Reverend Glenn Germany, pastor of Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, was giving a sermon when a man tried to shoot him.
Bernard J. Polite, 26, of Braddock tried to shoot the pastor during service because "God told him to do it" was thwarted when his gun didn't fire and he was tackled by a congregant, authorities said.
The chaos took place Sunday while the service was being livestreamed, state police said in a news release.
The pastor told the media that Polite smiled at him and they made eye contact just before Polite pointed the gun at him. Germany then ducked out of the way as a male congregant tackled Polite.
Germany and another congregant subdued and held Polite until state troopers arrived.

Bernard j Polite(26years old). Read the description and do a google search. He had already killed Derek Polite(56 years) with the same gun at their shared address before heading to the church.

I agree. If he wanted to shoot him, he would be fatally wounded. He never even fired a round, and, he gave up quickly, with no fight. This was at least a mere statement by the perp, who did not intend to injure the pastor, but, possibly, a psy-op.

You should know how a gun works, before making such RIDICULOUS comments. Most likely, there was not a magazine in the gun, and/ OR, there was not a round in the chamber. And, BTW, there is ZERO indication that he pulled the trigger once, let alone, twice. I DID watch the video, and, one cannot see whether or not he pulled the trigger. Why would you make up such inaccurate statements, when you do not even have the premises to back them up in a logical fashion. Are you a progressive? It would not surprise me if you were.

I'm wondering the same thing. Why would the young man have the desire to shoot this pastor? Did they know each other? It doesn't make much sense that of all people he would choose to kill a pastor! It makes you wonder because of past stories we've heard about some priests that abused altar boys. I believe there is more to this story unless the young man was an actual demon.
