@@Robd07 I totally disagree. Ford is a big star. He doesn't have to be nice to anyone he doesn't want to. Now if it were say Tommy Lee Jones, I'd agree. But not Harrison. Harrison is too genuine and if he doesn't like someone or something, he'll say it.
@@lucakat9262 somethings wrong with that guy. Either he has some serious sense of dry humor no one gets and is purposely laughing at home with his wife that he had a Wonderful day being a jerk to fans... or hes just dead inside. Its like hes not happy and just 'forced' to do these on camera interviews. I just dont get it.
@@Robd07 watching Harrison Ford on Conan O'brien's recent podcast, I am thinking his sense of humor is dry humor and he's probably a bit dead inside but still wants to express humor.
You can see the relief on Harrison’s face when Ke interrupted the interview lol. Not that you can blame him with the totally dumb questions he was being asked. It’s nice to see the genuine pride he has for Ke’s success and who wouldn’t Ke seems such a genuinely lovely guy
The guy just didn't get the hint. Why ask Harrison about Tom Cruise and another movie series. Harrison even tried to end the topic in a classy way and this guy just kept going. Ke saved this interview
It seemed like the interviewer had been told you have this much time to fill and he was desperately asking anything to make up the time. It was so awkward.
I love the great respect Harrison showed to Ke here. He of course sees him as the boy from temple of doom, but also as the man, the established actor in his own right. Of course Ke probably could care less and loves Ford and continues to look up to him, but it's special nonetheless. You can tell its all real love between these two.
The moment I saw Quan jumping behind Ford with that sweet smile and holding peace signs; I knew it’ll be something great and heartwarming. I love the fact that he acknowledged Quan’s success is his own effort rather than attributing his famed association with him.
you can tell harrison was happy to see ke, and not happy to have to keep answering these questions. asking an experienced pilot what advice he gets from tom cruise.... yuck! i'm not in the habit of criticising interviewers but this was bad. harrison is too nice
Everybody behind Harrison just waiting for Ke to say hello is just awesome, with the smiles on their faces that Short Round and Indy are reunited once again. So perfect!
Ford always seems to tired and grumpy in interviews (can't really blame him) but everytime Ke is mentioned, he just lights up. I just love that he gets excited to hear about his young friend after so long
Oh god, my eyes teard up in joy upon seeing Ke walk up behind Harrison and go "Indyyyyyy!" (then laughed when he turned to Melvin and went "You call him 'Dr. Jones!'" 😂😂
The questions couldn´t be worst. The answers couldn´t be smarter. Specially about Ke. "I don´t need to be proud of him. His pride is his own". Take that.
❤❤the way he calls him Indy and "you call him Doctor Jones" has to warm any heart and bring a smile to your face. So genuine, so heartwarming, so iconic.
Man, Disney missed a trick by not having Indie 5 be about the return of Short Round. If anyone deserves to have the spiritual fedora passed to, it's him. Short Round's all grown up and doing his own style of adventuring as Wan Li and Indie gets mixed up in some trouble like Henry Jones Sr. did in Last Crusade, and where Indie goes in for the good fight it's up to Wan Li to go "No Doctor Jones, you rest here. It's my turn to save you now" in a very honorific way. That's a movie I actually want to see
That's going to make me cry. Disney really screwed up big time. I would have rather waited 6 months or a year to see Indiana Jones and Short Round be in a film together.
I could well imagine Harrison Ford as the villain in the last Mission Impossible movie. Tom and Ford are both at the top of Hollywood. That would be very dynamic!
Harrison just completely done with these vapid questions, then Ke bops in like the human sunbeam he is and Harrison's face just lights up. Thank you Short Round for saving Dr Jones once again
Aww, brilliant to see Indiana Jones and Short Round back together! They worked well in Temple of Doom, which may see...mixed opinions and an incredibly dark story, but this duo is one of the best parts of it. Glad to see Ke out and about! 😄
I noticed that too. Almost like an instinctual reaction from when Ke was a kid. I'm sure Harrison would give him one of those head kisses like a dad gives their kid. It was really sweet to see how much care and love "Indy" has for "Short Round".
Harrison Ford is basically like yeah. I'm 80. I don't care about any of these stupid questions. Ke hey omg! He's wonderful! Oh yeah, dumb questions, idgaf. Love it.
I love how Harrison Ford gave gratitude and respect to stunt men and women. He could have just made a flippant joke about not doing stunts but he gave those great men and women the respect they truly deserve.
i love ke huy so much, every video of him makes me cry knowing there's someone so pure put there in the world, makes me truly believe anything is possible
Damn dude Harrison was getting genuinely emotional there after seeing Ke. Their chemistry together on Temple of Doom was so impressive. It must warm his heart to see that little kid all grown up and an OSCAR winner. Two legends
Not many can hug Harrison Ford like that .... most are too intimidated by the man .... but Ke is like a son of Harrison's who will not grow up as long as Harrison's there in front of him ....
Indiana Jones is my biggest childhood hero and Short Round has always been my favorite character after him, for obvious reasons: somehow, I wanted to see myself in him, I wanted to be that kid, living the adventures with Indy! How beautiful it is to see the two of them together after all these years!
Short Round should have been at Indy's wedding in 4. I mean, that whole church crowd was a great way to slip in some guest stars and the filmmakers populated it with folks we'd never seen
Imagine an Indiana Jones 5 movie with Short Round returns now as adult and an archaeologist, has a wife & daughter but were separated due of him always at work(a reference to Indy's separation with Marian in Indy 4), went to America with his estranged daughter to see Indiana Jones, reunite with Indy who is now retired living with his family and wrote some books based from his adventures from his past(including some references from Young Indiana Jones series) as a bestselling novels for an one last adventure that involve the mysterious El Dorado, fighting some remnants of the Nazis, Nazis kidnapped Short Round's wife as hostage, lots of adventures, puzzles & escapes, Short Round reconciled with his wife & daughter, the founding of El Dorado, the climatic scene between heroes & villains and ends with Indy gives his iconic fedora hat to Short Round symbolizing the passing of a torch. That would be so cool movie instead what we got in Dial of Destiny.
I feel like Ford was relieved when Ke Huy Quan stepped up because the interview wasn’t the best. I will say that I understand why the interviewer asked about the stunts but the way he worded it wasn’t great. He’s referring to how Harrison was known in the original trilogy for doing some of the stunts. Harrison might have thought that he was only talking about Indy 5 or he’s just being very modest.
0:56 Harrison’s demeanour completely changes and completely forgets the interviewer is even there. 1:47 Father’s Day coming up. Huh? 🤦 poor Harrison having to put up with fake idiots all the time.
It seemed like the interviewer had been told you have this much time to fill and he was desperately asking anything to make up the time. It was so awkward.
If there is someone to pass the torch too for indiana jones it is short round. He has a legacy with Indi and the actor is amazing. He would fit right into the hat and would do so humbly and with pride.
Man you can clearly see how much Harrison has no patience for bullshit, but then when Ke shows up, its none of that, thats when you know emotions are not fake.
