Thank you for showing a realistic slick back! I’ve been trying to do my hair for 30 min & I can not get it to look ‘perfect’ like a lot of the ones on here. I’m so frustrated. But this gave me peace
Make sure you hair is completely drenched when you plan on doing a slick back, I too myself had trouble but once I started drenching my hair it came out beautiful 😊
@@ewasadina1927 she knows everyone is regardless of their skin but she’s just saying Black is beautiful a lot of black peoples say it (maybe other race but I only hear black people say it) overall I’m not trying to come for you just wanted to let you know!
@@ewasadina1927y’all do this everytime somebody says this atp u white ppl are haters and jealousy of us just bunch of hating ahh ppl who wish they was black
Your hair is stunning. The frizz is coming from needing more hydration. Water your hair everyday mix with moisturizer. Twist it up at night or where twist for a couple of weeks
putting water on your hair every day can cause damage and make the hair shaft weaker over time. instead i would find products that work for you that moisturize your hair well and keep it that way for 1 week+. for me that’s african pride leave in and their curl cream together(i have high porosity). Another thing that will help is to make sure you are regularly few conditioning and it helps a ton to do it every wash day. Using a shampoo that doesn’t strip the hair too much is a good one as well.
This is literally my hair !!! It never gets slick like the other afro girls and I find comfort in knowing that I ain't the only one Plus no styling gel has worked on me what so ever
ik its been 5 months but wash ,thoroughly blowdry with heat protection and oil then let it sit for 5 mins and use gummy wax gel its in s big tub and gummy wax edge control do it in sections like she did and use a rat tail and brush to get it slicked down
I have her hair also. I use brown ampro gel then I put Gorilla Snot Gel on top and it lays flat. I tie it down at least 15 minutes, but the longer the better. Mines might wave up but it’ll still be flat. Otherwise look for a gel where water IS NOT the first ingredient.
I’ll use a whole jar doing it like this 😂 I cheat and do it on freshly washed hair. Immediately put it in a ponytail, lay the gel down thick, detangling brush, redo the ponytail, boar brush, and add got 2b spray, fine tooth comb the perimeter & leave to dry. Lasts me nearly a week on 4a hair
This is my favorite technique in my slick back ponytails. Make sure every inch of the hair has product so it lays right lol. Gorgeous ty for the video ❤️
Wow you have beautiful, healthy hair! I love that it’s slick but still shows off your texture. I always struggled with slick buns because my hair just looked dry 😂
Gotta get that shine and Jam in the yellow jar. I just discovered this and I believe it’s been on the market for 20 years 😆. I’m always looking for the latest and the greatest but I always come running back to the OG’s.
My hair does the exact same thing and it pisses me off. It slicks so good then 5 minutes later the entire top of my head is frizzy and looks like I did absolutely nothing to it! 😔😔😔
curly hair is so pretty but it also takes a lot of effort and time to style though, and a lot of patience. i used to have curly hair and styling it took me like 1 whole hour to style 🥹
