black dial Omega Aqua Terra which you can see at 0:16. I know you sold yours but it makes sense when you have 8 great watches. This watch is best when you only have 1 or a small number of great watches because it is so versatile.
Pete - glad to see the SLA043 MAS 62 is a keeper for you. I picked one up in part based on your original review and have been thrilled with it. Looking forward to what you have coming for 2024!
If we believe every opinion about things in life we will never end up getting the things that truly speak to us. What is boring to one man is exciting to another
Thanks Peter 🙏 Glad to see you still have the Meistersinger 👍 i had a really nice grey version & got rid of it dont know what i was thinking . Great collection 👍
Excellent collection, Peter. I have to be honest, I admire your straps almost as much as I admire your watches. I think only us watch hobbists know that we can spend a significant amount of money on watch straps as well.🤦🏻 Great video, as usual!
I do, however at the time of recording, I just happen to have everything on straps The only two watches I really wear on bracelets from time to time is the IWC and the Omega 👍
Awesome collection, such beautiful pieces, but most importantly, each one was picked for a reason and not just bought because it’s popular or trendy! Keep up the good work, always look forward to your videos!
Fabulous collection. Each and every piece is so well curated. Similar to you, I have grown to appreciate a limited number of watches in my collection. Who would have thought that a watch-box would have such power. (I had wondered whether the Fortis had gone… my blue faced version has become a favourite of mine thanks to Artem and their 21mm straps. It is often the small things that give a watch charm - I am looking forward to the ‘orange’ 13th tomorrow.)
Fantastic collection Pete, thank you for sharing. I think your daughter will love your Sinn 556i yellow dial ... awesome Dad 👍 As for its potential replacement, I know you mentioned the Breitling Navitimer and a Panerai, but let me pitch one of my grail watches, which I hope to own in the next couple of years: Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport, white dial withe the tri-colour sub-dials, ref #03.3100.3600./69.M3100. This is a 41mm case, powered by El Primero 3600 1/10th sec automatic chronograph beating at 36K VpH (5 Hz), with a power reserve of about 60 hours. I love this watch. Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
In the last 4 weeks I’ve bought 4 watches. I got two Tissot PRX 80s. An ice blue for me and a dark blue for my amazing son. I also bought a Tissot MotoGP 2023 special edition as my life has been riding super bikes at stupid speeds and today I got a Meistersinger Primatik 365 limited to 100 pieces because it’s not normal and neither am I. 😂😂😂😂 You’re so right that our watches can say things about us. My previous 6 watches total less than £300 which show how poor I was 😂😂😂
8 is a perfect # for a rotation.. 9.7 score in my book.. perfect Seikos.. love the Portuguiser🇵🇹👍.. I’m fine with the BB58.. the Meistersinger is a perfect fun watch.. a vintage diver on leather would bring it to a 9.95🥸… again, eight is great # for a rotation which shouldn’t be confused with a collection! I really don’t care about anyone’s Casio they wore in high school 🫨! 👏👏👏👏
Solid collection, and I’m glad there’s no Rolex. I wish watch companies would stop making 19mm lug widths. 18, 20 or 22mm is what we want. 95% of the time I want 20mm :)
Great collection. Love that Seiko! Don't own one, so I'll enjoy it vicariously thru you. Have that Artem strap on my Marathon Steel Navigator today. Cheers.
A.very interesting collection, my friend. I like Meistersinger, but am too anal-retentive to go with a single-hander. I love their moonphase though, and could see myself getting one
I think it's great to share watches with our loved ones. My youngest son always wants to wear dad's watches and sometimes he gets to try them on when he's sitting on my lap. If you pass on the Sinn think you need something with a strong pop of colour to replace it though in your collection.
Nice! SLA043 still in the collection is surprising, but not surprising either. I got one last year and it quickly zoomed up to #2 spot in my collection (behind my Pelagos) and was my most worn watch of the year. I'd say it's a keeper for me! 😊
Those are some fantastic watches mate absolutely love them especially the Tuna, that would be my favourite probably, or maybe the Aqua Terra. Did you sell your Tudor Date Day? I really really like that watch, it's such a gorgie 🤩
