My friend by no means do I intend to ride on ur story by saying what I am about to say. I'm just another happy and proud jamaican when I listen ur story. I too am a jamaica and I just got employed on at Delta Airlines as a mechanic at. I was a school teacher in jamaica for 14 years and I migrated as a grown man. Went back to school and the rest is history. #proudtobejamaican
Robert Young im happy for u...im 40 now but no subjrct at all bcuz i am single mom of three n stay home to see them thru..but sometimes i feel so bad bcuz i dnt ave no good education..im just wondering at my age if i csn go bck n try get some cxc ? Any answer plz for me?
Stew Beef yes it is possible to go back and get some cxc's. Believe it or not. already u have the right attitude. One thing I want u to bear in mind though. Jamaica or the Caribbean for that matter is very exam driven. We believe that our success depends on our ability to pass exams. I would encourage you to find something that u are good at doing and see how you can get paid doing it. Use that business model and build your empire. That is true success.
this is what you call a young black man in control if his life ...hes a monument of leadership...GOD bless him im so proud of him i could cry ...and i dont even know him

As the saying goes, they are the crabs in the bucket, the ones that envy those who make it out and are doing well, seeing only the rewards they want for themselves but not seeing the progress, struggle, sacrifice and determination that it took to get him there.
Wow. As a teacher, it warms my heart to hear of your success. I am so proud of you young man. I have a past student who is presently studying aviation in the USA. I pray he will do well. May God continue to bless you. #proud Jamaican.

I bumped into this touching, motivating, tear-jerking story by accident. Good job! My 10 year old son, also a did well iin GSAT and is about to start his high school journey in September. I anticipate that we are going to have a bit of a financial challenge, but you know what, when he gets up later, for the purpose of motivation, I am going to show him this story . Good job Marlon! Kudos!
maurice mckenzie so you're from hell knowing you're unGodly unholy wicked evil minded iniquity workers who believe he did that on his own the time will come when you will be crying out on his name from what to come your way in Jesus name we pray amen
Timothy Black : By reading your response, I am certain beyond doubt that you are illiterate. My suggestion to you is to read more (anything other than the bible).
We lost more than an airplane, we lost the ability to show Jamaicans All things are possible, here in Jamaica. Air Jamaica showed the possibilities for a young, poor Black child to dream.
Nonsense, I was a loyal Air Jamaica customer, no other airline would I fly to Jamaica. I'll never forget my 1st Air Jamaica flight, I was 6.. The stewardesses were gorgeous and they did an in-flight fashion show including bikinis. As a yout from rural Jamaica, it left an impression. I felt so proud getting off at Kennedy walking from the Air Jamaica gate to arrivals. Even felt better when departing the U.S .
Awesome! I know your mom is extremely proud of u . I have 2 sons that are pilot but unfortunately I lost one in a plane crash . May the Lord continue to bless and protect you 🙏🏽
Marlon, what you wanted in life became a reality with the help of the Lord. You made your mum and other family members proud as well as Jamaica and the caribbean as a whole. Many more blessings to you. Very inspirational story.
But why worry about that??? There are more likes than dislikes. Haters will always exist and that’s just life. You just got to live with it and move on.
OMG, I don't know how I stumbled across this vlog but it brings such joy to my heart. I am much proud as your mom for your great achievement. I notice you never make mention of your dad and if he's still alive he should hang his head in great shame for not been there for you, if that's the case. Big up to the single moms who did such fantastic job all on their own. Let's not forget that destiny cannot be erased and throughout your journey you have cross path with some people who set an unbelievable chain of event that set your future in motion. Event that change the fate of your life forever. A chance encounter by random strangers can be a blessings who happen to be an angel sent from the most high. Keep your head high because this is just the very beginning of your career and I wish to see you landing a Boeing 727 at Heathrow or Gatwick soon.
Congratulations on your accomplishment!!! May God Bless you and keep you safe in his arms. As a fellow Wolmerian this makes me so proud..... "Age Quod Agis"
When I listen to this young pilot, I remember my travelling days on Air Jamaica. This young man going places. Thumbs up to you, mom and being the ambitious person you are. CONGRATULATIONS!
I see this guy flying a decade or so widebody and then going back to teaching and mentoring. Seems like his passion is contagious and inspiring and that he really loves teaching.
This young man is a shining example of overcoming adversity. He worked hard, set his bar high to achieve his goal to become a pilot. Great job. There is no excuse why anyone cannot achieve to get what you want. Being lazy or giving up or a failure is not an option. Being a pilot is a great achievement. Success is available for anyone, you just have to want it.
Congratulation to you!!! You makes me feel proud and your relationship with your mom reminds me of my daughter and myself.May God continues to Bless and keep you and your mom.
Anytime you fly to jamaica plz make a video and post it see all in jamaica can see it, I feel so proud of you and continue to do the good job. God bless and keep you son.
