We document the growth of new born rabbits from birth until they open their eyes. Here we see daily growth and what you can expect to change each day as your rabbits get older.
I currently have 3 born in a burrow in my yard. Mom comes to feed them. They are over a week old, not sure exactly when they were born. I didn't know they were there. It rained their camp must have gotten flooded made them come out last Sat. I'm wondering how long they'll be here. When it's going to rain I cover it with a chair so they won't get wet, lol. They are so cute!
I have a wild baby that does not have his eyes open - something happened to mom and the only one that survived out of 5. I just have a blanket and a small pet carrier. Using canned cat milk with a tablespoon of heavy cream. I am open to any advice or resources to know I’m giving enough food and other care
Not sure what happened, if hawk or cat got mom, but my dogs dug up a nest of 4 newborn bunnies. I was able to save 1. I'm trying to nurse/raise it. It's a boy and I'm feeding KMR with an eye dropper. Eyes still closed but pretty good bit of fur. I'm thinking 4 days old maybe. I have been keeping him in my sport bra between my breasts. He seems to be doing better, moving around, cleaning himself, etc. any advice for me to make sure this little guy makes it?
I wish you would start doing you rabbit videos again. Please consider it, as there are so many more subjects to cover and my daughter and I love your content and they way in which you present it....We hope you'll consider it, as we've missed them
Ya at this age that has worried me as well but in a few days they will be much better. I have added some plywood in there since I shot the video but will remove it once the kits can get in and out of the nesting box them selfs, (couple more days)
I have tried several different styles of rabbit hutches and have found the wire bottom cages to be the best cages for my rabbits. I do ty to make sure they can spend time off the wire if they want to and i watch for sores on their feet but with californinan rabbits i seldom find anything that is concerning. Maybe if i didn’t give the resting pad i might find more but it just has not been an issue.
