My parents always did that - but they had 5 kids.. so I'm sure it was more about being efficient and just wrapping gifts in whatever! lol I do enjoy browsing the wrapping paper isles! haha So many options I get overwhelmed! This Last year was the first year I bought new wrapping paper since 2008. lol b/c I had so much!!
hi everyone who ever reading this just know , you re all are so beautiful inside and out never let anyone bring you down you're perfect jus the way god made you , always jus be you ,never change be happy ,hope everyone ,get what they ,want for christmas an hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year god bless you alll
Sidney's Solis Thank you for the beautiful and kind words. It’s nice to know there are accepting and loving people , especially after the last few months. :)
I have no idea why I like watching these videos but you make wrapping entertaining. And kudos for still posting videos and actually doing Xmas when you've just had a baby. If I had a baby this close to Xmas I would be wrapping the baby up and be like, 'this is what I did for Xmas' lol
I secretly love that you wrap every single gift. Our tradition was always only "big" gifts were wrapped and everything else was left unwrapped, partially out of laziness honestly.. BUT wrapping them makes for a whole new experience of guessing game: is this a tsum tsum plate or a kindle fire? fun times! : )
My boyfriends family will wrap all of their Christmas movies in wrapping paper and every night from December until January each person in their big family (7) will unwrap the Christmas movie to watch that night!
I normally go to the dollar store and get about ten different kinds of wrapping paper. I just love the contrast, it makes it look like their are multiple gifts and it is just so satisfying to see them under the tree shining in all their different colors and patterns.
As for traditions, the youngest opens the first present and then everybody counting up from the youngest opens one present in intervals. Its so everyone can see the reaction to what the person got. (Admittedly everybody staring me down like that makes me a little uncomfortable but whatever)
Rachel McAllister Same!!Except we don’t go youngest to oldest,we go from first to last, like last year I was sitting closest to the tree,so I went first. Then my sister was sitting next closest,So she went next.Kinda confusing, lol.
We Normally Open 1 Present On Christmas Eve We Also Started This Tradition Last Year And Is An Elf On The Shelf! And My Family Also Started THIS Traditon This Year, It Is A Christmas Pickle! The Christmas Pickle Is Where Parents Hide It On The Tree Whoever Finds It First Opens The First Present! (Christmas Pickle Is At The Dollar Tree!)
Interesting!! I'll have to look into the christmas pickle! lol My husbands family- growign up - they were allowed to open one gift on Christmas eve ---- with their feet! lol :)
I really have to go Christmas shopping. I have my brothers and my cousins gift and it’s the 10th!!! I always get early gifts, but I wrap the gifts the day I get them... I love wrapping fifties, so this year I’m going to get all of my gifts for people and then I’m wrapping them all at once, so it’s fun. I also looovveee Christmas gift shopping!! Sorry, I wrote a lot
in finland we actually celebrate christmas on christmas eve! christmas day is more like a day to relax. a kind of weird tradition in finland would be that every christmas eve we go to the cemetery and light up candles to our loved ones graves. i don’t know if that is a tradition in other countries, but i think it’s a very beautiful tradition. also it looks amazing if you go there when it’s dark when the whole cemetery is filled with candles.
When more than one of us are wrapping, we always lose the tape a few times. I like to do all things Christmas while sipping a glass of wine except when we are unwrapping on Christmas day. That's just inappropriate. :) Merry Christmas!!!
haha! Glad to hear I could be somewhat helpful! I hate writing name tags!! lol - one year when they were younger I printed out a picture of their face a bunch of times and taped that on to their gift! lol
when i was little, we left out cookies for santa and baby carrots outside for each reindeer. my dad would bite the carrots in half and put half back outside. also, because my parents waited until christmas eve to wrap most of the presents, they would let us open our stockings before they woke up and told us not to wake them up before a certain time. the rest of the presents we had to wait to open. we also did the one present on christmas eve rule.
My mom has to worry about getting 3 kids stuff for Christmas. She spends around like $500-600 a year for Christmas, and she already spent $200 on me. It was a PS4 Slim, I currently have the Xbox One S and I am thinking of selling it for a phone because I really need one. But i'm humble for what I have. :) P.S. I already seen the PS4 box and the receipt etc. and she didn't really care. Lol
I love watching these videos and you're a lot better than I am at wrapping Christmas gifts. But I have gotten better then how I used to wrap gifts lol.
I have literally spent all night catching up on all your videos I've missed! lol I love you! My husband is always like what are you always laughing at whenever I watch you. I also live in Florida and I have an almost two year old!
we do the same thing for both of our kids. It started because they would bring every single present over and ask who it was for because they couldn't read their name. We have two kids. One color on each side of the tree.... it works out perfect!
My ocd kicked in hard watching this. Haha! I like your voice and enjoy listening to you more than anything. Hope that's not too creepy to hear. Happy holidays! ❤️
In Finland, we open our presents on christmas eve night. First we talk with our relatives, eat some christmas food together, then Santa Claus comes and has like two big bags full of presents for our family of course and our relatives who are with us... Still... So it's kinda like a family meeting...? But with Santa...?😂
I know I'm a little late. but a family tradition we have is on Christmas eve we get to open one present. it is always new PJs that we were that night. so that way when my mom takes pictures of us opening presents we have nice PJs on
THE WADS omg I cant believe you actually answered me😂but it’s really cool. They have this place to get hit coco and you can get it and walk around and see everything lit up at night it’s really fun
we have one wrapping paper for each girl too. We go look at lights as well with a cup of hot cocoa. We also have 1 gift we open xmas eve it's new PJ's every year. I know so boring but we go to my dads on xmas eve n the girls have a ton of gifts they opens so we don't do "gifts" for them. Santa does and my mom does :)
Love the p.j's on Christmas eve! We do that in our 'christmas eve box' but I didn't put one together this year! lol So they can wake up with fresh p.j's on Christmas morning! :) :)
The wwe Man no, I don't hate. It's not right for a woman who just had a baby to not have any help. It is ridiculous that a grown man and the father of the children can't pitch in. My husband would never leave me to do it all alone, especially after just having a baby! You are the hater.
For some reason, the last few years I've always put on a Jane Austen movie while wrapping (Emma, Sense and Sensibility, etc), so it's become my little tradition. This year I'm thinking Pride and Prejudice, the good long BBC one with Colin Firth. Happy Christmas to me! :)
She makes it looks so easy and I’m over here like “I dont think that this is right...”and the present is not even wrapped 😂😂. Also my traditions are that every year we switch from my home and my grandparent home :)
I know that when I have kids one day I’m gonna spoil them so bad. Like my kids will probably get like 20 gifts each on Christmas. I know it’ll be bad. But I just absolutely love buying stuff for people & wrapping Christmas gifts
I’m here two years later....because I love that you speak during the wrapping! Our traditions are decorating the Christmas tree with our kids, nieces and nephews after thanksgiving dinner...the stockings go up December 1st and the elves will leave little treats in them when the kids are good and little tricks (bottle caps or some version of getting coal) when they are “bad”...we also have the disposable advent calendars for each kid every year as well which helps them to eat their dinners every night!
I tend to wrap presents like right away. It's not even December and I'm practically done with wrapping. Just waiting for two more gifts to arrive in the mail. As for wrapping paper, I tend to use whatever the heck I feel like using.
My family’s Christmas Eve traditions: Make Santa’s cookies, make reindeer food and sprinkle it in the yard, clean our room(because the next day it will be trashed, have a Christmas party, get stuff to make cinnamon rolls(for breakfast on Christmas), open one present early, go around town looking at lights, watch Christmas movies, I know there is more I just can’t remember
Not sure why I'm watching this video in May. But I remember when it was first posted thinking, why do people watch people wrap gifts? Now every year I look forward to your gift wrapping videos. But not in May 😂😂
my mom always made sure Santa's wrapping job was perfect for me and my brothers.. I remember when I was a kid thinking "wow.. only Santa can wrap like this! he must be real!!" lmao your kids may have a different Santa than I had lmao
I am 14 years old.. Canadian. my favourite thing to do on Christmas with my family is baking short bread cookies, and aswell going around looking at Christmas lights!
When is was little my parents would wrap everything with the same paper then on Christmas Day wing it, based on shape. So they would look at something for a second then say who it’s for. The only thing with labels was clothes because all the boxes are the same.
I know I’m late but a tradition I do is we have a tree decorating party. Some of my family comes over to decorate a tree. We put out sweet trays and just a bunch of good foods! Then after we eat we decorate the tree and we talk about our past Xmas’s.
Your kids will find out what there getting becase your posting the video what if you post it after christmas because your wasting your time wrapping present they really know what there getting and its not a surprise you just waihts some money to rap the gifts im sorry if the waist is a wrong spelling
My family’s Christmas traditions are riding around to try and find the best Christmas lights and we watch our favourite Christmas movie before we go to bed in Christmas even
Great job and congratulations on the birth of your child . I wish there would be no music or at least low sound because I like to hear the sound of paper.
I get that quite often actually! haha.. even when growing up - even more of a coincidence, my name is Kimmy :) lol well Kimberly but my childhood nickname was Kimmy :)
