Synopsis:
In a world of labels it’s easy to forget who made sportsmen, pop singers and matinee idols into stars, superstars and megastars - the FANS. Every FAN has their own personal relationship with their hero - it’s almost a Love Story.
FAN is the story of Gaurav (Shah Rukh Khan) a young man, 20 something, whose world revolves around the mega movie star Aryan Khanna (Shah Rukh Khan) or God as he refers to him.
From the by lanes of Delhi, young Gaurav embarks on a journey to the city of dreams, Mumbai, in order to wish his God on his birthday. After all, he is Aryan’s biggest FAN and even has a striking resemblance to him - how difficult could it be for the world biggest FAN to get an audience with the world’s biggest Star.
When things don't go according to plan, Gaurav’s love and passion for his God turns in to a dangerous obsession that crosses the fine line.
In an edge of the seat thriller, FAN will peel away at both Gaurav and Aryan’s personalities and characters as the two men discover people within themselves that even they didn't know existed, and we’re left wondering who to sympathize with and whom to root for - can we really pick a side, after all, Superstars are also human beings but each one of us is also a FAN.

I'm Very Amazed and Got Sad after watching this ...i mean after that much of Hardwork ..and Makeup ...he didnt got any respect from his own People own Country... I agree that make up was used to make him look younger but from inside he is stil 50yrs of age ...then after is got that much of incredible energy and passion of this acting and love for his fans worldwide... The best thing about SRK is that he is fearless... He is not scared to fail...he is probably the only star who is not image conscious...there isn't a genre that he didn't try....he's been the romantic lover, the eccentric stalker, the murdered, mafia, bottle legger, a fan, a dwarf and now even a spy....he's one of a kind....people would have valued him a lot more, had he been in Hollywood.... all the adulation and appreciation he gets, is still not good enough....he deserves a lot lot more....

I don't care this movie was a flop or not, props to SRK for sitting 4 hours everyday and having the patience to do so for the sake of this film. The critics probably rejected it because it wasn't about a love story, or didn't have any songs yet they accept crap like Diwale and Krish 3 with rip off ideas and scenes from X-Men.

Teja Saab Saab True, but this man had alot of patience to do it. He would have to sit completely still and wear layers over layers of makeup, then have to perform the action scenes in the movie. Not to mention that the makeup he was wearing made it more difficult for him to act properly. If something went wrong, he would have to wait and sit another 4 hours so his make up could be fixed again.

Wow! Amazing work we have ever seen in Bollywood! SRK did a best job in this movie, he looks so Young with prosthetics and VFX, it was created by the Hollywood make up artist #GregCannom, he is a truly a Genius. But still he looks better with a real face, i prefer that one. Love you Shahrukh sir 😍😘 the real you is much better than this one. You are truly the best 👍 and you are awesome in FAN. So proud of you! 👏

The amazing thing is that not just Gaurav, SRK also played Aryan different to his real self. Yes he is also a huge actor like SRK, but slight different personality. SRK is witty and charming in real life, but Aryan is more serious and self involved
