Great update. My experience - SoCal: stopped at the AD, waiting on a few GMTs; always thought the Skydweller was too big; tried it on and the lugs curve just enough; so I asked to add it to my list. 5 days later , get ‘The Call’ and offered a 336933 w the champagne dial. Very happy. I think the economy is getting worse. Keep some dry powder gentlemen.

@@alexisreyes1891 you’re right, but he’s a typical Miami guy. Minimal/bad taste. Not sure he’d have a perspective outside of those brands. His knowledge of Patek and AP is also rather limited aside from “Royal Oak” and “Nautilus.” Miami is a peacock culture - all flash, no substance.

Right now watches over $10,000 are very hard to sell not too many people have liquid cash laying around?

@@restaurantequipmentguy depends what country and then where you live in that country. If you’re in the US you might want to check how many people make over $100k, how many have houses valued over $1M. Many will be totally unaffected by the recession. $10k is not a lot of money. If you’re talking grey market and Rolex, much of the slowdown is just due to the prices going too high (and people are waiting expecting them to fall further) or people who refuse to used and want new from an AD/boutique at MSRP.

hey don't make many platinum pieces at Rolex to begin with, and when they do, they have 60+ different potential combinations... sticks, roman, arabic, fluted, smooth,10 different dial colors, baguettes markers, diamond bezels, diamond dial and sometimes diamond bands... Thats not counting off catalog pieces ...They may only make a couple hundred of an exact platinum / size / dial / combination. Daytona, 40mm Day date, 36mm Day date, 1908,

@@ManagerMatt1 💯 and if anyone wants one the JPN economy is in terrible shape, combined with the exchange rate; might be worth a trip. Saw a few (mint and very good) 2022 and 2023s on Chrono24 in the $80k’s - even with a 10% customs fee that’s a great price.

The market is all over the map depending on brand, specific model, and of course condition. We need to stop comparing prices to Q1 2022 when the market and the hype peaked. The market is still "normalizing" so collectors are being patient looking for real value (not watches are investments pricing). Even Rolex is seeing a 3% decline in sales in 2024!

I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from AMZWATCH for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.
