The fact that this video less than 500 views. Is a absolute travesty. It is either bc boxing ppl don’t know the film exists on RU-vid, or those same so called “hardcore” boxing fans are spending too much time following Twitter beefs and posts and shit, rather than watching a boxing film like this. That has MORE BOXING PSYCHOLOGICAL GEMS THAN I COULD COUNT! RIP CUS ❤
The way you specifically explained that, lets me know that YOU are the fans you speak about. Share this vid and spread it so they know fam. Stay off twitter next time.
I watch a lot of boxing old and new. Even as far back as Jack Johnson who Ali spoke about. This documentary came as a suggestion by YT that i might like. I watched it to the end. The footage was quite emotional- seeing what Cus and Atlas did for the youth of their neighbourhood. And seeing the making of Iron Mike. Huge credit to Atlas and Cus.
Man i would have absolutely loved to have people like that around me to learn boxing from, rooney atlas and cus were all very smart and cared about what they were doing . tyson had a great team , his cut man and his two managers made up the perfect team , that was "TEAM TYSON " he shoulda stayed with them.
These were the good ole days before cus passed and all the claws came into take over the money man the champ the kid dynamite iron man Tyson!! Solid people around him back then made the solid unbeatable team
I loved to see how calm, cool and composed Teddy was whilst coaching these kids. Imagine if he'd trained Tyson for the Jake Paul and KOd the fuck out of him
@@peekabooboxingacademy I'm about to give it another listen, I've done it 2x so far :) Thx so much for posting this absolute gem...I've seen some of the footage before but never even close to the whole movie, and it's even better than I thought. Did you ever see the clip from 10-15 years ago where Teddy goes off on some big guy at a diner? It's classic. The guy who posted the video walked in to the men's room and Teddy and the other guy were already going at it. Haha. Teddy's one man I'd want in a fox hole with me for sure.
@@joeblough261 Haha no I haven’t but I’ll have to check it out. One of my mentors Darren was trained by Teddy back in the 80s. He said that whenever Teddy took him and the other fighters down to the Bronx for smokers, he would often end up physically getting into fights with other coaches when he found out they lied about their fighter’s record. Definitely a fighter.
If i could have a wish he wished for a bunch of cars , Then the kid say i want my very own house with slaves and id whip em to death ! WTF! then he says i wouldnt do it tho .... Thats just how i feel..... That shit suprised the hell outta me ! 😱🤕
@@Emir-bu1pv do your research before you post a comment, you don't know anything just don’t talk, are you angry that hé was 15yo and knock grown man the fuck out?
He was and still is a mouth breather. He stopped his amateur boxing career due to a back injury. But something tells me he also, like most fighters, ended up with a deviated septum, which ruins your chance at nasal breathing; which is also useful while fighting. If you'd like to know what a nasal deviation feels like, pinch your nose bridge and slightly bend it and attempt to breathe through your nostrils. It barely pulls nitrogen through your nose, hence forcing you to breathe through your mouth, which is a poor way to breathe (through the mouth.)
You gotta take your hat off to teddy atlas / incredible human being - I hope Tyson appreciates him and the other kids he helped - let’s face it - he trained the best fighter to ever wear box -
It's beautiful seeing Mike thrive in this situation... it's in stark contrast to seeing him with those islamic incubi he was eventually surrounded with when he nearly bit Evanders' ear off! But you gotta be aware of those "wh:te devils"... they are trouble! :|
