Through the years installation manuals for many products have fallen in quality. Evidently Miels is no exception. It is so nice to hear and read instructions in English, rather than the enclosed cuneiform diagrams with no explanation.

It would be nice to be able to read the instructions but there are only pictograms, with little or no explanation of what they mean

Miele should be ashamed of the installation instructions that come with these. We want actual written instructions explaining some of ambiguous pictures. For example - is the steam deflector needed for solid surface / waterproof countertop?

@@MieleUSA the point is we shouldn't have to call an 800 number for basic instructions. If you want to help push this complaint up the chain and tell them they need to back to actually providing written directions with the installation instructions. Nobody wants to call an 800 number

What about the lucite reflector, which lets you know if the machine is running? Attaches to the steam shield. It's the rectangular piece you can see on the parts chart

My G5008 model ordered from Lowes has a 9/16th fitting. Why is this non-standard fitting used and why is my model different from what's show in your video?

Good luck with calling Miele…or should I say their Indian customer NO-service department. Everything is read off a script, nobody there knows anything about the products or installation, and will continually repeat “speak with an authorised installer, now please complete our survey (so we can sell your information)” no matter if it relates to your question or not. Come on Miele, that business model failed years ago! Build quality products that people want and give them great customer service that people need and you will have customers for life.

"call our 800 number is a crap answer to a basic question. I have the same question. And this should be answered in the instructions. Why are there just pictures instead of actual instructions that explain anything? A top tier dishwasher should come with some instructions.

why not just to make step by step symply manual for front panel installation of G 7460 SCVi? That's the way to imploe more your staff? (the existing manual is not the manual should be)
