@@mr.funkyright I wouldn't say "much" just a bit more coherent, the thing is WD2 got some real serious issue with tonal disonance between story and gameplay. Where the prontagonist being all peaceful like pacifist during story cutscene yet the mission almost always calls for mayhem and killing spree
@mr.funkyright Most people didn't stick around for the end of WD2 due to superficial reasons. I agree with you though. WD1 is just a bunch of cliches and WD2 is the superior story with better characterization and more originality across the board.
Probably the most stylish parkour we’ve gotten in gaming, but sadly San Francisco doesn’t have enough consistent parkour opportunities. Wish they built this game with parkouring across buildings in mind.
I used to play this game to relieve stress and escape by helping people online do missions, this game has a close place to my heart with the many longs nights and relaxing times playing as a late teen to earlier adulthood, it will forever be my favorite game of all time.
This parkour system really should be expanded upon with the focus on parkour being much higher. Maybe with similar climbing to the first 4 Assassin's Creed games, but more realistic perhaps, or it could go with the Mirror's Edge route. Manual jumps would be great. Woah I just imagined AC Unity in a Mirror's edge like world. Amazing.
The best watch dogs, man you could get so creative in this game with the parkour and combat, I remember close to the end of the game when you get to the penthouse there's a path you can take that makes your character do cinematic parkour moves in between combat. Made the experience worth it unlike legion
Watch Dogs 2 is a cool game a well done one I remember that it was the only game that competed against GTA V in its time and it beat it in some technical and graphic things. The truth is, I was quite surprised of how engaging, and fun the game is after playing the first one. Not to mention San Francisco looks beautifull
watch dogs 2 did come out after gta v, and they didn't even run on the same hardware. i love watch dogs but apples to apples, gta v is far more impressive for what it achieved at the time
@@hi_its_jerry agreed GTA V was also really hyped up, and the many fans waiting for it, I was amazed by the graphics it was so wild during that time but watch dogs 2 has a more brighter feeling if you know what I mean
One of the worst open world game I ever played. Besides the parkour being quite scripted, it has awfully simplistic gameplay at every level and the open world is the blandest ever shat by a video game company. Another dog poop from Ubicrap, so fitting. Let's remember they once did the Sands of Time trilogy. Also it still lokks like ass next to GTA V even if it is a far newer game.
the parkour mechanics is one of my favorite thing about this game especially when youre running away from the police. feels like actual chase. its just a shame that the police mechanic itself is a bit crappy. even the running feels very stiff
It still ends up being boring to play, you cant take that much control away from the player and make what could be a fun traversal system simply mean holding a button. Sleeping Dogs did add a timing mechanic that helped the player feel more enganged. The most advanced system would be one like Mirrors Edge but that would require different level design and the whole experience would be something entirely different. I think simply requiring a lot more input and at the right times like in Sleeping Dogs would do wonders for the system already in place here.
While I agree that this system isn't great for the same reasons you stated, I don't think Sleeping Dogs is anything special in that regard. The best third person game parkour system, to me, is still Assassin's Creed Unity. That game's flaw with the system was not actually teaching the players about the actual depth it could have. In general, however, I'd give Dying Light 2 the reward for best parkour system in a game.
I can’t stress enough how this is one of the best games i ever played ❤️ I feel it was so underappreciated. The gameplay mechanics, the story, the gameplay 🙌🏽 I would 100% play it again if it is 4K60FPS on con
@@123Juniiorr you won’t notice that it’s slower since you’re looking at how dope that backflip looked. The only people that would actually notice/care about parkour slowing down movement would be speedrunners, and that can easily be solved anyway by making parkour an option you can turn off in settings.
This is the parkour that feels like real life the most in terms of how true to life the moves are. It's not the most fluid tho. Judging by what I saw in this video I'd say Ubisoft made some updates to it because it looks less buggy than when the game released
Just imagine Trevor or Michael doing Parkour That doesn't really make sense, they are too old for that I mean we may have Parkour on gta 6 because the characters are not that old
It’s all animations and good control. Allowing me to manually press a button to jump across a ledge and then the animation looking beautiful does wonders.
0:55 i was waiting for a slur word to come out of the driver...so i guess that this is an accurate representation of an American city! jokes aside. man alive that is a beautiful and vivid scene on that pier. wonderful!
I hope not, assassin's creed parkour (any assassin's creed) is much better than watch dogs 2, if you think i'm wrong go play unity which so far has the best parkour in assasins creed
Making Police actually chase you on foot instead of shooting while taking cover from a distance and slowly walking toward you sounds like a great idea for a free roam game
Just imagining the countless other universes where this parkour system was iterated on for Watch_Dogs Legion and then London Map was made with parkour and verticality in mind.
From the beginning until the end of my watch dogs 2 game i have never seen parkour animation like that except for the backflip when you jump from height.
I played this game all throughout and finished each and every thing. But never have I ever knew he does Parkour like that!! I've only travelled by cars lmao.
If assassin’s creed used this engine and got rid of the flips, replaced them with fluid ledge hopping they’d have the perfect feeling assassin’s creed game since unity.
Ubisoft is pretty good at this point in implementing parkour in their games. Just the story and micro transactions makes the games unbearable at times.
Maybe Ubisoft is out of idea to make Watch Dogs sequel, Legions is in the future what about make a prequel instead? like Aiden Pearce's early career? or the untold stories of Jackson or Wrench before we see them appear in Wd Legion? And back in the day when E3 released WD 1, actually i thought it will feature things such as: stealing phone, tablet, laptop,or buying a hacking device with wide range of selections like tablet, laptop, smartwatch and each devices have their own advantages like faster hacking, further hacking range, etc.also the devices can be broken too so you must buy a new one or feel free to rush into enemy territories with using guns and baddas batman voice😊
