As a person who was abused and traumatised as a child I have to tell you that every time you start with the positive affirmations my heart stops. I close my eyes and open my heart to every word you say. Your words heal not only dogs. As soon as you say, “It wasn’t your fault, you did nothing wrong,” I receive that comment directly into my own heart.

She is such a sweet dog. I hope she got adopted. She will make someone’s home complete with love.

Late to the party and just caught the vid. OMG, she just melted my heart. I looked her up on your adoption page and I see she's been adopted! Who ever it was that took her home, please give this little angel all the love she deserves.

Years ago a dog showed up on our porch & wouldn’t leave. She was itchy and had no fur on her back half. We gave her a bath in Head & Shoulders because we weren’t going to keep her and didn’t want to invest in dog shampoo. She had no more skin problems. She was so sweet and we had her for 10 years.

Retired groomer here. ANYONE who takes the time to bathe and help a dog in need earns my respect, admiration and gratitude. ♥

Back in our middle aged years we adopted several dogs, some of them who had some pretty rough lives. One in particular would not even come near me for months. But one weekend afternoon I was napping on the couch and she curled up next to me, with no encouragement from anyone, and gave me the most gentle kiss and went to sleep herself.. Let me tell you, my heart swelled ten fold that day. RIP, We miss you Emma.

Her being curious off the bat was such a nice sign for potential.

A hard life. Mistreated. Not knowing real love. And the first thing she does is trust. What a brave dog, what an honour!

One of the most heartbreaking experiences I've had as a shelter volunteer was with this lovely ginger cat who sadly had cancer in their ear and neck that was too advanced to treat. The staff told me that their goal was just to make their last few days of life as comfortable as possible before we had to say goodbye. They were covered in open sores and blood, and overall their condition made for a very very gross situation, so a lot of people weren't keen on touching/patting them. I spent my entire shift with them, patting, snuggling and giving them lil scratches. By the end of it I was covered in gunk and blood, some even got splattered on my face when they would shake their head, and I understand why many didn't want to deal with that. But "gross" animals need affection too, our own comforts be damned.

Patiently waiting for an update on this beautiful girl, someone will be very lucky for her company!

Ok, let's talk about Rocky for a minute. The look on his face when she finally got into his lap & melted into his "scoop" - Rocky was in pure bliss. Then while he's rubbing her head - she was in pure bliss. That went straight to my heart!!

My Mom would have said “ you are working your way to Heaven “ . You are so kind . Thank God for people like you .

My gorgeous girl was found wandering a main road. Her owners didn't want her so we adopted her and then we found out why they didn't want her. She was allergic to all grasses, home and body sprays and so much more. She was the sweetest girl, we had 5 wonderful years with her and she was worth every penny we spent on her. Every dog deserves another chance in life, so don't be put off by their health problems, love is worth it. 🥰

After she checks out and can be adopted keep me in mind. I’ve had two min pins for the last 14 years. My Sammy passed a few years ago from tumors but my Pebbles is still here with me. She misses having a companion. ❤

YOU DID IT!!! SHE IS IN YOUR LAP ALL ON HER TERMS AND I AM CRYING 😭 LIKE I AM A CHILD! I feel like I did back when I rescued a Doberman the kennel was going to put down 4 aggressive behavior. I stopped it and I started working w her & finally got to take her home as a foster home…. That became a permanent home! She ended up being the best dog I had ever worked as far as how eager she was to learn & and became my best friend. We were such a great team but she only showed her aggressive personality when she was @ home as she’s very protective of ME. She took a year to really trust my now husband. I have her and her ashes with me always in an urn, that I painted to look just like my girl! She lived to the right old age of 16, that old for a Doberman who was rescued from a house w/ no info about her upbringing other than she was chained to a concrete floor in side of house w/o a shelter or water/food… per neighbor’s. 😭😭. Please, does anyone have any interest in adopting this little girl??? I would even offer to foster her, if she is in need of slowly growing to be more comfortable & trusting w/ people. Anything she needs I’d be happy to help! P.s. would y’all be ok with a few gift cards for the dog food?? It’s cheaper & easier for y’all to get the food they are used to. Please, I will check in often to see what you think about the gift cards option! Thank you so much for all you do for all our 4 legged family members out there! You are a true inspiration!❤

How can you keep from crying seeing the condition of this little dog’s skin? This has too be extremely painful and itchy. My heart is breaking watching her. I have psoriatic arthritis and my skin gets extremely dry, cracking and itchy. My condition is mild but this little dog has an extreme skin condition. I hope the doctor’s can get a definitive diagnosis for the cause of this skin condition. I can’t wait to see her improvement and finding her loving forever home. ❤🐾 Thank you Rocky! ❤

Oh, she was overjoyed by this affection. If she gets the help she needs for her skin condition, she will definitely be adopted. She is so lovely.

I’m the opposite. Wound care nurse, retired, here. I’d grab her in a heartbeat. Get her on some high quality food from Sundays or Honest Kitchen. She’d get an anti fungal bath, then antibiotics. Applying melted coconut oil to the skin also since it’s both antibacterial and moisturizing. Antihistamines to control itching. I’ve fostered many dogs of different breeds with all different skin conditions. She looks like she’ll be a sweetheart to some family.

The moment she crawled in your lap and you had to hold in your excitement, I felt that. My heart just melted. Im not usually a fan of small dogs but I love this little princess. I hope she found a family. ❤

Years ago, my brother and I were driving near Mt. St. Helens when we came across a skeletal wreck of a dog whose skin looked like he was half elephant. Three months of regular food and a daily thyroid pill, Gifford the Newfie mix went from 70lbs to 112, from half bald crusty skin to glossy black double coat. And for the three years he was given this side of the Bridge, was the sweetest soul I've ever had the privilege to meet.

The way she carefully positioned herself on the blanket that had your smell on it, I just melted!

I miss our dog, he passed away after 19 years. I grew uo with dogs.. Would love another or two. Though afordability, isnt in the cards right now. So I visit with my friends dogs. ❤️ Fills my 💔heart. She is preciius this one.

My husband brought home a dog that was obviously part Pitt bull. Later found out he was also part black Lab. He was in horrible condition. We took him to the vet and took very good care of him. He had seizures and a skin problem, but that dog became part of my heart. Buddy, protected me to his dieing day. I'd often take him to Dairy Queen for a pup cup. We'd sit in the parking lot and enjoyed the ice cream and our time together.

My service dog just passed away on 4-24-24. It’s very hard for me to watch dog videos. I want to tell you that 12 yrs ago I rescued my dog from a kill shelter. I love your videos. My heart aches for these dogs. I’m in Upstate SC

My therapy dog had a flea allergy so anytime she had fleas she would lose fur and look like this poor baby girl. She had to have flea medication and special baths all 15 years she lived with me. I rescued her as a puppy. The shelter staff were so happy because she was so sweet and she had been there so long that her number had been put on the euthanasia list for the next morning. She was very loved not just by me but her/my whole family. Her name was Nessy and she rescued me as I came very close to needing a wheelchair because of a bad back injury. She knew when I was feeling unwell and would do things to entertain me....she is now waiting for me in heaven. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

Leaving them would be the part that would kill me. When my sister and I rescued our two Sheltie sisters, I asked the woman who was fostering them how she does that without getting attached and having to let them go. She said she was able to do it because she knew that there was another one that needed her. I loved that answer. Ashley's a little sweetheart

also, former dog groomer of 10 years. i LOVED the dogs that had skin issues or the heavy shedders. making a dog's skin feel better or getting that heavy undercoat out even with just a bath was SO much more rewarding than an already maintained yorkie or poodle haircut. the feeling of knowing you've helped a dog actually physically feel better is just so rewarding! i miss those days.

And seeing her go from how she was when you walked into her kennel to now when she’s stopped shaking and is relaxing on your lap…such a difference you make in so many dogs lives!
