I respect your feelings. But he spoke in Hindi because he is much comfortable with It. Speaking in English at a global platform without any aid can panic him. Hindi isn't the national language of India. It may be the chosen language of those who represent Hinduism like Swami Vivekananda. Regional language of our beloved PM Modi is Gujarati, you can understand why he didn't decide to speak in regional language gujarati/Kannada or even global language English. Hindi is prominent language of Hindustan. And by the way, only Hindi and English are official languages of our nation. I don't understand why few Kannada brothers don't take pride when Hindi is given importance, because somewhere you think it's just a regional language however that's not true because I am from Agra and my regional language is not Hindi but Braj Bhasha. If I start complaining why Hindi is given more importance than regional languages like Braj/awadhi/Bihari/haryanvi/punjabi/urdu/rajasthani. It will be ridiculous thought. So stop complaining when Hindi is given importance than any regional language of India.
