Good complete report, thank you. These doctors must be held accountable . I read Matthew Perry’s book, he tried as many addicts do to get well. I hope this makes a difference going forward to those addicts not dead yet.
The people who have lost a child to fentanyl want our borders closed & those bringing these drugs into our country prosecuted. The conviction of a few people doesn’t change the massive amount of drugs pouring into our country through our open borders. The people profiting off of these drugs go way beyond these people. The people who make massive profits are the ones who must be held to account.
I thought he had a live in aide that was a Gay girl. She didn't see this? I saw on IG someone said he left her out of his will. The past 2 days his IG has been filled with comments. I'm a NP but I have no idea what a vial costs for the hospital. When I was an RN I do know a full bottle of Vit B12 for injection was 72 cents and that people would have a $15 co-pay and about 1 vial gave about 20 doses. I never watched friends But I did read the book. Very sad.
During surgery its given to a pt. to make them unaware of time and space. Like a 4 hour surgery seems like 1/2 hour. Ketamine has a short 1.2 life. If you give a dose, its out of the body the next day but they were giving him BIG doses.
Terrible shame, that there are “doctors and medical personnel” who do not take their Oath, The Hippocratic Oath, seriously. Especially the part , “DO NO HARM”.
It takes time to build a case; they’ve probably been investigating and collecting evidence this whole time. Releasing info to the public during an active investigation can have an impact on any future trial, though. Standard.
@67italiana federal prosecutorial cases often take 5-10 years to build and collect evidence and strike plea deals for co-conspirators who testify against the others. That’s the reason why they have a 98% conviction rate. When they indict, they have more than enough evidence to secure convictions. (Therefore most will plea guilty for lower sentencing because lawyers know if the case goes to trial they will be convicted.)
It's ultimately the pharmaceutical companies that are pushing these awful addictive drugs. Americans rely too much on pharmaceuticals which only incentives the pharmaceutical ckmpanies and the doctors who are profiting from these drugs
Ketamine is coming across the border illegally & sold to dealers in our country. If you can’t see how massive this operation is, then you don’t have all the info. Ketamine clinics are closely monitored. There’s been a “war on drugs” for over 50 years, but it’s only gotten worse. Cases like this get lots of media attention, but the drugs coming into our country in droves must be addressed. Our fellow Americans are being targeted & eliminated. They aren’t the celebrities. They’re children & young people like we’ve never seen before. How do you think they’re getting into our country???
How many of you people blaming Perry for his addiction have had a family member or friend who was addicted? I was taught that when I was young, too, but I learned differently. I'm telling you as a person who's lost one to it and saw another battle for years against it that they do not WANT to be addicted, and many folks do NOT just wake up one day and say, hey, I'm going to become an addict. Many are prescribed elgal medications for pain or illnesses or given drugs by people they consider friends who are looking to make money off them. Your level of empathy is suspect by your unwillingness to look into or try to understand how psychologically (and physically - edit) difficult it is to quit anything, from caffeine to ketamine. Try being a better human.
Coming from 20 years of drug and alcohol addiction, drugs can be fun in the beginning when its all about partying with friends and just trying to get the experience of what its all about. Until they're not and you're at home getting high by yourself just to make it through the day. Almost 5 years clean now
@@dennistaylor9982 Kudos and strength to you. One of my brothers in law went down that route with his work friends until my sister became afraid for his life and gave him an ultimatim to go to rehab or move out. To his credit, he loved her enough to choose the former and stayed clean until the day he passed years later from a fast-acting cancer. He really was a wonderful, funny, kind man, and we miss him to this day.
It’s about time, too bad it takes the death of a famous person to get anything done. I don’t believe the investigation ever happens if a random person dies of the same thing.
probably because the average overdoser isnt dying after a personal assistant and actual doctors plot to use their addiction issues for their own financial gain.
@@CarlaKay23 well actually same people that killed the 19 year old. But still no mention of the actual source- guess the CA democrats don’t want to mention the totally open border
Please do not let these people walk away with light or no sentences. Please continue to follow up on cases like this where depraved individuals prey on those who are sick in their addiction. We are losing too many people in this country to various types of drug overdose with no accountability to those providing the drugs. This has got to stop or we are not a civilized people
I understand everyone's comments about special treatment because of who it was, but bottom line, these people can't do this to anyone else. He did say "and others", so the investigation was not just for Matthew's death. He wasn't the only victim.
This is off-topic, but what is the point of busting in on a press conference to speak over the actual press conference happening in real time? It's basically like saying to the viewer: you're too dumb to listen with your own ears, so let us recap for you without waiting for the conclusion of the press conference. I feel like this phenomenon has been happening more and more. It's so condescending and annoying. News outlets, do better!
I'm confused why a medical professional had to "prescribe" illegal drugs. Makes no sense. There must surely be a legitimate drug that could have been prescribed to assist Matthew in his battle with addiction. Well, that would have to be a moral and ethical medical professional I suppose. I just cleared up my own question. They were ripping Matthew off for as much money as they could grub. When you have 5 people involved with providing dangerous and expensive drugs it would make it so much more difficult for Matthew to stay clean. I'm glad the Justice Dept took these steps to prevent those 5 people from harming anyone else, and hold them accountable for their part in Matthews death.
I think we could appreciate that because MP’s family and friends have money to finance the investigation, let it be the means to help find these doctors, brokers and suppliers and lock them up. It’s Matthew’s way to free Matthew from the addiction that be tried to stop but failed and save other people still suffering along with their families
I absolutely agree. Some on here are blaming Matthew Perry just for being famous. Listen. Who made him famous. Him, and all the celebrities. Society does. Is this their fault? NO. We buy tickets to go to the movies, concerts etc. we want to be entertained, then we blame the celebrities, and look the preferential treatment bla bla. Actually, you can thank Matthew Perry, tragic of course that he died, his death brought these criminals out of hiding. Because of his death they will be brought to justice, they will not hurt anyone else. BUT. Someone else will take their place. Sadly. It goes on and on😢
@@gera1c1well said. Shame, some people just don't understand why actors and actresses deserve every penny they earn and more! #reikipip #MatthewPerry achieved global status which was his goal. And getting his message out about addiction couldn't have been performed better if it had been scripted. Now drug dealers are being imprisoned, the message is out... And ANYONE who blames can only but look at themselves. ❤. Thank you 😊
Well addiction is a male disease, passed on to women, so it's easy to give grace to men in a patriarchal society. Notice there hasn't been a single investigation of women's addictions.
@@45graham45 If you understood the psychology of addiction, you would understand what a silly statement that is. Nobody has the _intention_ of becoming addicted. And he was already taking ketamine for legitimate medical reasons. Should he have refused treatment altogether?
Did we need the recap from the anchor of details we just heard over the previous 14 minutes? You interrupted the DEA rep for what? To tell us everything we just heard from the previous two ppl? Sloppy reporting
@@duchesslisa9099 Stop it... Matt CHOSE to CONSUME those drugs, nobody else. I'll absolutely concede to the point that addiction is horrible BUT the man had all of the money and resources to get top notch recovery help.
I have been kind of thinking the same thing. Even though they tried to imply in the press conference that they do pursue cases like this frequently for lesser-known victims, certainly this will get a lot more press because it's high-profile. But I can't help thinking the same thing... It begs the question of how expansive investigations are (or aren't) on a regular basis.
It's not that his son wasn't famous enough because Carroll O'Connor definitely was famous enough. It was the times and the laws. Both things have been changed since then. Also, Matt died as a direct result of the drugs. The drugs actually killed him. Hugh killed himself. Yes, it was because he was on drugs, but the direct cause of his death was a gunshot (or was it hanging? I can't remember.) Sometimes, the little differences make a significant impact on how it plays out in court. It's not fair or right, but it is what it is. 😢
@@michele21auntiem My sympathies. I remember Senator Humphries going through the same issue with his daughter. He tried every way possible to save her. I wish I had a solution, but I don't.
Sorry to say but Matthew was not sober and died due to being an addict. He's was famous and I guess it makes him more important. It happens every second of every day. I'm glad they are going after dealers but I hope they go after dealers in poor neighborhoods. It sucks... I know my brother died in march due to his addiction and never being able to stay sober. I hope people realizes there is a way out!
What absolute parasites he had in his life... The one providing him w the drugs, AND the live-in assistant who apparently gave him the injection. Yes, the ultimate responsibility was his(Perry's), but people that facilitate your addiction should absolutely be held accountable. We mourn your untimely passing, Matthew, and your sense of being lost in Life. You needed stronger, more caring people to steer you away from this cr-p, & to give you a sense of value and, dare I say it, love.
Great job of following up on the death of me Mr.Perry OUR THANKS 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I continue to not understand how our celebrities died in such tragic and unnecessary ways, especially when they are surrounded by family and 'FRIENDS"
Technically yes, I guess, but everyone who chooses ego smoke or drink now know the dangers. I’m presuming that folks who find themselves addicted to unlicensed drugs delivered by people who may not know or care what these drugs can do. But doctors supplying killer drugs for money😳There is so much of our lives that are impacted by greedy conglomerates and barefaced criminals. Just look at e-cigarettes which manufacturers and governments around the world pretended was safe😳 E-Cigarettes are illegal in Singapore and they also have strict alcohol licence, plus, I’ve never seen anyone in Singapore smoking in a public place, never mind illegal drug use. Peoples health can be protected if governments care enough. But most don’t give a flying fig.
So, what happens to the hundreds of thousands of other people who have been poisoned by fentanyl?? Nothing is ever done for people who are not celebrities. Like my nephew, who died on 12.18.2022. RIP Jordan. All of them should be charged!!!
Please have authoritis investigate the Idaho 4 case and two other lives previously lost including Moscow PD, fraternities, sororities, and president of Univ.ofIdaho.
@christinewilson2348 Maybe it's because the whole public service is corrupt, including some police, judges, social welfare workers & they're purposely having ordinary people killed for the high-demand, lucrative, human meat black-market. I'm thinking of the Asians, Catholics, Arabs... & so on. Here in Australia, politicians, the media, advertising companies etc. are encouraging young people to go on the mental health register so they could go on the Disability Support Pension, the physically disabled such as on wheelchairs who are not disabled with help from corrupt doctors also etc. These young people are then murdered for the illegal tender, young, cannibal meat market & their money automatically put into their bank accounts every fortnight whereas the unemployed have to report every fortnight. The banks are in on it, the unemployment office, Christian charities, all the public service etc are receiving these pensioner's money. I suspect this is mirrored in America & other developed countries, with the flood of illegal immigrants at the Mexican border. This really has to end!!! Benjamin Rothchild 👋🤑⚰🌧
The nonsense people say. If anything this investigation is the only hate crime I see. Many people die everyday from these drugs but they only care about a rich guy. This is a hate crime on every average person whose addiction pipelines were not investigated
Okay it’s great that they are going after drug dealers, however, Matthew was the one paying them for all of it and asking for it. The responsibility should also be on him. He was a self proclaimed addict. He knew the chances he was taking. I liked him too but these people are being made an example of. I doubt he would have wanted the blame solely on them. He himself took responsibility for his addiction. This is all too much. I really don’t want to hear about celebrities overdosing anymore. It makes them out to be martyrs.
@@Beswift1989 And he could have left instructions with his family that his money should be used to help others. You don’t know. Frankly, it’s none of your business what he chose to do with his money. He was sick. I believe he tried very hard to hard to get sober. People he trusted let him down.
It is with a broken heart I write this. We talked so often Marty about writing ours, both being Canadian and giving service to others! God bless your sweet self
Here in Australia, the Vietnamese own most of the medical centers in the community throughout Australia having come here penniless as boat people during the 1970s & 80s. Not only the Vietnamese who are prominent in the health of Australia in all aspects such doctors, nurses, medical technicians etc. There are also a high proportion of people from the former Communist Bloc such as Romania, Bulgaria, the Ukraine just to name a few. I suspect some sort of collaborative conspiracy among former Communist countries to control the health of Australians in a very sinister way for profit & control of the country in some way. These former Communist countries have reverted back to Christianity such as the Orthodoxy religion & Catholicism. T 🤔😔🌧
Utterly disgusting that his personal assistant was in on this heinous crime. Just like Elvis, Prince and Michael Jackson, these people took advantage of their close relationship with the person. Perhaps Matthew's step-father stepped in to get these people arrested. Either way I am happy they pursued these scumbag people.
So unfortunately this happens all the time it's sad to hear about his passing obviously he's not the only one getting that service you always have to watch out for the government
I would think with his past he should of known what he was doing, and that you shouldn't do it in a hottub...actually why don't they arrest the hot tub company for the drowning. OK the text messages were stupid to text. The Dr. should be accountable and dealers should now be more careful when selling to rich people or people with parents that are affiliated with Politics. Still why did everyone know better except for Mathew. I think they should take the death charge off the table.
