Thanks for coming to NYC for this man. Was really great getting to meet you 💪 I promise not to carry my watches around in an oven mitt moving forward 😅
Pulling out the oven mit full of watches is probably the funniest thing you done since you jump in that pool in Fredrick Eckland’s listing. Brilliant 👏
Refreshing to see Ryan's honesty about his collection of watches and why he got each one. Also appreciated the explanation Nico shared of why he's a collector; the story, memories, hunting for a watch you want.
Never heard of him, just don’t run in that circle I reckon but he seems like one of the few people with lots of money that remembers what it was like to not have lots of money so he’s got a sense of humor and and an admirable level of humility. Good for him.
These the millionaires you can say you know what you’re a decent bloke. Self made, remembers his roots, remembers his struggles from his roots to working his way up with a bit of fortune to making a fortune. Instead of just inheriting a fuck tone & being self indulgent arrogant peace of shite. & the fact he doesn’t take himself or his watches too seriously shows he’s not too much of a materialistic person because any of those that’s would help a common person out greatly lol
Ryan’s an amazing presenter of himself. He comes off humble, intelligent, and refreshingly honest. His personality mirroring of Nico is amazing. And…his collection is pretty top notch for someone who doesn’t know watches well.
Ryan is one of those guys I think you sort of low key want to dislike but his humbleness, honesty and sense of humor quickly changes that. He’s likable and cool and definitely a watch enthusiast even though comes off as having no idea. Nobody wears an AP for 10 years that doesn’t like watches. That gold Daytona and Vacheron Constantine solidifies that.
Dude walks in looking like superman, mr 7 foot steal yo girl, itd be easy to hate lol, reality is hes a super dope guy and kills the real estate game online and in NYC
he sells 100M homes for a reason. he's good at how he wants to present himself. he's a salesman. never trust a salesman. he could be a dick behind closed doors for all we know.
Nico you legend. You need to do a interveiw with Kelly. She was awesome on camera and I bet has some awesome stories. Get it done son. Keep up the great work
This video will get Nico access to a lot of collections to rate. He let the guy explain each piece and didn't flame him. High profile people don't like being made fun of.
That's often the case some people get exceptional watches because they were offered it, I met a dude who was selling a polo (Piaget) he brought the watch wrapped in socks and used the box to return stuff on Amazon 😮 I got a good deal 😂
@Laurentius there's something kind of charming and innocent with purchases that are made out of a genuine like of the watch rather than too much over analysing
What a top bloke. He comes into this relaxed, knowing he is open to roasting and brings everything in an oven glove. He knows what he likes and gets it. Nice collection and nice to see his approach, very refreshing
@@jas_bataille oh I don't know maybe it was the fact that he calls out the time as he's checking it on his phone and gives us an update on when they are supposed to arrive a few minutes later. Maybe that's what tipped me off to the fact that he was checking the time on his iPhone
Man Nico you are making moves!! I was going through one of the toughest time in my life when I was mindlessly scrolling RU-vid in Feb ‘21and I saw one of you videos where you were reacting to celebs watches and you had me dying as you roasted them. You made me laugh and I hadn’t been able to crack a smile for months. Thanks for that!!
I feel like a fool…I completely misjudged this guy. I saw the white overcoat and assumed he was the worst. Turned out to be such a humble and great personality. Great video!
I love that Nico is the same person no matter who he’s speaking with or where he is. AP, Rolex, Patek or GODTIER Casio…he just loves watches and the watch world. And I love him for that.
Thanks to Kelly and Ryan to round out a excellent video with Nico. It was funny seeing him carry those watches in a oven mitt. For Nico to let Ryan talk is how it should be done, no Hublot so that made the interview smoother.
I always get a laugh watching Leonard and love his perspective. Gotta say that Girrard Perregaux is no joke. Their lineage goes back to the mid 1800s and maybe their style isnt for everyone, but their engineering and contribution to the industry is significant.
Great video, Nico! I admire and appreciate great sales experiences when I see it, and it seems to me that you have received the royal treatment from Kelly Yoch at Watches of Switzerland in NYC. I have yet to visit that store location. Although I was born and raised in NY, I now live in Florida. I have also found an amazing manager from Watches of Switzerland (Mayor's). I hope she does not mind me giving her a most deserved thank you! her name is Julie Artrip from (Mayor's) in Orlando, for always making my wife and I feel welcome and for the outstanding customer service she always provides. It's always a pleasure when visiting her store and receiving the red carpet treatment. Thanks again!! & Thanks again, Nico. You deserve all the royal treatment you may receive in the future as you have done plenty for the watch community. Cheers, mate!
Kelly is the BEST part of this video. She was just in a video with Teddy B and he didn’t even acknowledge her. What a great thing that you gave the the diva so much time ⭐️
Hamilton was founded in my hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The factory closed in 1969, in 1982 the buildings were placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The buildings later became apartments called “Clock Towers” and is now luxury apartments and condominiums. My father worked there as a maintenance man in the ‘80s and as a kid, I remember he was gifted a Hamilton pocket watch when he worked there!
Very nice content. I respect the collection even though they aren’t my taste. Rolex was the best, Hamilton was the coolest , and the Breitling was my favorite. Very healthy attitude on watches for a wealthy collector. He enjoys his watches and uses his watches to tell time choosing which one to wear depending on his mood and attire. They don’t just sit in a safe collecting dust in hopes they will accrue in value only to be sold in an estate sale by someone else with no attachment to them or you. Respect-
One of the most chaotic watch reviews I have seen, blud pulls up with an oven mitt full of luxury watches and Nico just casually pulling watches out of his pockets, absolutely incredible
@@louisdelaqua8820 Gotta be the G-Shock GWM 5610. An absolute classic. From the base model to the Multi band 6 version with the Tough Solar which automatically sets the time with absolute precision and extends the batter life to years. Good luck with your decision
Clever, the oven mitt thing is comparable to a hustler at a pool table, not knowing who you are meeting, best to look like a rookie in case a deal is being negotiated.
I like the fact he doesn't consider himself a collector. I have 9 watches but I've never considered myself a collector. I just like nice looking watches.
There are two types of "Collectors" Watch owners - 95% Watch Lovers - 5% Watch owners have the cash to make it just another "Thing" they own Watch Lovers might or might not be wealthy, but usually know everything there is to know about their collection, reference number, movement, power reserve so on and so forth. I never tire of asking people about their watch and then laughing at them as they think I'm laughing with them when they don't know squat about the 10k plus on their wrist.
You need to relax, at the end of the day it is “just” a watch. watches can become infinitely complex but they all share the same primary use case and a lot of people will see them as just that. Be an enthusiast, don’t be a snob
Such a great video. I love Nico, first and foremost. The title of this was deceiving. I don’t think he truly “roasted” Ryan. He was just genuine Nico and actually quite kind. Great video. I love WOS too so I appreciated that aspect.
My father gave me a Panther and an Must de Argent the other day and I’m so proud of them. But, the first watch I bought, as a statement to myself to get back to being clean cut, more organized and a reminder to be on point in my business, is my Hamilton. It’s VERY important to me
Nico! Thank you for the concept of “Converting the currency” for purchases that retain or increase in value. I also thank your Real Estate guest for saying “I deserve nice things.” Y’all are both awesome as is the lady at the preamble.
Hello Ryan, we're glad to see that our BR 02-92 Rose Gold timepiece is a part of your watch collection 😊At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2023 tomorrow we are unveiling several limited edition watches. We would be glad to accomodate you at one of our boutiques soon to show you these exclusive timepieces! See you at Watches and Wonders Nico? 😊
Basically he is the best investor/seller of luxury ever because he knows absolute fck all about watches but somehow have one of the most INSANE collection in the world just by instinct. Wow. Respect!
Nico, I'd love an in depth video on the watch manufacturing process. I've always assumed they were made by hand. I'm also curious how difficult it would be to recreate a watch. Can you make an exact replica or how difficult is the skilled craftsmanship of creating a watch from a hunk of metal and glass?
Ryan’s class. Loved the NY show with that other boy Fredrick {plays to the camera} Think I saw the minute he was speaking about during C-19. Sitting on a step in the street when NY was empty/shut down and he left for his parents. Think he must have realised at that time, life’s too short and bought the watch! Brilliant meeting guys 👍
Dude Nico. that was awesome. instead of reacting to photos of people's watch collections you should meet w these people and make a "talking watches" with them about their collections. Holy cow Ryan wears a royal oak daily and has no idea what the complications on the dial mean. Come hang with me and I'll show you my watch collection and we'll hang.
Great Video! I like your style asking about the day of purchase and the story behind them. Please Please Please do more videos like this. I dont see anyone doing this on RU-vid.
Nico is useally on point with his watch information. But had to figure out that it was a vacheron. Cant believe they talked more about the Hamilton than the vacheron.
